Abstract

This study aims to find the main challenges and solutions in developing HOTS questions to improve student’s critical thinking skills in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning. HOTS questions in PAI learning can encourage students to think critically and apply Islamic teachings in real life contexts, and also overcome the limitations of memorization-based learning. The method of library research by collecting data from various scientific journals relevant to the research study. So the results of the study obtained that HOTS questions can make students transform from a memorization system to a critical thinking system and can even reach the stage of creating. However, in its implementation there are also several challenges, both from the competence of educators, time and resources, students’ difficulties in adapting, an assessment system that is less supportive, lack of HOTS question references, and lack of support from schools. So that teaching PAI through HOTS questions is not just an option, but a necessity in order to produce a geberation that thinks critically, creatively, and adheres to religious values.

Abstract

Ilmu sosial kontemporer banyak dibangun di atas epistemologi Barat yang berakar pada rasionalisme dan empirisme, sehingga cenderung memisahkan aspek moral dan spiritual dari proses pengetahuan. Namun, perspektif ini memperoleh kritik dari tradisi Islam yang memandang wahyu dan akal sebagai sumber ilmu yang saling melengkapi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkomparasi paradigma epistemologis, tujuan, dan aksiologi ilmu sosial dalam budaya Barat dan Islam, guna merumuskan model keilmuan yang relevan bagi masyarakat Muslim kontemporer. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kualitatif dengan pendekatan komparatif melalui studi dokumen terhadap buku dan artikel ilmiah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan epistemologi Barat menekankan netralitas nilai, rasionalitas instrumental, dan tujuan pragmatis-teknokratik, sementara itu epistemologi Islam memadukan wahyu, akal, empiris, dan intuisi, sehingga ilmu sosial diarahkan untuk transformasi sosial yang berkeadilan dan mendekatkan manusia pada nilai transendental. Aksiologi Islam menekankan integrasi etika dan spiritualitas dalam penerapan ilmu, menjadikannya alternatif penting di tengah krisis moral modern. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pendekatan normatif-transendental Islam menawarkan paradigma ilmu sosial yang lebih utuh, humanistik, dan relevan dalam menjawab tantangan kontemporer.

Abstract

Teacher retention is a key factor in maintaining the stability and quality of education, especially in the integrated Islamic school environment. Challenges in retaining experienced teachers often arise due to welfare dynamics, workload, and career development needs. This study aims to analyze the teacher retention strategy implemented at SMPIT Al Itqon Bogor as an effort to create sustainability in the quality of education. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method of data collection techniques through interviews with school principals, vice principals and human resource development coordinators as well as permanent teachers with a minimum service period of five years. The results of the study show that there are five main strategies in retaining teachers, namely sustainable development of professional competencies, providing financial and non-financial welfare, regular spiritual coaching, creating a conducive work environment, and strengthening managerial communication. The retention strategy implemented is holistic by integrating professional aspects, welfare, spirituality, and organizational culture based on Islamic values. The success of teacher retention at SMPIT AL ITQON Bogor is the result of the synergy of various dimensions that strengthen each other, as well as becoming a model of human resource management that is relevant for the development of other integrated Islamic educational institutions. The novelty of this research lies in the teacher retention model based on the integration of professional and spiritual values in the context of integrated Islamic schools, which has not been widely studied in previous research

