Abstract

The number of difficulties experienced by students in online learning during a pandemic such as lack of focus and motivation due to stress, students experience a decline and involvement in learning. Some students stated the lack of access to technology and the environment was not conducive to learning. Students who cannot overcome academic difficulties are familiar with academic resilience. This study aimed to review articles on student academic resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic in chemistry lessons. This research is systematic research using the PRISMA method. The systematic review used articles from the range 2020-2023 published in PubMed, Google Scholar, and Science Direct. A total of 4 articles on the resilience of students studying chemistry during the COVID-19 pandemic met the inclusion criteria. The results showed that journals discussing student resilience in studying chemistry during the COVID-19 pandemic were still limited. However, from this literature research, it turns out that academic resilience is considered capable of maintaining learning success in students during the COVID-19 pandemic

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the level of satisfaction with distance learning chemistry during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection through a survey using google form to 449 respondents. The results of the analysis show that the COVID-19 pandemic has an impact on the level of student satisfaction, namely 18% very satisfied, 78% satisfied and 4% dissatisfied with distance learning chemistry. Students participate actively in taking chemistry lessons online. The distance learning system is not limited to being used during the COVID-19 pandemic, but can also be applied in normal conditions as modified learning with face-to-face learning.

Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) play a crucial role in the national economy, yet they often face challenges in efficiently managing accounting processes. The mismatch between human resource capacity and the needs of modern accounting systems is a significant issue hindering SME performance. Therefore, the development of an easy-to-use accounting information system tailored to the needs of SMEs is essential. This study aims to design and implement a digital-based accounting information system that can improve financial management efficiency in SMEs. The methods used include needs analysis, system design using the Agile methodology, and trials in several SMEs within specific regions. The results indicate that the developed system enhances the accuracy of financial record-keeping and simplifies the reporting process. Thus, this system is expected to be an effective solution for increasing the competitiveness of SMEs in the digital era.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis model jalur dan model SEM tentang hubungan antara kegigihan akademik dan aspirasi kimia dengan melibatkan dimensi-dimensinya terhadap hasil belajar kognitif kimia pada siswa SMA. Penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode survei dilakukan pada sampel siswa SMA yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa skala kegigihan akademik, skala aspirasi kimia, dan soal tes kognitif. Data diolah menggunakan teknik pemodelan statistik SEM (Structural Equation Modelling) dengan program AMOS. Model analisis jalur terbaik menunjukkan bahwa kegigihan akademik berpengaruh langsung terhadap hasil belajar kognitif kimia serta aspirasi kimia berkorelasi dengan kegigihan akademik dan membentuk pengaruh tidak langsung terhadap hasil belajar kognitif kimia melalui kegigihan akademik. Model SEM terbaik menunjukkan bahwa kegigihan akademik berpengaruh langsung terhadap hasil belajar kognitif kimia dengan dimensi tangguh sebagai penyumbang efektif terbesar serta aspirasi kimia berkorelasi dengan kegigihan akademik dan membentuk hubungan dengan pengaruh tidak langsung terhadap hasil belajar kognitif kimia melalui kegigihan akademik dengan dimensi efikasi diri menjadi penyumbang efektif terbesar. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, kegigihan akademik dan aspirasi kimia berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar kognitif kimia yang didapat siswa. Oleh karena itu, pendidik berperan dalam meningkatkan kegigihan akademik dan aspirasi kimia siswa melalui penerapan metode dan strategi dengan bantuan media yang tepat dalam proses pembelajaran kimia agar siswa memperoleh hasil belajar kognitif kimia yang lebih baik.

