Abstract

This study aims to determine the alignment of the Indonesian language textbook content for Grade X (Phase E), used by SMK Baiturrahim Jambi students, with the learning outcomes (LO) specified in the Content Standards by the Assessment and Curriculum Standards Agency, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, within the "Merdeka Curriculum" framework. The learning outcomes cover four language skill elements: listening, reading and viewing, speaking and presentation, and writing. This research employs a descriptive analysis method, using the Indonesian language textbook Pembelajaran Unggul Bahasa Indonesia SMK/MAK Kelas X, published by PT Bumi Aksara in 2022, as the data source. Data were extracted from each chapter, focusing on the representation of language skills in the learning content and activities, and analyzed using qualitative descriptive techniques. The findings indicate that the listening skills content is highly aligned with the Content Standards, while the speaking skills content is poorly aligned, with a score of 17%. The reading skills content is also highly aligned, and the writing skills content shows a high level of alignment with the learning outcomes of the Indonesian language in the "Merdeka Curriculum."

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of using audio-visual media on the ability of students to read poetry in class X SMA. Sampling in this study used a purpose sampling technique. This research design is pretest posttest control group only design. The research design uses a 2x2 factor. This research method is quasiexperimental or quasi-experimental. Sources of data in this study were the results of students' motivation and poetry reading ability tests. The results of this study prove that there is a significant effect of using audio visual media on students' poetry reading skills with the results of hypothesis testing the value of t count = 3.156 > t table = 1.710 so that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Hypothesis 2 test shows that the use of audio-visual media on highly motivated students has a significant effect, this is indicated by the value of tcount = 3.676 > ttable = 1.782. Hypothesis test 3 shows a significant effect of using audiovisual media on low-motivated students as indicated by the value of tcount = 2,572 > ttable 1,782. Hypothesis test 4 shows that there is a significant effect of learning motivation on the ability to read poetry with the value of t count = 2,399 > t table 1,710. This study proves that the use of audio-visual media has a better influence on students' poetry reading skills so that it can be used as an alternative learning that can be applied in the classroom.Keywords: Audio Visual Media, Learning Motivation, Poetry Reading Ability

Abstract

This research aims to describe the planning process, implementation, and outcomes of using audiovisual learning media in teaching descriptive text writing in class VII H at SMP Negeri 1 Kota Jambi. The study employs a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consist of an Indonesian language teacher and randomly selected VII H students. The teacher plans the use of audiovisual media by considering learning objectives, student characteristics, and material suitability. The research findings indicate that the application of audiovisual media has a positive impact, making it easier for students to understand the material, increasing active participation, and improving the quality of students' descriptive text writing. This research finding aligns with previous studies that also found that audiovisual media can enhance students' writing abilities. This media is effective in helping students understand the structure of descriptive texts and express their ideas more clearly and in greater detail. The availability of facilities in schools, such as projectors and audiovisual devices, also plays a crucial role in supporting the successful implementation of this media. Therefore, the use of audiovisual media is expected to continue to be developed in writing education at schools. Keywords: Audio Visual Media, Description Text.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan model project based learning (PjBL) melalui media gambar dalam menulis teks prosedur pada peserta didik fase D SMP kelas VII. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 5 Kota Jambi yang berlokasi di Jl. M. Yamin, Payo Lebar, Kec. Jelutung, Kota Jambi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif. Subjek penelitiannya, yaitu siswa kelas VII dan objek penelitiannya, yaitu menulis teks prosedur. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yaitu observasi, wawancara dan analisis dokumen. Aspek yang dinilai dalam menulis teks prosedur yaitu kesesuaian struktur dan kaidah kebahasaannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model project based learning (PjBL) melalui media gambar dalam menulis teks prosedur pada peserta didik fase D SMP kelas VII telah memperoleh hasil yang baik. Rincian nilai setelah menggunakan media gambar sebagai media pembelajaran yaitu 11 dari 32 memperoleh nilai baik sekali, 4 dari 32 memperoleh nilai baik dan 14 dari 32 memperoleh nilai cukup.

