Abstract

Electric bicycles in the modern era require useful features to transform transportation into a space for innovation, aiming for energy-efficient, environmentally friendly, and safe riding experiences. This research integrates several features, including the control system for bicycle lighting, hazard warning using a buzzer, PID control for the bicycle motor, and the use of supercapacitors in the battery system. The objective of the research on the bicycle lighting control system is to achieve stable and accurate control of light intensity with an average error rate of 5.887%, a recovery time of 1.032 seconds, and power consumptionranging from 2.784W to 8.664W. The objective of the hazard warning system using a buzzer is to create an automatic warning system based on Mamdani fuzzy logic, where the experimental PWM output matches the PWM output from the fuzzy design in MATLAB. The purpose of the PID control research is to enhance the performance of the bicycle's BLDC motor, aiming to reduce overshoot by 80%, rise time by 50%, and settling time by 50%. The experimental results of the implemented supercapacitor battery system demonstrate a decrease in the maximum voltage output from 42.2V to 35.5V and a reduction in the battery'speak current from 19.1A to 16.9A. Furthermore, the output power exhibits an average decrease from 679.172W to 586.508W. Keywords: PID, Light, Buzzer, Supercapacitor

Abstract

Cigarettes are a mixture of tobacco, cloves and other ingredients wrapped in paper. The content of substances in cigarettes consists of nicotine, carbon monoxide (CO), tar which are carcinogenic and free radicals, such as nitric oxide radicals and so on. However, this application is limited only by measuring gases which are considered to represent the overall content of cigarette smoke. The gas is Hydrogen and Ethanol. In this study smoke and CO gas levels will be used as input to the control system, the output is in the form of a pwm duty cycle. The input value will be processed by fuzzification, the fuzzy set value will be matched with the rule value used, then it will be the output value after going through the defuzzification process. Fuzzy Logic Controller to get the PWM value from the relay which will be used to adjust the exhaust fan rotating speed. The test results show that fuzzy logic can provide a rule based on the existing smoke sensor in the smoke detector. Based on the test results obtained, that fuzzy logic can be implemented as a rule maker in the detection tool as soon as possible. Abstract

Electric bicycles in the modern era require useful features to make this mode of transportation a space for innovation to create systems that are more energy efficient, environmentally friendly, and safe for riders. In this study, several features were integrated, such as a light control system for bicycle lights, warning of danger using a buzzer, PID controller for bicycle motors, and supercapacitors for batteries. The research objective of a light control system based on power consumption efficiency is to produce a stable and accurate light intensity control response with an average error value of 5.887% and a recovery time value when given a disturbance of 1.032 seconds and consume a minimum of 2.784W of power and a maximum of 8.664 W. The purpose of hazard early warning research using a buzzer is to create an automatic warning system in accordance with Mamdani's fuzzy logic which in the testing process the output value of the PWM prototype is the same as the PWM output of the Fuzzy Matlab design. The aim of the PID controller research is to improve the performance of BLDC motors on bicycles, with targeted response characteristics of <14 s rise time, <15 rpm overshoot, <3 rpm steady-state error, and <1 s settling time. The PID system that has been tuned meets all target response characteristics besides settling time, with a rise time of 11.96 s, overshoot of 6.4 rpm, steady-state error of 2.71 rpm, and settling time of 1.17 s. Based on the experimental results, the supercapacitor battery system that has been implemented shows a decrease in the maximum output voltage from 42.2 V to 35.5 V and the peak battery current decreases from 19.1 A to 16.9 A, while the results of the output voltage and current experience a decrease in average power from 679.172 W to 586.508 W. Abstract

This research offers a scheme of orientation system toward moving object in 3-dimensional space that using Stereo Vision Camera. The system benefits in giving an alternative solution in projecting practically without manual identification by conventional measuring device. The result of the projection in the system is in the form of coordinate position information (x, y, z), the length, the width, and the height of the object detected. The output displayed in the real-time digital image with 3-dimensional modeling. In the process of the object identification, there was a stage when an image was converted from colored image to binary image. But the conversion used the threshold method which was considered less efficient when an object moved. As consequence, the new adaptive method in solving the problem was needed. Genetic Algorithm was proposed as the optimization method because it was considered suitable with the emerging problems. In the optimization process, genetic algorithm was in a task of searching process and determining the threshold value as the process of creating binary image. The result shows an increased accuracy in the identification process after the system had been optimized by the Genetic Algorithm (GA).

