Abstract

Abstract: As online gambling among Indonesian adolescents reaches crisis proportions, the lack of culturally sensitive screening tools hinders effective intervention. This study develops the Skrining Judi Online Remaja (SIJORA) by adapting the SOGS-RA through a rigorous qualitative validation framework. Beyond establishing content and response process validity via cognitive interviews and expert reviews, our research identifies a critical iatrogenic risk: traditional single-stage screening can trigger negative reactance among non-gambling youth. To mitigate this, we propose a novel Two-Stage Screening Protocol: a primary universal filter followed by a targeted clinical severity assessment. This dual-layered design maximizes diagnostic sensitivity while upholding the ethical principle of "do no harm" in school-based settings. Our findings establish SIJORA as a foundational, ethically-grounded instrument for mental health practitioners and provide a strategic roadmap for the consequential validity of behavioral addiction screenings in the Global South  Keywords: adolescents online gambling screening, qualitative approach, instrument development, content validation, response process validation

Abstract

Orientasi budaya dan kepribadian merupakan faktor individu yang dapat menjelaskan perilaku Organizational Citizenship Behavior di tempat kerja. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menjelaskan OCB berdasarkan peran faktor orientasi budaya kolektivisme-individualisme dan light triad personality. Penelitian ini melibatkan 210 partisipan berdasarkan teknik convenience sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik regresi linear berganda menggunakan software IBM SPSS Statistics versi 27. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa orientasi budaya kolektivisme dan individualisme berpengaruh signifikan terhadap OCB (R2 = 0,366; F (2, 207) = 59,641; p <0,01), terutama kolektivisme. Light triad personality juga ditemukan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap OCB (R2 = 0,368; F (3, 206) = 39,997; p-value <0,01), terutama dimensi humanism. Hasil analisis juga menunjukkan bahwa orientasi budaya kolektivisme-individualisme dan light triad personality secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap OCB (R2 = 0,446; F (3, 206) = 55,370; p-value <0,01). Secara teoritis, penelitian ini memperkuat peran faktor karakteristik individual terutama orientasi budaya dan kepribadian pada perilaku kerja. Secara praktis, penelitian ini merekomendasikan instansi/perusahaan untuk membangun iklim organisasi yang fleksibel agar karyawan dapat merasakan keterikatan dalam organisasi karyawan.

Abstract

Career commitment is an important psychological resource for career development, particularly in the context of freelance work, which is characterized by flexibility and a lack of formal career structures. As Generation Z's participation in the gig economy increases, empirical studies on the role of career commitment in freelancers' career success are still relatively limited, especially in Indonesia. This study aims to examine the influence of career commitment on career success and the role of career type as a moderating variable in Generation Z freelancers. This study used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey design. Participants were 158 Generation Z freelancers aged 17–28 years old, using a stratified random sampling technique based on domicile. Career commitment was measured using the Career Commitment Scale, while career success was measured through subjective and objective indicators modified from previous research. Data were analyzed using linear regression and moderated regression analysis. The results showed that career commitment had a significant effect on career success. However, career type was not shown to moderate the relationship between career commitment and career success. These findings suggest that career commitment plays a significant role in enhancing the career success of Generation Z freelancers, regardless of their career type orientation. The theoretical implication of this research is the importance of considering the contemporary work context in understanding career dynamics, where the boundaries between linear and non-linear careers are becoming increasingly blurred. Practically, these findings emphasize the urgency of developing programs that focus on strengthening career commitment as a foundation for success for Generation Z freelancers.
