Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of leadership and principal motivation on teacher performance at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Thawalib, Tanjung Limau Pariangan, West Sumatra. This study uses a quantitative correlational approach that is commonly used to evaluate and detect the extent of a factor's variation on one or more other factors based on the correlation coefficient. This study involved 30 teachers. The results showed that leadership and motivation simultaneously affected teacher performance at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Thawalib with a significance value (sig) of 0.003. The better the leadership and the higher the motivation given by the head of the madrasah, it will improve teachers' performance in the madrasah. This study has implications for the importance of the leadership style displayed by the principal in improving the performance of existing personnel in the organization to achieve the desired goals.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menyajikan hasil penelitian tentang kegiatan tahfidz Alqur’an yang diselenggarakan pada hari libur sekolah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dengan mencari dan menyusun data secara sistematis dengan cara mengorganisasikan atau mereduksi data, menjabarkan dan mensintesa atau display data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di di sebuah Rumah Tahfidz yaitu Rumah Tahfidz Alqur’an Fisabilillah Batusangkar. Hasil peneltian ini menunjukkan beberapa proram kegiatan dipersiapkan bagi peserta yang mengikuti karantina tahfidz. Karantina tahfidz dilaksanakan dengan mengisi waktu liburan sekolah dengan menghafal Al-qur’an. Kegiatan penelitian dimulai tanggal 19 Juni 2022 dan ditutup pada tanggal 27 Juni 2022. Dengan mengikuti rangkaian kegiatan program ini para santri dapat meningkatkan hafalannya selama satu minggu. Kegiatan karantina tahfidz diikuti oleh santri yang berusia Sekolah Dasar (SD), SMP/MTs, SMA/MA dan mahasiswa.

Abstract

This research is driven by the recognition that adultery represents a criminal offence that challenges the values of decency and social order, and has the potential to have adverse implications for individuals, families, and society at large. The objective of this research is to examine the provisions pertaining to complaints filed by victims of adultery, with a particular focus on the comparison between Indonesian national criminal law and Islamic law (fikih jinayat). The research employs a qualitative approach with a normative focus, utilising an inductive analysis of data gathered from legal literature. The findings indicate that Islamic law offers greater latitude in filing complaints of adultery, extending to both victims of adultery crimes and those who have suffered harm. Additionally, it imposes more severe penalties. In contrast, national criminal law prioritizes the protection of victims' rights, while also providing for the mitigation of punishment for the family of the perpetrator of adultery crimes. The findings of this research demonstrate the necessity for a comprehensive understanding of the distinctions between these two legal systems to develop a national criminal law that aligns with Islamic law in the enforcement of adultery laws.

Abstract

The Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata or KKN) of STIBA Makassar for the VII Batch in Lekopancing Village, Maros Regency, was organized as a manifestation of community service, which is a fundamental pillar of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. The implementation of this service program began with problem mapping and community needs assessment using SOAR Analysis. After conducting the analysis, work programs were developed according to the community’s needs. Based on the analysis results, several program were formulated, including Al-Qur’an Teaching (TK/TPA), DIROSA, School Teaching Program, Taḥfīẓ Weekend, Muslimah Study Sessions, Ifṭār Distribution, 20-Day Memorization Course, Funeral Management Training, Pious Children Festival, Sakinah Study Sessions, Veil-Wearing Movement, and Sunnah Cupping Therapy. All these programs were successfully implemented and have shown initial results aligned with the objectives of the KKN.

