Abstract

ABSTRAK Diabetes merupakan penyakit tidak menular yang sangat berbahaya, peyakit ini merupaj ibu dari seluruh penyakit. Kasus diabetes menduduki kunjungan tertinggi di Poli Rawat Jalan RS Islam Surabaya terutama di poli penyakit dalam. Perlu diadakan edukasi terkait pentingnya menjaga kadar gula darah dan tekanan darah kapada seluru penderita diabetes. Pengabdian masyarakat ini memiliki dua kegiatan adalah edukasi melalui siaran radio yang diadakan di radio suara muslim Surabaya 93,8 dan edukasi secara one on one kepada setiap pasien yang berobat di RS Islam Surabaya. Dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa Siaran radio yang dilaksanakan sangat memeberikan manfaat kepada seluruh pendengar terkait pentingnya memeriksa kadar gula darah acak dan mengukur tekanan darah pada penderita diabetes setiap bulan, sehingga bias terkontrol dan terpantau secara rutin dan Pemantauan tekanan darah dan kadar gula sangat memberikan kepuasan kepada pasien yang berobat di Poli Penyakit Dalam RS Islam Surabaya dan edukasi yang diberikan oleh dokter maupun perawat sangat memberikan manfaat. Kata Kunci : Gula Darah Acak, Tekanan Darah, Pemeriksaan,Poli Penyakit Dalam

Abstract

Currently, there are many foods which contain cariogenic material among others are sugars and other sweet foods. These cariogenic foods will decrease the pH of saliva. The pH of saliva is one of the important factors that can affect the process of demineralization on the surfaces of the teeth. Streptococcus mutans is microorganism can be the main cause of caries. Probiotic bacteria can prevent and decrease the incident of dental caries or tooth decay and work directly on the Streptococcus mutans as cariogenic bacteria. Yogurt is a food produced by probiotic bacterial fermentation of milk. Yogurt has a high buffer capacity, it does not cause erosive, and it has a low cariogenic potential. Based on the background of the study, the writer is interested to conduct a study about the salivary pH before and after gargling with yogurt and kefir. Method: The research design was pre-experimental using pre and post-test group design. The samples consist of 27 people. Results: The data results of yogurt group was analyzed using parametric Paired T-Test with a significant value of 0,000, which means that there was significant difference between the groups before and after gargling with yogurt. Conclusion: There is a difference of the pH of saliva before and after gargling with yogurt.

Abstract

Patient care in the isolation room differs from other rooms, including strict hygiene, proper personal protective equipment, and minimal patient contact. Furthermore, this study aims to portray patient satisfaction with healthcare services among inpatients in the COVID-19 isolation room. It was a descriptive study using a retrospective descriptive methodology. The population was inpatients in the COVID-19 isolation room at Surabaya Islamic hospital for January-May 2021. In addition, the sample was 128 respondents with a total sampling method. The authors used a questionnaire portraying patient satisfaction with health care services based on reliability, assurance, tangible, empathy, and responsiveness dimensions. The data was processed descriptively in a frequency distribution table. The results showed that respondents were satisfied with the reliability dimension (the ability of doctors and nurses to explain, listen, and speed up handling complaints). In addition, they were satisfied with tangible (room facilities, cleanliness of rooms, cleanliness of beds and bathrooms); empathy (attention of doctors, the ability of nurses to motivate and communicate well); assurance (friendly and polite healthcare services, safe healthcare services, and good healthcare service), and responsiveness (fast and accurate healthcare treatments, diagnostics, and easy healthcare procedures). Thus, inpatients in the COVID-19 Isolation Room at Surabaya Islamic hospital for January-May 2021 were satisfied with healthcare services based on reliability, assurance, tangible, empathy, and responsiveness dimensions. However, the empathy dimension had the lowest score among the five dimensions. So, emotional intelligence training is essential to improve health workers' empathy for patients.

Abstract

Lean management is one of the sufficient methods often used by an organization, company or agency certain. this method is claimed capable to make a company capable increase the quality of the product more efficient. The problems faced by the Surabaya Islamic Hospital are: Currently, the difference cost operational with income at RSI Surabaya A. Yani is only 15%-17%, while policy directors want a difference the can to 30%, The goal of devotion Public this give Lean management training at the Pharmacy Unit of the Surabaya Islamic Hospital expected training this could give benefit related to governance effective and efficient pharmacy so that could increase quality service and profitability. Training this use method lecture, discussion as well as simulation involving 18 workers from the pharmacy unit consisting of 5 Pharmacists and 13 pharmacists. Abstract