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using Chromebooks with the Canva application to improve students' digital literacy and creativity in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) at the elementary school level. The integration of technology in IRE is an urgent need in the digital age that must be addressed. This study uses a mixed methods approach with an explanatory sequential strategy. The research subjects were fifth and sixth grade students. Data collection was conducted through tests, observations, interviews, and documentation, analyzed using Wilcoxon and N-Gain statistical tests, as well as qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed: 1) There was a significant increase in the variables of digital literacy and creativity in both classes (Asymp. Sig < 0.001); 2) The effectiveness of the improvement in Grade V was classified as High (N-Gain Literacy 0.81; Creativity 0.85) and was superior to Grade VI (Medium category), challenging the assumption of linearity in cognitive development; 3) The scaffolding strategy was proven to be successful in transforming technical anxiety into computer self-efficacy; 4) The use of technology also strengthened the ethical dimension through the practice of validating sources of arguments. This study concludes that Chromebook and Canva are effective adaptive learning media for accelerating students' digital competence and creative character in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) subjects. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis efektivitas penggunaan media Chromebook berbasis aplikasi Canva dalam meningkatkan literasi digital dan kreativitas siswa pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di tingkat sekolah dasar. Integrasi teknologi dalam PAI merupakan urgensi di era digital yang perlu diatasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kombinasi (mixed methods) dengan strategi explanatory sequential. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa Kelas V dan VI. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik Wilcoxon dan N-Gain, serta analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) Terdapat peningkatan signifikan pada variabel literasi digital dan kreativitas di kedua kelas (Asymp. Sig < 0,001); 2) Efektivitas peningkatan pada Kelas V tergolong kategori Tinggi (N-Gain Literasi 0,81; Kreativitas 0,85) dan lebih unggul dibandingkan Kelas VI (kategori Sedang), menantang asumsi linieritas perkembangan kognitif; 3) Strategi scaffolding terbukti berhasil mengubah kecemasan teknis menjadi computer self-efficacy; 4) Pemanfaatan teknologi juga memperkuat dimensi etika melalui praktik validasi sumber dalil. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Chromebook dan Canva adalah media pembelajaran adaptif yang efektif untuk mengakselerasi kompetensi digital dan karakter kreatif siswa pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI).

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has intensified learning loss in Indonesian education, not only in terms of academic achievement but also in students’ psychosocial development and character formation. While existing studies have predominantly conceptualized learning loss as a cognitive and instructional problem, limited attention has been given to its ethical, spiritual, and value-based dimensions within post-pandemic educational discourse. This article addresses this conceptual gap by examining how learning loss is discussed in the literature and how character education grounded in national and religious values may be theoretically integrated into this discussion. Employing a conceptual literature review, this study analyzes peer-reviewed journal articles, academic books, policy-related educational literature, and selected Qur’anic exegesis relevant to learning loss, character education, and humanistic learning in the Indonesian context. The analysis is conducted through a thematic and conceptual synthesis, focusing on patterns of thought, normative assumptions, and theoretical linkages across the literature. The findings reveal three interrelated conceptual themes: (1) the reconceptualization of learning loss as a multidimensional phenomenon encompassing academic, psychosocial, and moral dimensions; (2) the role of the Pancasila Student Profile as a normative framework for character education in post-pandemic Indonesia; and (3) the convergence between Qur’anic humanistic values and national character education in shaping holistic educational aims. Based on this synthesis, the article proposes an integrative conceptual framework that situates learning loss within a broader discourse of humanistic and value-based education. Rather than offering empirical solutions, this study contributes theoretically by refining the conceptual understanding of learning loss and highlighting directions for future research on character education and spiritually grounded pedagogical frameworks in post-pandemic contexts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara mendalam bagaimana penggunaan media sosial memengaruhi perubahan pola perilaku pada siswa di SMK Sasmita Jaya 01 Pamulang. Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi bentuk-bentuk perubahan perilaku, baik positif maupun negatif, yang terjadi akibat interaksi intensif siswa dengan berbagai platform media sosial. Hasil dari analisis ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman komprehensif mengenai dinamika perilaku siswa di era digital, yang sangat penting sebagai landasan bagi upaya pendidikan akhlak yang lebih relevan dan efektif di sekolah. Peneltian ini dilakukakan karena realitas media sosial telah menjadi bagian integral dari kehidupan remaja, menawarkan kemudahan akses informasi sekaligus tantangan dalam pembentukan karakter dan akhlak. Perubahan pola perilaku, mulai dari interaksi sosial, etika komunikasi, hingga fokus belajar, memerlukan perhatian serius dalam konteks Pendidikan Agama Islam. Dengan mengkaji perubahan perilaku melalui perspektif pendidikan akhlak, penelitian ini mengisi kekosongan literatur tentang bagaimana prinsip-prinsip moralitas Islam dapat diterapkan sebagai solusi atau filter terhadap dampak negatif media sosial, sekaligus mengoptimalkan potensi positifnya. Secara konseptual, penelitian ini mendasarkan diri pada Perspektif Pendidikan Akhlak Ibnu Miskawaih, dengan fokus pada bagaimana upaya tahdzib al-akhlaq dapat diaplikasikan untuk membentuk kesadaran etika dalam bermedia sosial. Penekanan diberikan pada peran akal dan kemauan dalam mengendalikan dampak negatif teknologi. Metode yang diterapkan adalah Kualitatif Deskriptif, yang berupaya mendeskripsikan secara utuh fenomena yang terjadi di SMK Sasmita Jaya 01 Pamulang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik triangulasi, mencakup wawancara terstruktur, observasi di kelas dan luar kelas, serta pengkajian dokumen terkait kurikulum. Seluruh data dianalisis secara induktif untuk menemukan pola-pola perubahan perilaku dan menyusun rekomendasi yang berbasis pada teori Ibnu Miskawaih.

