Abstract

This study examines the effect of temperature and pressure at the cargo heater on the flow rate of LPG during the discharge and loading process on the LPG tanker ship. The main problem is the freezing of LPG (propane and butane) in cold climates which hinders the smooth flow and slows down the discharge and loading process. The research objective is to analyze the effectiveness of heating through cargo heater in reducing the viscosity of LPG and to identify the dominant factors that affect the flow speed. The method used is causal quantitative with multiple linear regression analysis, supported by direct observation data during the discharge and loading process and data processing through statistical software. The results showed that pressure partially had a significant effect on increasing flow rate, while temperature showed no significant effect partially. However, temperature and pressure variables were simultaneously shown to increase LPG flow rate. The conclusion of the study states that proper pressure regulation with adequate temperature support is the key to the efficiency of the discharge and loading process. The implication of the research is the optimization of cargo heater design based on pressure regulation to improve operational performance on gas tankers.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a more effective and data-based strategy for the management of ex-termination materials in the upstream oil and gas industry, integrating ABC, VED, and FMSD methods with Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The analysis was carried out by integrating the ABC-FMSD-VED matrix approach. The results showed that 21% of category A materials accounted for 80% of the total inventory value, while 85.95% of materials were included in the Deadstock category, which was not optimally utilized. The AHP analysis showed that the top priority was internal utilization, followed by borrowing, transfer, and deletion, with sensitivity tests indicating decision stability.

Abstract

Poverty and low productivity of agricultural businesses in buffer villages are two interrelated conditions, including the suboptimal increase in income in the buffer villages of the Kelimutu National Park Area. Various empowerment programs are expected to improve these conditions. This article aims to review the socio-economic aspects of farmers that influence the increase in farmer income in the buffer village. This study seeks to understand the essence of the entity so that it can underlie policies that improve conditions and indicators that will be used to measure conditions for good policy making. The study method uses literature studies for conceptual studies and journal reviews from Scopus, Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, Frontiers and Sinta-accredited journals, as well as secondary data. Defining the nature, characteristics and essence of scientific and socio-economic aspects of increasing income from the farmer's perspective is very necessary to reveal the essential aspects for increasing this income. The results of the study reveal that the economic empowerment of communities and agricultural income in buffer villages includes dimensions of access to land resources, capital and technology, increasing farmer capacity in the form of training and mentoring, developing farmer institutions in farmer group forums, implementing sustainable agricultural practices in the form of organic fertilisers, and land conservation and government policies.

Abstract

Unlike commercial banks, rural banks have their own uniqueness that they only provide basic banking services. It is important because, they serve more people with low financial literacy. This condition requires rural banks in a healthy condition to be able to serve the financial transaction needs of the community. This research attempts to see how efficiency relates to the potential for bankruptcy in rural banks. By using the Springate score to see the potential for bankruptcy and the DEA to calculate efficiency, this research concludes that the level of efficiency has no effect on the potential for bankruptcy in rural banks. While other variables in this research, namely total liabilities, total assets, operating costs and operating income have a significant effect on the potential for bankruptcy in rural banks.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the causes of the lack of effectiveness of Permit to Work on MT ships. Pangalengan, then this study also seeks to find out how efforts to make Permit to Work effective in reducing occupational accidents on MT ships. Pangalengan, and finally to find out the impact of the less effective Permit to Work. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research to describe a complex picture based on findings from direct reports, secondary sources, and statistical analysis, as well as information collected from interviews and other sources. The results of the study show that the common factors causing the ineffectiveness of permits to work on MT ships. Pangalengan is the lack of understanding of the crew related to the procedures and implementation of permits to work on board MT ships. Pangalengan. The effectiveness of permits to work can be increased by providing adequate knowledge and training to crews, as well as increasing their motivation. Failure to implement an effective permit to work system can lead to work accidents that have the potential to endanger worker safety.

Abstract

Abstract

Government spending on education and health is mandated and regulated by law. The increase in education and health spending makes it necessary to study the analysis of the determinants of the efficiency of education and health expenditures in the districts and cities of the province of West Nusa Tenggara during 2012–2021. The approach used is in two stages. The first efficiency score is obtained by deployment Data Analysis (DEA) analysis, and the second stage is using Tobit to analyze the determinants of efficiency in each expenditure. The results of the first stage show that the average technical efficiency score for education spending is inefficient, while the technical efficiency score for health spending is efficient. Furthermore, for the second stage, the results show that the government's ability to finance development expenditures, population density, income inequality of the population, the ratio of junior high school student teachers, and the ratio of high school student teachers affect the efficiency of spending on the education function. Furthermore, the determinants of the efficiency of health spending based on Tobit's results are population density, income inequality of the population, and the ratio of health workers affecting spending on health functions.