Nyeri merupakan pengalaman sensorik dan emosional yang tidak menyenangkan akibat kerusakan jaringan. Daun Trembesi (Samanea saman (Jacq.) Merr.) dapat menjadi salah satu tanaman alternatif herbal sebagai analgesik. Senyawa metabolit sekunder flavonoid dan steroid pada ekstrak daun Trembesi (Samanea saman (Jacq.) Merr.) dapat berfungsi sebagai analgesik dengan cara menghambat mediator-mediator inflamasi dengan cara menghambat pelepasan asam arakidonat, sehingga kerja enzim siklooksigenase terblokir. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui efek analgesik ekstrak daun Trembesi (Samanea saman (Jacq.) Merr.) terhadap mencit putih (Mus Musculus). Penelitian eksperimental laboratoris ini menggunakan teknik simple random sampling dengan sampel terdiri dari 30 ekor mencit yang dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok. Pemberian larutan secara per oral, kemudian diinduksi nyeri dengan asam asetat 1% secara intraperitonial. Jumlah geliat mencit diamati setiap 5 menit selama 30 menit, lalu dihitung presentase daya analgesik dan efektivitas analgesiknya. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan ekstrak daun Trembesi (Samanea saman (Jacq.) Merr.) dosis 100mg/kgBB dapat memberikan efek analgesik yang lebih besar yaitu 9,2% dibandingkan dengan ekstrak daun Trembesi (Samanea saman (Jacq.) Merr.) dosis 25 mg/kgBB dan 50 mg/kgBB yang hanya memberikan efek analgesik sebesar 34,7% dan 23,1%. Disimpulkan bahwa terdapat efek analgesik ekstrak daun Trembesi (Samanea saman (Jacq.) Merr.) pada mencit putih (Mus Musculus).

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Salah satu kelainan rongga mulut yang sering terjadi adalah Stomatitis Aftosa Rekuren (SAR). SAR adalah kelainan yang ditandai dengan ulser berulang pada mukosa rongga mulut tanpa tanda-tanda penyakit lain. Gambaran klinis dari SAR yaitu bulat atau oval berbatas jelas kemerahan dengan dasar berwarna kekuningan sampai abu-abu.  Etilogi SAR adalah multifaktorial dikaitkan dengan trauma, stres, ketidakseimbangan hormon, genetik, kelainan imun, beberapa penyakit sistemik serta defisiensi mineral, namun etiologi sebenarnya masih belum pasti. Stres adalah respon terhadap stimulus dan stressor. Dental education dapat menyebabkan stres yang cukup besar pada mahasiswa kedokteran gigi. Tingginya tingkat stres yang dirasakan mahasiswa profesi dokter gigi sering dikaitkan dengan kelelahan emosi dan tekanan psikologis sehingga dapat menyebabkan SAR. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh stres terhadap kejadian stomatitis aftosa rekuren pada mahasiswa profesi dokter gigi IIK Bhakta. Metode: Analitik observasional  dengan pendekatan cross sectional, untuk menguji hipotesis dilakukan uji chi square. Hasil: Berdasarkan uji chi square didapatkan nilai p=0,000 nilai tersebut lebih kecil dari 0,05 maka hal tersebut menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan. Kesimpulan: Stres berpengaruh terhadap kejadian stomatitis aftosa rekuren pada mahasiswa profesi dokter gigi IIK Bhakta.

Abstract

Background: Stunting is associated with various short-term effects such as developmental delays, decreased immune function, impaired cognitive function, and compromised metabolic systems. Furthermore, long-term consequences may include obesity, reduced glucose tolerance, coronary heart disease, hypertension, and osteoporosis. The limited understanding among healthcare cadres regarding comprehensive treatment necessitates interventions to aid in the assistance and recovery of infants identified as stunted. Objective: This activity aims to enhance the knowledge level concerning stunting among healthcare cadres. Method: The initiative will take the form of lectures, discussions, and case studies targeting 68 women from RW 07 cadres in Wonokromo Village. The stunting counseling event for RW 07 Health Cadre, Wonokromo Village, held on July 9 2023, was met with enthusiasm. Results: The presentation emphasized the significance of preventing stunting and highlighted the "1000 First Day of Life" initiative. The outreach activity effectively enhanced knowledge regarding stunting incidence, with 68 participants actively engaged, primarily comprising women aged 36 to 45 years, predominantly housewives. Conclusion: Analysis of pre-test and post-test results revealed a notable increase of 19.2%. Furthermore, the paired t-test demonstrated a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test (α = 5%).