Abstract

Writing high-quality academic articles is a challenge for many academics at developing higher education institutions, including at Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Islam dan Bahasa Arab (STIBA) Makassar. These challenges include a lack of understanding regarding proper writing formats, appropriate research methodologies, publication ethics standards, and language barriers, particularly in writing scholarly work in English. This Community Service Program (PkM), in the form of the Scientific Journal Halakah Program (HAJI), aims to enhance the understanding and skills of lecturers in writing scientific journal articles through intensive guidance and systematic mentoring, especially for novice lecturers, in the process of producing high-quality academic articles. The methods used in this program include face-to-face lectures, discussions, and hands-on practice through several group/halakah sessions. This program successfully enhanced the understanding and skills of lecturers, particularly novice lecturers, in academic journal writing through intensive guidance and systematic mentoring. Evaluation results indicate that the program was both relevant and effective, as participants demonstrated improved comprehension of journal manuscript structure, research methodologies, the review process, and the use of reference management tools. Additionally, the program boosted participants' confidence in scientific publication and provided new insights into publication ethics. The program’s success has positively impacted the quality of lecturers’ articles, enhanced the institution’s reputation, and fostered a writing culture that supports research quality and innovation at STIBA Makassar.

Abstract

Abstract This study explores the utilization of kepok banana peel waste as a flour substitute in the production of Banana Strudel, a signature souvenir from Malang City. Kepok banana peels, typically discarded as waste, were processed into flour to enhance their utility and extend their shelf life. The study employed a descriptive experimental approach with four formulations of banana peel flour (15 g, 20 g, 25 g, and 30 g). A hedonic test was conducted to evaluate the taste, color, and texture of the puff pastry resulting from the substitution. The results showed that the 25 g formulation of banana peel flour achieved the highest scores for taste (3.70), color (3.56), and texture (3.43) on the consumer preference scale. However, the impact of flour gram formulation on texture was not significant. This substitution imparted unique taste and color attributes that could enhance the product’s appeal. The study contributes to the development of innovative products based on local wisdom and environmental sustainability. Further recommendations include market analysis and scaling up production for commercialization

Abstract

This community service project responded to the psychological and spiritual challenges faced by female dormitory students at UINSI Samarinda, who often experience inner conflicts while living on campus. The initiative employed the Islamic concept of Tazkiyatun Nafs, integrating muhasabah therapy and narrative therapy within a large-group guidance format. The program aimed to help participants identify, accept, and manage inner emotional pressures through self-reflection and expressive writing. It was conducted in two sessions with 62 participants. Evaluation tools included pre-tests, post-tests, observation sheets, and immediate assessments. Results demonstrated increased self-awareness, emotional openness, and active engagement. Participants also showed a transformation in interpreting personal experiences and committed to enhancing social relationships. These findings indicate that large-group guidance based on Tazkiyatun Nafs, incorporating muhasabah and narrative therapy, is instrumental in enhancing both psychological and spiritual resilience. This model can serve as an Islamic values–based intervention to support student mental health in dormitory settings.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh komunikasi digital dan prokrastinasi akademik terhadap kesejahteraan psikologis siswa SMAN 78. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode survei, serta analisis regresi linear berganda untuk melihat hubungan antara variabel independen dan dependen. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 214 siswa, yang dipilih dengan teknik simple random sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner dengan 24 butir pertanyaan, yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya (Cronbach’s Alpha = 0,732). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, komunikasi digital berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kesejahteraan psikologis siswa (B = 0,206, p = 0,007), sedangkan prokrastinasi akademik berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap kesejahteraan psikologis (B = -0,171, p = 0,001). Uji determinasi menunjukkan bahwa R² = 0,084, yang berarti hanya 8,4% variabilitas kesejahteraan psikologis siswa dapat dijelaskan oleh komunikasi digital dan prokrastinasi akademik, sementara 91,6% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Uji F (p < 0,001) menunjukkan bahwa model regresi signifikan secara keseluruhan, meskipun daya prediksi model masih lemah. Kesimpulannya, komunikasi digital yang efektif dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan psikologis siswa, sedangkan prokrastinasi akademik yang tinggi dapat menurunkannya. Oleh karena itu, sekolah dan guru perlu mengoptimalkan penggunaan teknologi dalam pembelajaran serta memberikan bimbingan kepada siswa dalam mengelola waktu dan tugas akademik secara lebih baik. Selain itu, penelitian selanjutnya dapat menambahkan variabel lain, seperti dukungan sosial dan stres akademik, untuk memahami faktor yang lebih luas dalam menentukan kesejahteraan psikologis siswa.