Abstract

The main focus of this journal is the design of a household-scale biogas digester system. The research method begins with a literature study, followed by a survey of the research location, data collection of biomass weight, analysis of biomass weightdata at the household scale, analysis of biomass weight data at the village scale, and finally drawing conclusions and providingrecommendations. The results of this thesis include, firstly, on a household scale, the maximum biomass weight obtained includescow manure weighing 47.4 kg per day and goat manure weighing 11.648 kg per day, a C/N ratio of biomass of 19.93, a volume ofwater mixed with biomass of 123,920 cm³ per day, a potential biogas energy production of 2,478,400 cm³ per day, potential electricity that can be generated is 15.118 kWh per day, material requirements for building the biogas digester system include a total need for 2,266 bricks, 619.15 kg of cement, 2.18 m³ of sand, 133.64 L of water, 0.0916 m³ of fine aggregate, 0.11 m³ of coarse aggregate, 6” PVC pipe measuring 2.9572 m, 6” PVC sockets of 2 pieces, 1/2" galvanized steel pipe measuring 0.3154 m, 1/2" galvanized sockets of 1 piece, and 1/2" gas taps with 3/8” output of 1 piece with a construction cost of Rp. 5,445,973.43, a difference in potential electricity energy compared to electricity consumption of 7.9425 kWh per day, and the implementation of a combined scheme of PLN electricity installation with a biogas generator requires additional components such as a biogas generator, a 4A Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB), an Auto Transfer Switch (ATS), and NYY cables 2 x 1.5 mm². Secondly, on a village scale, the maximum biomass weight obtained includes cow manure weighing 679.4 kg per day and goat manure weighing 294.112 kg per day, a C/N ratio of biomass of 20.52, a volume of water mixed with biomass of 2,094,080 cm³ per day, a potential biogas energy production of 41,881,600 cm³ per day, potential electricity that can be generated is 255.48 kWh per day, the number of biogas digester systems that can be built is 16 units with a construction cost of Rp. 87,135,571.84, and the cost difference of full PLN electricity compared to a combination of PLN and biogas is Rp. 10,362,268.80 or 79%. Abstract

Cold storage is a room for storing a product with a temperature that can be adjusted to suit the needs of the product. Properstorage is recommended to maintain product quality in the hands of consumers. The freshness of the product on delivery depends on temperature being less than 25oC. This study was conducted with the aim of observing the effect of storage temperature on the quality of products during shipment from the manufacturer to the hands of the consumer. Analysis of product storage on cold storage can maintain freshness and good quality of product. To condition the room temperature in the required batas, cold storage uses a steam compression refrigeration system to cool it down. Refrigeration can also be said to be a process of transferring heat from a material or room to another material or room (Ilyas, 1993). Hydrocarbon refrigerants are a sustainable solution as an environmentally friendly alternative, but have flammable properties. In order to overcome the risk of potential fire, advanced safety technologies such as PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) are required. The system is designed to be able to control temperature using the Ziegler-Nichols PID tuning method. To control it, a secondary controller (control valve) and a primary controller (temperature) are needed, where in this research the first Ziegler-Nichols method was used.The PLC programming method in this research is used for security purposes. The system is designed to be able to automaticallystop in cases of leaks. The test results show that the system can run according to the limits set with high pressure values of 161-249, low pressure 17-29, current <50, and voltage <380. Thus, PLC technology not only increases operational efficiency, but also ensures that the use of hydrocarbon refrigerants is carried out with the maximum level of safety. Abstract

Peningkatan kebutuhan energi listrik diIndonesia menuntut efisiensi optimal pada pembangkitlistrik, khususnya Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap (PLTU)yang banyak menggunakan boiler sebagai sumber uapbertekanan tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan merancang sistem kontrol ratio udara guna mencapai pembakaran bahan bakar yang sempurna padaruang bakar boiler tipe Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB) diPT. Pindo Deli Pulp and Paper Mills. Penelitian dilakukandengan pendekatan studi literatur, pengambilan datalapangan, serta perhitungan efisiensi menggunakan metode direct. Parameter utama yang dianalisis meliputi ratio udara-bahan bakar, tekanan, suhu, serta kandungan oksigen, dengan pengambilan data melalui sensor thermocouple, pressure transmitter, dan oxygen analyzer yangdiintegrasikan ke dalam sistem Valmet DNA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kontrol ratio udara yang tepat pada primary dan secondary air fan berpengaruh signifikanterhadap kestabilan pembakaran dan efisiensi sistem boiler. Evaluasi terhadap efisiensi boiler menunjukkan performaaktual mencapai 89,03% dari desain, dengan potensipeningkatan efisiensi melalui optimasi sistem kontrol udaraotomatis berbasis Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangansistem kontrol pembakaran berbasis automasi untuk meningkatkan efisiensi energi dan mengurangi emisi padaindustri berbasis boiler. Abstract

Salah satu pemanfaatan Aquarium adalah dengan menjadikannya aquascape yang mana aquarium diisi denganikan hias dan tanaman hias sehingga mendekati bentuk hábitat aslinya. Perawatan aquascape tidak mudah, salahsatunya adalah dengan mengontrol temperatur air dan pencahayaan pada aquascape tersebut. Temperatur yangtidak ideal dapat mempengaruhi ikan menjadi stress, rentan sakit dan memungkinkan ikan mati. Sedangkan untukpencahayaan berguna sebagai sumber energi tanaman untuk melakukan fotosíntesis. Sehingga penelitian inidilakukan untuk kontrol temperatur air tetap ideal dan kontrol pencahayaan untuk tanaman cukup dalammelakukan fotosíntesis. Kontrol temperatur menggunakan thermoelectric cooler. Thermoelectric cooler dapatmemindahkan energi dari satu sisi ke sisi lainnya yang menyebabkan salah satu sisi menjadi dingin dan sisilainnya menjadi panas. Kontrol cahaya digunakan lampu LED SMB yang mana LED ini sudah dapatmemancarkan cahaya yang cukup untuk aquascape. Pengontrolan dua variabel menggunakan fuzzy logiccontroller, dengan Arduino Uno sebagai mikrokontroler. Hasil penelitian ini setelah percobaan sistemdilaksanakan adalah suhu aquascape mencapai steady state pada 25.1oC tanpa beban, 25.3oC dengan beban danLED akan menyala ketika LUX diatas 150 dan LED mati ketika LUX dibawah 250.KATA KUNCI: aquascape, thermoelectric cooler, LED SMD, fuzzy logic controller