Abstract

Since the construction of building F, Dr. University. Soetomo Surabaya has not experienced any changes either in terms of form or other points of view. Based on observations of the current condition of the building, there is still not enough attention and the age of the building already requires care, maintenance and repair of damage. Building quality greatly influences building user satisfaction because good building quality can make users feel comfortable in the building. The aim of this research is to analyze damaged items, analyze the level of user satisfaction and analyze poor building conditions. The method used in this research is a quantitative method where data collection was carried out by distributing a questionnaire survey via Google Form to 135 respondents consisting of lecturers at the Faculty of Engineering and students using building F, Dr. University. Soetomo Surabaya, apart from distributing questionnaires, this research was carried out by direct observation. This research uses the customer satisfaction index method which aims to determine the level of satisfaction of building users and uses the help of Smart-PLS software to help process data generated from questionnaires by testing its validity and reliability. The results of this research showed several damages, including damage to columns, beams, floor plates, walls, finishing, glass and door frames, floors and ceilings. The damage in this study refers to the classification of building damage according to (PUPR, 2021) where overall damage to walls is categorized as very light damage, damage to columns is categorized as moderate damage, damage to beams is categorized as heavy damage, damage to floor slabs is categorized as heavy damage. , damage to the floor is categorized as light damage, damage to the ceiling is categorized as moderate damage, and for finishing it is categorized as heavy damage due to complete finishing damage. The research results on the level of user satisfaction with building conditions using the customer satisfaction index (CSI) method were 55.41%, which means building users are quite satisfied with the current condition of the building. Apart from that, the results of the condition of the building, according to the respondent's point of view, which were not good were damage to the color of the wall paint, condition of the ceiling, door and window accessories, doors and windows, door and window frames, walls. Abstract

Pertambangan batu pasir di Daerah Gunung Maddah Kabupaten Sampang, merupakan industri informal dengan risiko yang besar untuk mengalami penimbunan debu pada saluran pernapasan dan menyebabkan penyakit Infeksi Saluran Pernapasan Akut (ISPA). Disamping perusahaan tidak menyediakan APD masker, permasalahan tersebut disebabkan kurangnya pengetahuan dan sikap pekerja terkait penggunaan APD masker di pertambangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan pengetahuan dan sikap dengan kepatuhan penggunaan APD masker pada pekerja tambang batu pasir PT. Sirtu Emas Kabupaten Sampang. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan desain survei analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel yang digunakan sebesar 56 pekerja tambang dengan tekhnik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan p value = 0,004 untuk hubungan pengetahuan dengan kepatuhan penggunaan APD Masker dan p value = 0,034 untuk hubungan sikap dengan kepatuhan penggunaan APD Masker. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh yaitu terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan dan sikap dengan kepatuhan penggunaan APD masker. Semakin baik pengetahuan dan sikap yang dimiliki pekerja, maka pekerja semakin patuh dalam penggunaan APD Masker. Saran yang dapat diberikan adalah perlunya pengawasan penggunaan APD di lingkungan kerja dan pemberian informasi secara masif pada para pekerja.

Abstract

Peningkatan insiden keselamatan pasien di rumah sakit sering terjadi. Kerja tim antar individu dalam unit kerja dan koordinasi antar unit pelayanan merupakan salah satu upaya untuk mengurangi lejadian yang terkait dengan masalah keselamatan pasien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peranan kerja tim antar individu dalam unit kerja dan koordinasi antar unit pelayanan terhadap terjadinya insiden keselamatan pasien (IKP) di rumah sakit. Penelitian ini dilakukan di RS Islam Surabaya pada tahun 2020, dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Unit analisis ditentukan secara total sampling meliputi 18-unit kerja yang memberikan pelayanan kepada pasien dengan responden adalah pimpinan unit atau ruangan, penanggung jawab shift kerja dan penanggung jawab mutu keselamatan pasien. Pengumpulan data responden terkait kerja tim dan koordinasi dalam penanganan keselamatan pasien. Pengumpulan data dilakukan secara online dengan menggunakan google form, dan dianalisis menggunakan tabulasi silang serta pendekatan Pareto (memiliki keterkaitan jika ditemukan perbedaan >20% antara variabel bebas dan variabel terikat). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan mayoritas kerja tim sudah baik (83,3%), pelaksanaan koordinasi mayoritas masih kurang baik (83,3%) dan insiden keselamatan pasien masih tergolong tinggi (33,3%). Insiden didominasi oleh Nyaris Cedera dengan peringkat hijau, dan unit rawat jalan memiliki insiden tertinggi. Kerja tim dan koordinasi berperan penting terhadap insiden keselamatan pasien dengan selisih persentase masing-masing sebesar 40,0% (> 20,0%) dari setiap kategori pada kerja tim maupun koordinasi. Penelitian ini menunjukkan kerja tim dan koordinasi berperan penting terhadap terjadinya IKP di rumah sakit. Oleh sebab itu, perlu saling support antar individu dalam tim di setiap unit kerja serta rutin melakukan pertemuan secara bersama membahas patient safety.
