Abstract

Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui proses meningkatnya kemampuan menulis kalimat menggunakan model pembelajaran picture and picture dan untuk membuktikan bahwa model pembelajaran picture and picture dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis kalimat anak tunarungu di kelas VIII di SLB Negeri 2 Padang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian Single Subjek Research (SSR). Penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga kondisi, yaitu kondisi baseline pertama (A1) intervensi kedua (B) dan baseline ketiga (A2). Dalam penelitian ini teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan pengumpulan data dengan observasi langsung. Didapatkan hasil bahwa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran picture and picture dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis kalimat anak tuna rungu di kelas VIII di SLB Negeri 2 Padang

Abstract

Abstract. This research was conducted based on the low ability of the students with medium mental retardation in class X to use money, especially to add to subtract.They seemed to have problem in understanding abstract consept. To deal with this problem, role play method was applied. The purpose of this research was to; (1) reveal the learning process by using currency Rp.100 – Rp.10.000, and (2) to prove whether the use of role play method could increase the ability of the students with medium retardastion to use currency Rp.100 – Rp.10.000 in class X of SMALB Al-Azhar Bukittinggi.This was a Classroom Action Research which was conducted collaboratively with the classroom tercher and three students with medium mental retardation (HN,DV,and AD) in class X of SMALB Al-Azhar Bukittinggi, The data were gathered through observation, test and documentasion. The data gotten were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively.The result of the research indicated that; 1) the learning process by using money and role play method was conducted in two cycles. Cycle I consisted of five meetings while cycle II consisted of five meetings. The respective cycle was started from planning, acting (pre-activities, whilst-activities and post-activities), observing, analyzing and reflecting, 2) The result of the learning process showed that, in the assessment phase the ability of  HN and DV in adding was 20 and AD was 10, while the ability of HN and AD in subtracting was 10 and DV was 20. After role play method was applied in cycle I, the ability to use money of HN was 100, DV was 90 and AD was 80. In cycle II, the subtracting ability of  HN was 80, DV was 100 and AD was 70. Based on the result of the research it was suggested to the school fellows, the teacher and the upcoming researcher to use role play method to teach the students with medium mental retardation. Key Terms; Currency, Role Play Method, Students With Medium Mental Retardation

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan siswa tunarungu yang sedang melakukan proses belajar mengajar  menggunakan komunikasi nonverbal atau menfungsikan semua organ tubuh dan juga berbagai macam ekpresi yang diperlihatkan dalam berinteraksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjabarkan bentuk komunikasi nonverbal guru dalam proses belajar mengajar bagi siswa tunarungu di SLB Perwari padang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deksriptif kualitatif dengan menjabarkan peristiwa atau fenomena. Tiga orang Guru yang mengajar siswa tunarungu yaitu pada tingkat SD, SMP dan SMA menjadi subjek penelitian. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi, kemudian dari hasil tersebut dapat ditarik suatu kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa gerakan tubuh guru seperti bahasa isyarat sangat penting bagi siswa tunarungu pada saat proses belajar mengajar agar materi yang disampaikan dapat diterima dengan baik, artikulasi dan gerak bibir guru harus jelas dengan intonasi sedang dan jarak antara guru dengan siswa harus dekat, agar siswa paham dengan yang disampaikan guru. Guru juga harus memperhatikan ketepatan waktu berkomunikasi dalam menyampaikan materi untuk mendapatkan respon yang diharapkan. Ketika siswa sedang bersedih pada saat proses belajar mengajar berlangsung, maka guru akan melakukan sentuhan yang dapat menunjukkan rasa kasih sayang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi hasil pengamatan dan pengalaman peneliti, bahwa pembelajaran tematik terpadu di kelas IV Sekolah Dasar terutama pada dua mata pelajaran yaitu Ips dan Pkn yang memangaitkan satu dan lainya. Tempat pelaksaanan penelitian di UPT.SDN 08 Mandeh kelas IV sebanyak 28 siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan dan mengungkapkan keberhasilan penggunaan media animasi dengan menggunakan model Squenced pada pembelajaran terpadu di kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Media animasi untuk materi IPS dan PKn. Penelitian ini menggunakan model penelitian Squenced dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas IV SDN 08 Mandeh. Penelitian model ini menggunakan model penelitian ini meliputi beberapa tahap, yaitu: (1) urutan, (2) rangkaian, atau (3) rentetan, sehingga model sequenced dapat diartikan sebagai model urutan/rangkaian. Dengan artikulasi yang terbatas lintas/antar disiplin ilmu, guru dapat mengatur ulang urutan topik sehingga unit-unit yang mirip dapat bersinggungan satu sama lain. Dua disiplin ilmu yang berhubungan dapat diurutkan sehingga isi materi pelajaran dari keduanya dapat diajarkan secara paralel. Dengan mengurutkan topik yang akan diajarkan, kegiatan masing-masing displin ilmu ini dapat saling meningkatkan satu sama lain. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (research and devlopment). Setelah melalui tahap produksi dihasilkan produk awal kemudian dilakukan validasi oleh seorang ahli isi mata pelajaran, ahli desain pembelajaran, dan ahli media pembelajaran. Selanjutnya produk diujicobakan kepada siswa melalui tiga tahap, yaitu uji coba perorangan, uji coba kelompok kecil, dan uji coba lapangan. Kesimpulan penelitian ini bahwa media pembelajaran video animasi tervalidasi ahli dan menarik.

