Abstract

The quality of out-of-school education can be improved not only by providing enough facilities and budget or improving the curriculum but also and the most important is by developing the quality of the human resources such as facilitators, instructors, partners, or tutors. This article discusses how competence certification can be used as a means of improving the quality of educators in outofschool education. The competence certification is to be based on the basic competence, competence standards, and competence indicators which are offered in this article.

Abstract

This research aimed at discovering a training model to improve the competence of Package C tutors. To meet the objective, the research developed a performance - based training model focusing on the tutor`s competence in conducting the instruction. The training model was developed based on the fact and consideration that the on going training process was regarded too conventional emphasizing cognitive aspects. The performance - based training model was developed applying research and development model. The result showed that this model is effective to improve the pedagogic and andragogic competence of Package C tutors in comunity learning activities center.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the data of the educational qualification, tutor’s competence, and the administrators in equalizing education. This study is based on the fact tutors and the executing staff play a very important role in improving the instructional services. The study employed survey method with descriptive technique and questionaire. The study took place in PKBM in Jakarta on April to September 2011, with the research subjects include tutors and administrators. The findings indicate that the tutor’s qualification has met the requirement but there is a mismatch between the educational specialization and the courses to teach, the tutor’s competence is regarded low (at the average of 37,3) in pedagogy and andragogy and the administrators consist of head, secretary, and administrative staff as well as the educational staff.

Abstract

Based on the analysis of the situation and conditions of the community in Sukamakmur Sub-District, Bogor District of West Java, especially in the field of education, it is necessary to have an Android-based learning media development training activity to support the improvement of Tutor and Manager Competencies so that the learning process in Community Learning Center is of higher quality. The specific objectives of community service activities integrated with real work lectures are as follows: (1) Improving the ability of tutors and managers in planning learning using Android-based learning media, (2) Improving the ability of tutors and managers in using Android-based learning media and (3) Guide tutors and managers in implementing learning using Android-based learning media. The results show learning in Community Learning Center by using Andoid-based learning media as an effort to strengthen students' understanding of the material presented, and students can access it wherever they are to overcome the problems of students whose homes are far from Community Learning Center. Teaching using Android-based media is also able to emphasize the practice of digital literacy directly which still refers to the concept of learning media theory for equality education. Learning using Android-based media can be used wherever students are located, and therefore the independence of students will increase because without the presence of educators, students are able to operate it. The presentation provided is able to attract students 'interest, because it contains a material that is presented via video, so that students do not feel bored and fed up, because the media can stimulate students' ability to see and hear. Abstrak Berdasarkan hasil analisis siatuasi dan kondisi masyarakat di Kecamatan Sukamakmur Kecamatan Kabupaten Bogor Jawa Barat khususnya dalam bidang pendidikan, maka diperlukan adanya kegiatan pelatihan pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis Android untuk mendukung peningkatan Kompetensi Tutor dan Pengelola agar proses pembelajaran di PKBM lebih berkualitas. Adapun tujuan secara khusus kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang terintegrasi kuliah kerja nyata adalah sebagai berikut: (1) Meningkatan kemampuan tutor dan pengelola dalam merencanakan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis Android, (2) Meningkatkan kemampuan tutor dan pengelola dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis Android dan (3) Memandu tutor dan pengelola dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis Android. Hasil menunjukkan pembelajaran di PKBM dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis Andoid sebagai upaya menguatkan pemahaman peserta didik terhadap materi yang disajikan, dan peserta didikpun dapat mengaksesnya dimanapun ia berada untuk mengatasi persoalan peserta didik yang tempat tinggalnya jauh dari PKBM. Pengajaran menggunakan media berbasis android ini juga mampu menekankan pada praktik literasi digital secara langsung yang tetap mengacu pada konsep teori media pembelajaran untuk pendidikan kesetaraan. Pembelajaran menggunakan media berbasis Android mampu digunakan dimana saja peserta didik itu berada, maka dari itu kemandirian peserta didik akan meningkat karena tanpa kehadiran pendidikpun, peserta didik mampu mengoperasikannya. Penyajian yang disediakanpun mampu menarik minat peserta didik, karena berisi sebuah materi yang disajikan melalui video, sehingga peserta didik tidak merasa bosan dan jenuh, karena media tersebut dapat merangsang kemampuan melihat dan mendengar peserta didik.

Abstract

Family Income Improvement Efforts of family welfare (UP2K-PKK) program aims to reduce woman poverty by developing family business activities through MSMEs. UP2K-PKK cadres feel they do not have the knowledge and skills to increase community entrepreneurship. This research aims to find the knowledge and skills of fostering community entrepreneurship as the basis for planning the training program to improve knowledge and skills for UP2K-PKK Cadres. The method used in this study is mixed methods research. Determination of training needs had done with Training Needs Analysis. The study respondents were all UP2K-PKK Cadres companion MSMEs in Cipayung East Jakarta.The results concluded that UP2K-PKK Cadres need knowledge related to soft skills, namely techniques to motivate people to join the UP2K program, knowledge related to hard skills, namely; 1) managing finances, 2) Marketing techniques, and 3) techniques for identifying the learning needs of UP2K partners. Amid busyness as a housewife, UP2K-PKK Cadres has the willingness to improve their capacity building. Cadres should have the ability to direct the MSMEs to adapt and increasingly modern marketing ways so as not to be left behind and lose the opportunity to get the market.

