Abstract

Penelitian bahan ajar pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat siswa kelas X MAS PP Raudhatul Hasanah Medan. Pengembangan bahan ajar teks naratif berbasis Sarkol VideoScribe mengadaptasi Kurikulum 2013 Kompetensi III. Keunggulan dari pengembangan berbasis Sparkol VideoScribe ini antara lain: (1) Meningkatkan materi ajar menjadi yang paling menarik dan efektif. (2) Dapat membantu meningkatkan minat siswa dalam membaca dan aktif di dalam kelas. (3) Merangsang siswa menghadiri pelajaran. (4) Meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. (5) Membuat siswa lebih eksis. (6) Guru menikmati dan melayani dalam suasana pembelajaran. Pendekatan penelitian dan pengembangan ini akan menghasilkan produk jadi. Paradigma pengembangan lima langkah ADDIE adalah salah satu yang digunakan. Analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi adalah langkah-langkah pengembangan. Sebelum mencari hasil uji-t, penyelidikan menetapkan hasil normalitas dan homogenitas. T-hitung adalah 16,2 dan T-tabel adalah 1,6892 sebagai konsekuensi dari perhitungan tersebut. Karena thitung > ttabel dan terdapat perbedaan yang mencolok antara hasil belajar sebelum dan sesudah penggunaan bahan ajar berbasis Sparkol VideoScribe subtema “binatang terpintar” pada siswa kelas X MAS PP Raudhatul Hasanah Medan, artinya Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima.

Abstract

Communities have an important role in preserving culture and also local wisdom in the area where they live and live. The role of the community is very important to maintain and also develop local culture and wisdom and traditions so that they continue to live and accompany the community in every life. This research aims to determine the role of society in the development of culture and local wisdom in the era of digital media and globalization. The research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method that collects data in an incentive and systematic way to obtain information and also knowledge about the role of the community in developing local culture and wisdom in the digital media era. In this studyresearchers will interact and communicate with the community, especially in the province ofNorth Sumatra regarding the role of the community in developing local culture and wisdom in the digital media era. In particular, this era of globalization has had a huge influence onthe world of art and culture, especially the local cultures of the local community, which are beginning to erode and are also in danger of extinction.

Abstract

Guided by the research questions, this study is designed to achieve three main objectives. To design and develop a prototype of English vocabulary teaching materials based on Cooperative Learning principles for Grade VII students at SMP Langkat Binjai. To validate the developed materials through expert evaluation and pilot implementation. To assess the effectiveness of the materials in enhancing students’ vocabulary acquisition and active learning participation. This research employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model as its instructional design framework. R&D is appropriate for studies that aim to produce educational products—such as teaching materials-and systematically test their quality and effectiveness in real-world contexts. The ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) was selected due to its structured yet flexible nature and its wide acceptance in educational material development. The conclusions of this research can be categorized into five major areas corresponding to the ADDIE model: Development of Materials, Validation of Materials, Implementation of Materials, Effectiveness of Materials, Practicality and Pedagogical Implications

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between learning motivation and student learning outcomes in the Indonesian language subject, especially in the material of writing simple pantun. The problem raised in this study is the low learning outcomes of students in writing pantun and the alleged influence of their level of learning motivation. The research method used is a quantitative method with a correlational approach. The research sample consisted of 22 grade V students of SDN 22 Pangkatan, who were selected using a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected through a learning motivation questionnaire and learning outcome test. The statistical test used is Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis to determine the relationship between the two variables. The results of the study indicate that there is a significant relationship between learning motivation and learning outcomes in writing simple pantun. The correlation coefficient value (r) = -0.295 with a significance value of p = 0.016 is obtained. Although the correlation is negative, this relationship remains significant at the 5% level, indicating that the higher the students' learning motivation, the better their learning outcomes. The coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.875, which means that learning motivation contributes 87.50% to student learning outcomes, while the remaining 12.50% is influenced by other factors. The conclusion of this study is that learning motivation has a significant impact on student learning outcomes. Therefore, teachers are expected to be able to improve learning strategies that can motivate students, such as the use of more interactive methods, giving awards, and creating a more conducive learning environment

Abstract

This study examines the reinterpretation of the Ingkung offering tradition among Javanese people born in Sumatra, particularly in Karang Anyar Village, Simalungun Regency. The study aims to answer three research questions: (1) What are the symbolic meanings of Ingkung offerings as interpreted by the community? (2) How do these offerings function as a medium of communication with God and ancestors, a symbol of harmony, and a carrier of moral values? (3) How has the Ingkung tradition been adapted in the diaspora context? This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using Charles Sanders Peirce’s semiotic framework. Data were collected through participatory and non-participatory observations conducted over three months and in-depth interviews with 12 participants, including community leaders, traditional leaders, and local residents. Document analysis was also used to support the findings. The results reveal that Ingkung offerings function as a complex symbolic system. The Ingkung chicken, shaped in a prostrating position, symbolizes submission and devotion to God; tumpeng rice represents the cosmic mountain and harmony; while fruits signify fertility and prosperity. These elements collectively convey life messages related to gratitude, balance, and social solidarity. The study also finds that the tradition has undergone adaptation in the Sumatran context while maintaining its core philosophical values. This study contributes to the understanding of cultural reinterpretation in diaspora communities and demonstrates the applicability of Peirce’s semiotic framework in analyzing traditional rituals in contemporary socio-cultural settings.

Abstract

The partner of the service activity is the Tambar Malem Group which is engaged in the business of Karo traditional herbs for traditional medicinal ingredients. The Tambar Malem group which consists of housewives to date still producing traditional Karo ingredients . Mitra is located in Bahorok District, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra Province. Partner problems in the field of production. In production still use simple tools and manuals so the amount of production is still small. The implementation method uses education and counseling,focus group discussions, ,accompaniment, evaluation. Solutions to partner priority problems from (1) Aspectproduction including Focus Group Discussion (2) procurement and use of equipment (3) preparation of materials; (3) Implementation of training (4) Evaluation. Abstract

This study examines the efficacy of contextual teaching and learning (CTL) in enhancing reading proficiency among eighth-year students at SMAN 1 Panai Hilir. The research questions were as follows: (a) To what extent is the use of contextual teaching and learning (CTL) effective in improving students’ vocabulary? (b) What are the perceptions of students with respect to vocabulary acquisition through CTL? The research objectives were to ascertain (1) the efficacy of using CTL in improving students’ vocabulary and (2) students’ perceptions of vocabulary acquisition through CTL at the eighth-grade students of SMAN 1 Panai Hilir. The research employed a pre-experimental method with a pretest and posttest design, with the intention of providing a systematic expression or description of the data collected from a pre-experimental investigation. All eighth-year students at SMAN 1 Panai Hilir constituted the target population for this investigation during the 2024/2025 academic year. A purposive sampling approach was used to draw a sample from the population, with the resulting sample comprising 25 students. The sample was drawn from the lower class, with a total of 25 students. The research instruments consisted of a vocabulary test and a questionnaire. The vocabulary test was designed to assess the students' comprehension of the material, while the questionnaire aimed to gauge their perceptions. The research yielded two key findings: a pretest and a posttest. The results of the statistical analysis revealed that t-test values (21.823 > 2.064) were significantly different before and after the CTL intervention, indicating an improvement in vocabulary acquisition. This finding supports the hypothesis that the CTL method is an effective approach to enhancing vocabulary skills in 8th grade students at SMAN 1 Panai Hilir.