Abstract

The epistemology of knowledge is a crucial foundation in the development of Islamic education because it determines the perspective on the source, validity, and purpose of knowledge. A persistent problem in contemporary Islamic education is the dichotomy between religious and general knowledge, which has resulted in fragmentation of knowledge and a weakening of the integration of Islamic values. This study aims to analyze the epistemology of knowledge in Islamic education through an examination of the concepts of dichotomy, integration, and interconnection of knowledge. This study uses a qualitative approach with library research methods, examining the works of classical and contemporary Muslim thinkers and scientific journal articles relevant to the philosophy of knowledge and Islamic education. Data analysis techniques include content analysis and conceptual-philosophical analysis to uncover the epistemological assumptions and educational implications of these concepts. The results of the study indicate that the dichotomy of knowledge is a historical construct influenced by the paradigm of Western secularism and is inconsistent with the Islamic worldview. The concept of integration of knowledge seeks to unite religious and general knowledge within the framework of monotheism, while the approach of interconnection of knowledge emphasizes dialogue and interdisciplinary connections in understanding the complexity of reality. This research confirms that the integrative-interconnective paradigm is a relevant epistemological approach to reconstruct Islamic education to make it more holistic, valuable, and responsive to the challenges of the times.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pendekatan inovatif melalui manajemen pengetahuan dalam Pembelajaran PAI di SMP Islam Raden Patah. Metode penelitian menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengambilan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik keabsahan data hasil penelitian dilakukan melalui triangulasi yang berakhir dengan kesimpulan dan sintesis baru mengenai manajemen pengetahuan di SMP Islam Raden Patah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SMP Islam Raden Patah melakukan inovasi dalam pembelajaran PAI melalui lima komponen yaitu: 1) personal knowledge melalui rekrutmen tenaga kependidikan, 2) job procedure melalui penugasan tenaga kependidikan, 3) teknologi melalui pemanfaatan situs dan fasilitas sekolah seperti moodle, wifi, sistem pembelajaran daring melalui zoom dan fasilitas email lembaga dalam distribusi pengetahuan. 4) peran kepemimpinan melalui supervisi, 5) lingkungan organisasi melalui sistem distribusi kerja sama yang baik antara guru dan siswa.

Abstract

Blended learning is a relevant learning model to answer the challenges of the 21st century, where technology and the internet play an important role. However, the implementation of blended learning in higher education still faces obstacles in adjusting modern educational values with spiritual values. This study aims to analyze blended learning from the perspective of the Qur'an, with a case study at University of Raharja, Tangerang City. The main challenges raised is how blended learning can be integrated with the values of the Qur'an to create holistic learning. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach of the Miles and Huberman model to systematically describe data from various references. In addition, the thematic interpretation method (tafsîr maudhû’î) is used to analyze relevant verses of the Qur'an. The results of the study indicate that blended learning is in accordance with the learning values in the Qur'an, as reflected in the stories of the prophets and verses about learning from the universe. This model has proven to be flexible, efficient, and effective, as supported by Curtis J. Bonk, Simon Krisztián, and Erica Lynn Kolat. This study also found that blended learning can be a relevant learning solution in the digital era if implemented by considering spiritual aspects. The conclusion of the study is that blended learning not only supports modern learning, but also has a strong foundation in the values of the Qur'an. This makes an important contribution to the development of higher education in Indonesia.