Abstract

Lifelong learning (life long education) has a large role in improving the quality of the human development index. The quality of education in rural communities is far behind and powerless, especially women. Development of the quality of women's education in rural areas needs to be done comprehensively by combining formal, non-formal and informal education. The learning approach used combines andragodi and heutagogi so that lifelong education can be successful. To accelerate the goal of educational development for rural women can be done by forming learning communities through Community Learning Centers (PKBM).Learning for rural women in PKBM needs to be integrated using information and communication technology (ICT) because the community lives in far-off places while learning needs to be done in stages and continuously (life long learning). The use of ICTs in learning for rural women will facilitate the process and interaction in learning. Providing skills and economic empowerment become the main material in learning for rural women. Through education and ICT the empowerment of rural women will be more effective and can improve the quality of life of women socially and economically.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the industrial work practice program at the Integrated Islamic Vocational School through the Context, Input, Process, Product and Outcome approaches. This research is a quantitative description. The method in this study using a questionnaire. The research sample was one principal, two deputy head of industrial relations, one deputy head of curriculum, four teachers who supervised the industrial practice program, and 133 students. The results of the study show the suitability or relevance of the dimensions: 1) Context consists of the goals, competencies and work ethic of students as well as links and matches; 2) Input consists of planning, provisioning, curriculum, students, human resources, infrastructure and financing; 3) Process, consisting of mapping, implementation, monitoring, effectiveness; 4) Product consists of a competency test and certification; 5) Outcome consisted of student absorption and change in attitude skills. The results of the research can contribute to evaluating the overall industrial work practice program from various dimensions, so that it can increase the competency absorption of Integrated Islamic Vocational Schools in the business and industrial world.

Abstract

Program Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) merupakan kebijakan baru dari Kemeterian Pendidikan Kebudayaan. Program ini memberikan hak belajar 3 semester diluar program studi bagi mahasiswa agar menguasai berbagai keilmuan. MBKM merupakan bentuk kebebasan belajar bagi mahasiswa. Kementerian memfasilitasi dalam delapan bentuk kegiatan pembelajaran. Tujuan artikel ini untuk mengidentifikasi kendala yang dihadapi dalam implementasi program MBKM ini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan menggunakan studi literature terhadap artikel terkait implementasi program MBKM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kendala program MBKM berbeda-beda tergantung kepada bentuk kegiatan pembelajaran yang diimplementasikan oleh Perguruan Tinggi, program studi, dosen dan mahasiswa. Dengan identifikasi kendala yang ditemui dalam implementasi program MBKM dapat dijadikan sebagai alat evaluasi sehingga program MBKM ini menjadi lebih baik lagi dalam pelaksanannya

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah melakuan pendampingan kepada desa Sirnajaya sebagai salah satu desa yang berada di Kecamatan Sukamakmur Kabupaten Bogor. Secara geografis berada dibelakang hutan lindung Mega Mendung Kabupaten Bogor. Sebagai wilayah yang baru dimekarkan dari Kecamatan Jonggol Kecamatan Sukamakmur terus berbenah menanggali berbagai potensi sumber daya alam yang ada di daerahnya untuk dijadikan aset pengembangan pariwisata agar dapat menaikkan pendapatan perkapita masyarakatnya. Metode dalam kegiatan ini dengan pendampingan dan pelatihan dalam pengembangan wisata alam di Desa Sirnajaya Kecamatan Sukamakmur Kabupaten Bogor adalah Rawa Gede yang belum banyak dikunjungi wisatawan. Selain Situ Rawa Gede keindahan desa ini tidak diragukan lagi karena letaknya yang berada di tengah perbukitan, dikelilingi pemandangan hamparan sawah dan padi menghijau sungguh sangat menawan. Desa ini juga memiliki curug yang asri, sehingga memiliki daya tarik bagi para wisatawan baik dari Bogor maupun daerah lainnya. Dalam mempersiapkan upaya mengembangkan menjadi sebuah desa wisata maka Desa Sirnajaya, maka perlu pendampingan dalam strategi pengembangan desa wisata, sehingga memiliki perencanaan pembangunan berdasarkan kondisi di lapangan. Dengan menggunakan metode Analisis Strength, Weakness, Opportunity &Threat (SWOT) maka dapat diidentifikasi secara umum bagaimana kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang dan ancaman bagi Desa Sirnajaya untuk menjadi sebuah desa wisata, sehingga nantinya dapat dirumuskan dan diperkirakan strategi yang tepat untuk melakukan pengembangan terhadap potensi Desa Sirnajaya untuk menjadi sebuah Desa Wisata.

Abstract

Abstract The village community has a variety of food products and crafts that come from nature. Local products have various advantages to be suitable for consumption or to be used to meet local market needs in the area where they are produced and outside the area. MSME owners as producers have various obstacles both in meeting the needs of raw materials, production, packaging and marketing. The purpose of this activity is to provide knowledge and skills for MSME owners to be able to compete outside the village.The method of activity is by providing training according to the needs of MSMEs. The results of the training showed that some of the training participants had received training from the company, so that the training held strengthened participants' understanding of the benefits of packaging for business product development Abstrak Masyarakat desa memiliki berbagai hasil produk makanan maupun kerajinan yang bersumber dari alam. Produk lokal memiliki berbagai keunggulan untuk layak dikonsumsi maupun untuk digunakan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan pasar lokal didaerah tempat di produksi maupun di luar daerah. Pemilik UMKM sebagai produksi memiliki berbagai kendala baik dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan bahan baku, produksi, packaging maupun pemasaran. Tujuan kegiatan ini untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan bagi pemilik UMKM agar mampu bersaing di luar desa. Metode kegiatan dengan memberikan latihan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan UMKM. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan sebagian peserta pelatihan telah mendapatkan pelatihan oleh perusahaan, sehingga pelatihan yang dilaksanakan memperkuat pemahaman peserta manfaat packaging bagi pengembangan produk usaha
