Abstract

In the Batu City Government there is one office that is engaged in communication and informatics and provides public services, namely the Department of Communication and Informatics. Department of Communication and Informatics of Batu City requires an evaluation of information security. As an information provider, the Department of Communication and Informatics of Batu City requires an evaluation of the level of information security. In this study evaluation was conducted with a questionnaire instrument based on the Information Security Index (KAMI) to see the results of the completeness and maturity of information security in 5 areas, governance, risk management, frameworks, asset management, and technology. From the evaluation results, it is known that for completeness levels get a score of 203 and the average maturity level of each information security area is at Level I to level I +. This states that the Department of Communication and Informatics of Batu City was declared not feasible to carry out ISO 27001 certification. Recommendations were obtained from the results of comparisons between Index of Information Security and controls of ISO 27001. One recommendation that could be given to the Batu Communication and Information Office was to make a policy for information security base on objective control A.5.1 in ISO 27001.

Abstract

The population of Indonesia is mostly spread in areas that have not been reached by telecommunications infrastructure. Indonesia's geographical conditions are very diverse, causing infrastructure development to not be carried out optimally. BAKTI is an Indonesian government company that provides ICT services that can be enjoyed by all levels of Indonesian society. BAKTI, especially at the Infrastructure Directorate, created a BTS work program that took place in the Telecommunications Service Blankspot area. The construction of BTS is a real effort by the government to overcome telecommunication gaps felt by the community. This study aims to determine the results of the performance evaluation of the BTS work program using the LFA (Logical Framework Analysis) method, which is useful both in planning, monitoring and management evaluating the development of a work program. LFA consists of seven stages of analysis, that is stakeholder analysis, problem analysis, objective analysis, strategy analysis, log frame (project plan), activity planning, and resources. In the LFA stage, SWOT analysis is conducted to find out how the organization acts in overcoming the problem. The results of this study found that the BTS work program was quite maximal, because the evaluation results showed that there was conformity with the main objectives set by BAKTI. Recommendations are made at each stage of the LFA, so that the recommendations are more specific and can improve performance, and are made based on system information management theories.

Abstract

Advances in the development of e-government systems in Indonesia is the result of Instruction of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Number 3 in 2003. One of the agencies implementing e-government is the Government of Batu City. As one of the governments that will implement several electronic systems to support services, the Government of Batu City needs to evaluate the level of readiness in implementing e-government. This research uses model of ICT Readiness Assessment. The model focuses on ICT infrastructure factors, organizations, ICT availability and security and the legal environment. This research takes objects from seven Struktur Perangkat Daerah (SOPD) namely Badan Perencanaan Pembangunan, Penelitian dan Pengembangan Daerah (Bappelitbangda), Badan Keuangan Daerah (BKD), Bagian Administrasi Perekonomian dan Pembangunan (Ekbang), Bagian Pelayanan Pengadaan (ULP), Inspektorat, Badan Kepegawaian dan Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia (BKPSDM) dan Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika (Kominfo). The research methodology used is qualitative by collecting data using interviews, questionnaires, and observations. The results of the analysis shows that the readiness to implement e-government in the seven SOPDs, BKD, Dinas kominfo and BKPSDM are at level 3, while Bappelitbangda, Ekbang, Inspektorat, and ULP are at level 2. From the result of research then prepared to improve e-government implementation readiness.

Abstract

State University of Surabaya has already implemented e-learning system with moodle base which used centrally by all of faculty to help and solving a problem during lecturer. After the system on-line, there are factors has to be improved to make e-learning system is accepted by the user. Purpose of this study is to describe the level of acceptance from information system of UNESA e-learning system and also giving improvement recommendation according to Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) Method.. Data collection in this study was used by filling out the online questionnaire. This study uses a sample of 156 respondents and uses a stratified purposive sampling technique. The results of the evaluation of this study indicated that the perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, educational quality, service quality, information quality, satisfaction, and intention to use variable are in the high category, while the actual use variable is in the fairly high category. With the total average value of all variables of 70.85%, educational quality, service quality, intention to use, and actual use variable must get top priority to be improved because the average value of the variable percentage is still below the average value.