Abstract

Peer Mediated Intervention untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Sosial Anak Berkesulitan Belajar di Sekolah Dasar InklusifAbstract: This study aims to test the effectiveness of peer mediated intervention (PMI) to improve social skills at children with learning disabilities in SDN 03 Alai Padang. This study used a single subject design with multiple baseline across subject models. Five children with mild learning disabilities as a target child and five trained peer mediator to apply PMI in the lessons Indonesian (repeated reading). Data collected with the recording frequency of social skills format, social skills scale, and self-report. The results showed that PMI was effective for improving the social skills for the targeted children respectively are: the TS’s; the KY’s; the HL’s; the RA’s; and the KA’s. As the instructional effects, PMI also decreased the frequency of reading mistakes at the targeted children from baseline phase to intervention phase. Based on the research findings, it is suggested towards the teachers to apply PMI in other subjects while coordinating with the special teachers. The research findings also provide a theoretical contribution to the social skills learning strategies with peer involvement on the children with learning disabilities in the inclusive elementary school.Key Words: peer mediated intervention, social skills, children with specific learning disabilities Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji efektivitas peer mediated intervention (PMI) untuk meningkatkan keterampilan sosial pada anak berkesulitan belajar di SDN 03 Alai Padang. Penelitian menggunakan single subject design dengan model multiple baseline across subject. Lima anak berkesulitan belajar ringan sebagai anak target dan lima peer mediator dipilih dan dilatih untuk menerapkan PMI dalam pelajaran bahasa Indonesia (membaca ulang). Data dikumpulkan dengan format pencatatan frekuensi keterampilan sosial, skala keterampilan sosial, dan self report. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan PMI efektif meningkatkan keterampilan sosial, yaitu pada anak target TS, KY, HL, RA, dan KA. Sebagai instructional effects, PMI juga efektif mengurangi frekuensi kesalahan membaca anak target pada fase baseline menurun selama intervensi. Disarankan guru menerapkan PMI dalam mata pelajaran lain dan berkoordinasi dengan guru pembimbing khusus. Temuan penelitian memberikan sumbangan teoritik tentang strategi pembelajaran keterampilan sosial yang melibatkan teman sebaya pada anak berkesulitan belajar di sekolah dasar inklusif.Kata kunci: peer mediated intervention, keterampilan sosial, anak berkesulitan belajar

Abstract

This article discusses the improvement of the ability of the person of visually impaired in detecting object distance through the use of U-Qoserlin tools. This research used R & D method and continued with experiment. The subject of development experts consists of electrical engineering experts, orientation and mobility experts, and educational experts. The subject of the experiment consisted of five (5) the person of the visually impaired. The results of the study show that (1) U-Qoserlin tools are practical, feasible, useful and provide technological insights for the person of visually impaired; (2) the results of the data with the Mann Whitney test obtained the results of the smallest Uhit value is 9, and Utab at a significant level of 95% and α = 0.05 for n = 6 that is 5. Thus, U-Qoserlin tool effective in improving the ability to detect solid object spacing for the person of visually impaired. The implications of this study are that there should be a test of the effectiveness of U-Qoserlin on the number of the person of visually impaired more

Abstract

This article examines the girls with deafness in schools who experience sexual harassment. The purpose of this study is to find a post-sexual harassment service model that is in accordance with the characteristics of girls with deafness and explain how schools pay attention to well-organized and theoretical programs using a preventive approach to mental health. Participants totaled 166 users consisting of 105 teachers, 38 students, 8 lecturers, 5 members of organizations for the deaf and other professions. The results showed that sexual harassment can occur physically and verbally towards the girls with deafness which can cause trauma. The girls with deafness are more at risk of being sexually abused than boys. They experienced very significant intimidation. The limited communication characteristics of girls with deafness cause trauma of sexual harassment, irrational beliefs that interfere with social functioning in the environment. There is a need for intervention in special mental health service programs such as REBT with Bisindo that are in accordance with the characteristics of students with deafness. The role of the teacher in preparing children to deal with face life in an increasingly complex society.

Abstract

Students who have learning disabilities are more often to get poor learning outcomes. One of several factors that affect the learning outcome is the teacher’s attitude. The research aims at finding the students’ opinions on teacher’s attitude towards the learning outcomes of students with learning disabilities in inclusive primary schools. This research applies quantitative approach. Data were collected using questionnaire and analyzed descriptively. The results showed that teachers accept the learning achievements of students with learning disabilities in cognitive aspect (77.93%), affective aspect (80.50%), and conative aspect (77.92%).

Abstract

This study aims to increase self regulated learning of students with special needs in the course of Educational Psychology through the application of Model Inquiry Learning Berbasis Web Enhanced Learning (ILBaWEL). The study used single subject design with multiple baseline cross subject. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and test. Subjects consisted of five students with special needs, which consists of one person with a hearing impairment and four persons with visual impairment who took a course of Educational Psychology at the State University of Padang. Five (5) students with special needs to apply the ILBaWEL Model in the course of Educational Psychology. The results of the research showed that (1) the ILBaWEL Model have the accuracy, appropriateness and usefulness to be applied in the course of Educational Psychology because it emphasizes student activities to seek and find, develop the ability to think systematically and logically and critically, facilitate learning interaction from anywhere and anytime, has a wider range, easy to use by faculty and students, and is a learning model prescriptive components consist of a set of systematic learning steps; (2) the application of ILBaWEL Model in the lecture consists of six stages, namely orientation, define problems, propose a hypothesis, collect data, test hypotheses, and conclusions; (3) the ILBaWEL Model was effective for increasing the self regulated learning of students with special needs in the course of Educational Psychology. There is an increased score of self regulated learning significantly from the baseline phase to the intervention phase.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the effectiveness of solution-focused counseling to improve student learning motivation. The research is conducted using Single Subject Research design. The research subjects were five eight-grade students who have very low learning motivation. The instruments for data collection are learning motivation scale, interview, and observation. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. The findings indicated that the counseling effectively improves student learning motivation. Based on the research findings, it is suggested that counselors apply SFC in counseling both in individuals and in groups.