Abstract

Telah dilaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PPM) kelompok dosen tahun anggaran 2022 dalam bentuk sosialisasi sistem manajemen sampah. Persoalan sampah tetap akan menjadi persoalan dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat terutama di masyarakat kota baik kota kecil, sedang, maupun kota besar. Aktivitas PPM ini menjelaskan penyelesaian masalah sampah melalui sebuah inovasi berbasis Hukum Termodinamika, sehingga diharapkan kelompok masyarakat mitra PPM tidak lagi menghasilkan sampah buang. Hal ini disebabkan sampah mereka diolah menjadi bahan yang bermanfaat bagi ekosistem. Tentu saja produk PPM ini berupa produk yang laku jual. Prinsip dasar PPM ini adalah menyadarkan setiap warga masyarakat agar melakukan pemilahan sampah menjadi sejumlah kelompok sampah karakteriktik yang kemudian setiap kelompok sampah tersebut diberi perlakuan tertentu. Perlakuan yang diberikan tentu saja sesuai karakteristik material sampahnya sehingga seluruh sampah akan dapat termanfaatkan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh temperatur kalsinasi terhadap fasa dan mikrostruktur ZnO, seta untuk mengetahui pengaruh temperature kalsinasi terhadap energi bandgap ZnO secara eksperimen dan teoritis. ZnO yang dianalisis diperoleh dari sintesis yang dilakukan dengan metode presipitasi sederhana menggunakan ZnSO4, selanjutnya diaduk dan dipanaskan selama 2 jam pada temperatur 50oC – 60oC. Sampel yang terbentuk dikeringkan dengan oven pada temparatur 60oC selama 8 jam, kemudian dikalsinasi pada variasi temperatur 100oC, 200oC, 300oC, 400oC dan 500oC masing-masing selama 1 jam. Hasil sintesis dikarakterisasi dengan spektrofotometri Uv-Vis DRS dan XRD. Selanjutnya dilakukan penentuan parameter kisi ZnO menggunakan aplikasi U_FIT yang digunakan untuk menggambar struktur dan perhitungan menggunakan CASTEP Material Studio 2020. Aplikasi CASTEP digunakan dalam perhitungan untuk menentukan energi celah pita dan Density of State (DOS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa temperatur kalsinasi mempengaruhi terhadap fasa dan mikrostruktur kristal yaitu pada suhu 100oC, 200oC, 300oC terdapat dua fasa campuran ZnO dan Zn(OH)2 sedangkan pada suhu 400oC dan 500oC hanya terdapat satu fasa yaitu ZnO. Adapun terhadap mikrostruktur kristal menunjukkan semakin tinggi temperatur nilai parameter kisinya rata-rata semakin tinggi juga. Energi celah pita yang diperoleh secara eksperimen sebesar 3,1272 eV – 3,2380 eV serya energi celah pita secara teoritis sebesar 3,20 eV – 3,32 eV. Kata kunci: ZnO, Mikrostruktur, Energi celah pita, DOS

Abstract

Maize is an important staple food in Indonesia that is threatened by the main pest Spodoptera frugiperda (Smith), including on Sumbawa Island which is one of the centres of dryland maize production in Indonesia. Currently, S. frugiperda control still relies on synthetic insecticides because the potential of natural enemies is not widely known, especially in dryland maize crops on Sumbawa Island. This study aims to assess the potential of S. frugiperda parasitoids including diversity, evenness, dominance, richness, and parasitization rate. Samples were collected by purposive random sampling in February–May 2024 in dryland maize crops at the age of 4–6 weeks after planting on both farm that applied insecticide and farm without insecticide. A total of 30 plants with common symptoms of damage due to S. frugiperda attack in three plots each measuring 10 m × 10 m were carefully examined to collect 30 egg clusters and 30 larval individuals. The results found egg parasitoids Telenomus remus Nixon and Trichogramma nr. pretiosum Riley, larval parasitoids Exorista sp., larval-pupal parasitoids Brachymeria lasus Walker and Archytas marmoratus Townsend. We concluded that the egg parasitization was dominated by T. remus (23.54-61.22%), which has potential as a biological agent for S. frugiperda. Larval parasitization was dominated by Exorista sp. (50%), but the high parasitization rate was overshadowed by hyperparasitoid which may reduce its effectiveness as a biological agent for S. frugiperda.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the project-based learning (PjBL) model compared to the cooperative learning (CL) model in improving the critical thinking skills and chemistry self-efficacy of class 10 students simultaneously and consecutively. This quasi-experimental study with a post-test-only control group design was conducted at Public Senior High School in Yogyakarta. The research sample consisted of 65 students from an experimental group of class 10 A 4, totaling 33 students, and a control group of class 10 A 1, totaling 32 students, obtained through cluster random sampling techniques. The instruments used were critical thinking ability tests and self-confidence questionnaires. Before being used, the instruments were tested for content and empirical validity, and normality tests and multivariate outlier tests were carried out, followed by unidimensional assumption tests, parameter invariance, and local independence. The experimental group was taught using the PjBL model, while the control group was taught using the CL model. Critical Thinking Skill Fest (CTST) and Chemistry Self-Efficacy Scale (CSES) were applied as post-tests only to students in both groups. One-way multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) and post hoc test between subjects (Tukey Test) showed that applying the PjBL model was significantly better than applying the CL model on students' critical thinking skills and chemistry self-efficacy simultaneously and individually. The effectiveness of the PjBL model on students' critical thinking skills and chemistry self-efficacy simultaneously and individually is in the moderate category compared to the CL model. This research provides actionable insights into the advantages of implementing PjBL to improve critical thinking and self-efficacy among students. This research can serve as a reference for future research exploring the effectiveness of PjBl learning models in other subjects or educational levels.