Abstract

Dinas Komunikasi Informatika Statistik dan Persandian (DISKOMINFO) Banten Province performs the functions and authority of the management of information and public communication one of them is the management of e-Government. E-Government is the use of technology that connects government institutions with other parties. DISKOMINFO contemplate an action to which investment management has been implemented to support the function and authority as well as recommendations to the investment management to be considered for future improvement. Evaluating investment management based on the Information Technology Investment Management (ITIM) framework using interviews, observations and documentation studies. From the calculation results, the maturity level of investment management at DISKOMINFO is in maturity stage 1 which is investment management that is applies had characterized ad hoc, unstructured and unpredictable . Some recommendations are given to each key process that be able to rise to the next stage of maturity some of them is the form of documentation planning starting from requirement, schedule planning and also the risks that can occur.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the service quality of the DISBUDPAR Banyuwangi site using the e-Govqual method which functions to measure the quality of e-government services consisting of the ease of users (human) as end users, using Human Organization Technology (HOT) -Fit adding Organization features in replacement service quality and two-way relationship (reciprocity) between the organization and net benefits (net benefits) obtained from the system, and the use of the Kano Model method used to obtain the level of user satisfaction (end users). This study collected data with a questionnaire as a research instrument. The research questionnaire consisted of 188 questions with a sample of 100 respondents. The results of the study concluded that the e-Govqual method was in the high category (80.57%), Human Organization Technology (HOT) -Suitable in the high category (81.57%) and the Kano Model was also included in the High category (80.95%). The results of this study will provide a discussion on each method and choose variables that have indicator values based on the average (average). The e-Govqual method needs to improve the indicator section on the Ease of Use, Trust and Content and Information Appearance variables. Human Organizational Technology Method (HOT) Suitable to improve the indicator part of the Human Factor and Technology variables and the Kano Model method needs to improve the indicator section on Function variables and Route Planning, Visual Design and Content and Member Information Management.

Abstract

Vocational high school prepare their students to enter job industry. Industrial work practice or prakerin and implementation of Teaching Factory (TEFA) learning concepts are carried out to bring that vision. Implementation of prakerin must be out ouf school, so it requires e-learning to make learning activities happen. Also, the TEFA learning concept uses block schedule, caused reshuffle of theories based subjects meeting number. This study used quasi experimental to implement blended learning model that could combine face to face meetings and learning activities beyond time and space. Used two e-learning platform, which are edmodo and google classroom, by comparing two variables, which are motivation and learning outcomes. This study revealed that there were significant differences in learning outcomes and motivation between two experimental classes by t-test results. Learning outcomes of blended learning implementation that used Edmodo was better, while Google Classroom was better considering learning motivation.

Abstract

Computer and Network Engineering (TKJ) in one of the skills programme at State Vocational High School 2 Malang. Successful learning process could be known by student's learning achievement. Learning achievement could be influenced by several factors, which are motivation, learning interenst, and family socio-economic condition in this research. So this study aims to determine the effect of motivation, learning interest and socio-economi condition towards learning achievement, by individually and simultaneously analysis. The subject of this study were grade X students of TKJ skills programme. The population were 106 students and sample used was 30 students with simple random sampling technique. Analysis used were descriptive analysis, classic assumption tests include normality test, linearity test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test and autocorrelation test. As well as hypothesis testing carried out by simple linear regression test and multiple regression. The results concluded that learning interest, learning motivation and socio-economic conditons have no effect toward learning achievement. As well as by simultaneously analysis between learning motivation, learning interest and socio-economic conditions don't effect learning achievement. Hence, Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected. It could be seen from the results of the significance values consecutively, which are: 0.91> 0.05; 0.67> 0.05; 0.12> 0.05 and 0.47> 0.05.

Abstract

This study aims to discuss user experience of Edmodo, Google Classroom, and compare user experience both of them. As well as providing suggestions for using Edmodo or Google Classroom. For this reason, researcher evaluated the user experience using Techniques for User eXperience Evaluation in e-Learning (TUXEL), in which there are three aspects inside, general usability, pedagogical usability, and user experience. The study was held in Vocational High School 5 Malang with 24 respondents. The results of this study on the general usability aspects, Edmodo found 9 problems and Google Classroom 12 problems. In the pedagogical usability aspects, Edmodo found 13 problems, and 15 problems in Google Classroom. On the aspect of user experience, Edmodo identified the following code: (1) supportive; (2) confusing; (3) complicated. As for the Google Classroom, that is the following code: (1) practical; (2) pleasing; (3) does not meet expectations; (4) confusing. The conclusion is, Edmodo is suitable for the learning process that uses full online learning, while Google Classroom is more suitable to be used as supporting / complementary learning.

Abstract

Edmodo and Moodle are systems which can be use in learning management. These two systems are popular in middle school and higher educational level. But, not all of the instructors know how to operate these systems caused by complicated design that have an impact in usability and learnabililty aspect. In order for usability reached properly, these two systems need to be evaluated with cognitive walkthrough and heuristic evaluation, six evaluators and comparative research. There are 15 problems in Moodle and seven problems in learning ability using the cognitive walkthrough method. For research with heuristic evaluation methods, there are 16 problems in Moodle with the highest frequency is H-8 (Aesthetic and minimalist design), as well as total severity rating is 2.50. As for the heuristic evaluation method in Edmodo, there were 15 problems with the highest frequencies are: (1) H-1 (System status visibility); (2) H-2 (Suitability between the system and the real world); (3) H-4 (Consistency and standards); (4) H-7 (Flexibility and efficiency of use); (5) H-8 (Aesthetic and minimalist design); and (6) H-10 (Help and documentation) as many as two for each principle, and the total average number of severity rating is 2.30. Edmodo is recommended because of it's user interface design that can be easily recognized by user. While, Moodle is recommended for an expert user that needs a LMS that has complex feature.