Abstract

The present study investigates effect of cooperative method on students’ achievements in reading comprehension in the context of English as a Foreign Language (EFL). An adaptation of the HAVO test was used to measure reading comprehension of 75 undergraduate students of the English Department at Jambi University. Participants were selected randomly assigned to three groups: two experimental groups and one control group. The experimental groups had been taught by means of the cooperative and an individual learning method in reading comprehension by means of workshops, whereas the control group had been taught by means of individual learning method with no workshops. A pre-test and post-test were administered, and the results were analyzed through a one-way ANOVA and post hoc Kruskal-Wallis Test followed by the Mann-Whitney Test. The results revealed that there was no significant effect in reading comprehension achievement in the cooperative group with workshops and in both of the individual groups. Abstract

This research is aimed at developing a cooperative learning design using Macromedia Flash for Senior High School Level. The design is developed by applying Borg & Gall’s model of Research and Development, which consists of some stages: 1)research information collecting, 2) planning, 3) develop preliminary product, 4) preliminary field testing, 5) main product revision, 6) main field testing, 7) operational product revision, 8) operational field testing, 9) final product revision, 10) dissemination and implementation. The result shows that the cooperative learning design mediated by Macromedia Flash is apparently effective to be implemented at the Information and Communcation Technology lesson. Abstract

This article is based on a developmental research. In the production step, the initial product was developed. This product was validated by an expert in subject matter and an expert in media. The next step was trying out the product to the students in three steps, namely, one-to-one try out, small group try-out, and field try-out. The subjects were students of SMP Negeri 3 Tanjung Jabung Timur in seventh grade. The subject in this research consisted of two students for one-to-one try-out, ten students for the small group try-out, and 31 students for the field try-out. The data collected in this research included the data from the subject matter expert, the evaluation data from the media specialist, and data from the students on the aspect of attraction. The data were collected using an interview sheet for the subject matter expert, the media expert, and questionnaire sheet for the one-to-one try-out, the small group try-out, and the field try-out. The data were analyzed using the descriptif analysis. The research results show that: 1) the development of audio-visual media Learning spint was in five phases, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation, the quality of instructional media developed viewed from the content aspect is good, the quality from the developed instructional media in term of the appearance aspects is good. the quality of the developed instructional media in regard to the attraction aspect is interesting. Abstract

Currently students really need a learning media that facilitates the learning process, one of the effective learning media used by students is video learning to increase student motivation and responsibility. This study aims to find out how the statistical results and differences as well the influence of students on student response variables, motivation, and responsibility in PJOK subjects in high school will be useful as a benchmark in improving student responses, motivation and student responsibility through learning videos and can be used as a reference in further research. The number of respondents as a sample is 140 students. this research method is a research and development model of R&D (Research and Development). The data collection technique used random sampling. The results of the study using a regression test that there is an influence between learning videos on student responses to student motivation and responsibility. so it can be said that the learning video is very influential on student responses to motivation and student answers on PJOK subjects at the secondary school level. The implication of this research is that student response is very important for motivation and responsibility so that it can be implemented in student learning outcomes. Thus, a good student response to student motivation and responsibility will improve student learning outcomes in high school.

Abstract

The use of learning media in the form of videos can be applied in physical education, sports and health lessons in teaching character of discipline. The aim of this research is to analyze student responses to PJOK learning videos, and how the influence of student responses to PJOK learning videos on the character of student disciplines and cooperation. This study uses the type of descriptive quantitative research. The subjects used in this study were students of class X and XI at senior high school. The population of this study was 70 students consisting of 35 students of class X and 35 students of class XI. Data collection method is using questionnaire of a Likert scale. Then the questionnaire data was processed using the SPSS application. Based on the results of the regression test, it can be concluded that there is an effect of student response to the PJOK learning video on the discipline and cooperation character of class X and XI students at senior high school. The implication of this research is that it can be input for teachers to see the character of students' discipline and cooperation by using learning videos on gymnastic materials.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks prosedur siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Muko-Muko Bathin VII dengan menggunakan media visual interaktif. Untuk mengatasi keterbatasan kreativitas dan minat siswa, peneliti menerapkan media visual berbasis slide PowerPoint yang dirancang dengan menggunakan aplikasi Canva, diproyeksikan melalui infocus untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih dinamis dan menarik. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media visual interaktif efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks prosedur siswa. Pada siklus pertama, persentase siswa yang mencapai kriteria ketercapaian tujuan pelajaran (KKTP) adalah 46,67%, sementara pada siklus kedua meningkat menjadi 100%. Rata-rata nilai siswa juga mengalami peningkatan signifikan dari 57,21 pada pratindakan menjadi 80,92 pada siklus II. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa penggunaan media visual yang menarik dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa dan mendorong partisipasi aktif dalam proses pembelajaran.
