Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of school accreditation on the increase in the number of new high school students in Barito Kuala Regency. The problem raised in this study is how school accreditation influences prospective students' decisions in choosing a school and how much impact it has on the number of new student enrollments. The approach used in this study is quantitative, with data analysis using inductive statistical methods (inferential statistics) and data processing carried out using Microsoft Office Excel software. The type of data used is time series data with an observation period of the last three years from 2022 to 2024. The data used in this study is secondary data obtained by third-party processing, sourced from official publication reports of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Dapodikdasmen, School/Field Data, and Literature Studies. The results of the study show that schools with A accreditation consistently have a higher number of new students compared to schools with B and C accreditation. However, schools with B accreditation still show high competitiveness like schools with A accreditation. Meanwhile, schools with C accreditation have a lower number of students, although it remains stable. Accreditation has been proven to influence public perception and serve as a quality indicator that plays a role in parents' and students' school choices. Therefore, improving school quality through accreditation is crucial for increasing school attractiveness and increasing the number of new students.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

This study examines the Human Development Index (HDI) as a primary indicator of human development quality, focusing on two core indicators: average years of schooling and per capita expenditure. It analyzes the comparison of these two indicators in Tabalong Regency during the period from 2012 to 2023, while taking into account income inequality as measured by the Gini Ratio and HDI classifications. A quantitative descriptive-comparative approach was employed. The data used is time series data from 2012 to 2023, consisting of secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Tabalong Regency. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and Independent t-Test with the assistance of IBM SPSS 25. The findings indicate that income inequality does not directly affect educational attainment or per capita expenditure, as reflected in these two indicators. Conversely, regions with higher HDI tend to show improvements in both average years of schooling and per capita expenditure. This study highlights the importance of integrated policy approaches in education, economic growth, and public health to promote inclusive and sustainable human development.

Abstract

Poverty remains a major challenge faced by many countries, particularly in developing nations where economic inequality and limited employment opportunities persist. To address this issue, governments have implemented various strategies aimed at strengthening economic capacity and fostering entrepreneurial mindsets within society. One such strategy is the development of cooperatives, which are economic institutions based on the principles of kinship, mutual cooperation, and economic democracy. The purpose of this study is to examine the role of school cooperatives in fostering the entrepreneurial spirit among students. Specifically, this study explores how involvement in school cooperative activities contributes to the development of students’ entrepreneurial attitudes, skills, and values. This study employs a narrative literature review with a structured search and screening process. Relevant articles were identified through academic databases using keywords related to school cooperatives and student entrepreneurship. The selection process involved reviewing titles, abstracts, and full texts to ensure their relevance to the research objective. A total of twenty articles that met the inclusion criteria were selected and analyzed. The findings from these studies were then synthesized to identify patterns and key themes related to the contribution of school cooperatives to entrepreneurial development. The findings indicate that school cooperatives can foster students’ entrepreneurial spirit through several mechanisms. These include experiential learning opportunities, the development of responsibility and leadership through cooperative management activities, and the improvement of financial literacy through basic financial management practices. In addition, participation in cooperative activities helps cultivate a strong work ethic and collaborative skills among students. The study implies that strengthening school cooperatives can be an effective strategy for integrating entrepreneurship education with practical learning experiences in schools.

Abstract

The rapid growth of live-streaming commerce has transformed online shopping behavior by creating interactive purchasing environments that encourage impulse buying. This study aims to examine the effects of streamer characteristics, online comments, and promotional time limits on impulse buying behavior through perceived trust and perceived value among consumers in South Kalimantan, Indonesia. A quantitative approach was employed, and data were collected through an online questionnaire from 270 respondents who had watched and made purchases through live-streaming commerce. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS software. The findings indicate that streamer characteristics positively and significantly influence both perceived trust and perceived value, while promotional time limits positively and significantly influence perceived value. Furthermore, perceived trust and perceived value positively and significantly influence impulse buying behavior. In contrast, online comments do not have a significant effect on either perceived trust or perceived value. These findings suggest that streamer characteristics and promotional time limits play an important role in shaping consumers' psychological responses and impulse buying behavior in live-streaming commerce. This study contributes to the Stimulus Organism Response (SOR) literature and provides practical implications for businesses in developing more effective live-streaming marketing strategies.
