Abstract

The study aims to analyze the factors - factors affecting the level of unemployment in theprovince of North Sulawesi. These factors include wages, inflation and GDP growth. This study usesmultiple linear regression analysis with Ordinary Least Square method (OLS) was performed using14 years data from 2001 to 2014. The results showed wage variables significantly influence theunemployment rate in North Sulawesi province with probability 0.0104, while inflation and levels ofGDP growth does not significantly influence the unemployment rate with respective probabilities0.5619 for Inflation and 0.3791 for GDP growth.Keywords: affecting factors, wages, inflation, GDP growth, unemployment, North Sulawesi Province

Abstract

This study aims to formulate the development strategy of Malalayang Coastal Tourism of Manado City. This research uses descriptive method where data are collected, analyzed and descripted by using qualitative approach. Qualitative approach describes the responses of respondents to marine tourism based on the given questionnaire. Data collection conducted through field observation, interview and literature study. The results of this study indicate that the strategy of marine tourism development Malalayang Beach lies in the position of quadrant I or lies between external opportunities and internal strength. Strategy of maritime tourism development Malalayang Beach Manado City is to maintain and preserve the surrounding environment, the need for the development of facilities and facilities of tourism objects, the rearrangement of “sabua bulu” as a culinary place and the need for management of the government and private sector to be more focused and run well and both The parties agreed to cooperate to develop sustainable tourism Malalayang Coastal..

Abstract

This study aims to identify the shape and level of community participation in the planning, implementation, and supervision of Environmental Based Programs - Building Environmental and Social Infrastructure (PBL-Mapalus). The data used in conducting this research are primary data and secondary data. Primary data is data obtained directly in the field, through interviews and observations using questionnaires / questionnaires. Secondary data is data obtained from related institutions such as the Community Empowerment and Manpower Board of Manado City, Office of Lurah Bumi Nyiur and Tuminting Urban Village Office. Sampling technique in this research used Purposive Sampling. This method is done by taking the people who are selected by researchers according to the specific characteristics possessed by the sample. The result of this research can be concluded that community participation in Environment Based Development Program - Building Environmental and Social Infrastructure (PBL-Mapalus) shows the activity of society is big enough. Although there are still a handful of people who do not know about Environmental-Based Development - Building Environmental and Social Infrastructure (PBL-Mapalus) so it is advisable to the relevant agencies to provide more socialization to the community.

Abstract

This study aims to see how big the level of business benefits of snack cake and its contribution to household income. This research was conducted in October until December 2016. The data used are primary data and secondary data. This research was conducted by direct interview technique with 15 (fifteen) respondents in this case cake snack businessman and also using written data in document form obtained from village head. The data obtained will be analyzed using descriptive analysis and will be presented in tabular form. The results of this study indicate that the average cake snack profit is Rp.4.503.835 in 1 (one) month, while the contribution of cake snack business to household income has a percentage of 83.65% in 1 (one) month.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the income of coffee farming. The location of this research was East Purwerejo Village, Modayag Sub-district, East Bolaang Mongondow District. Data collection is done by taking primary data and secondary data. Primary data were obtained from farmers through a list of prepared questions, while secondary data were obtained from village offices. Sampling method used Simple Ramdom Sampling by taking samples of 20 farmers. Data collecting method used is descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate that the existing coffee farming in Purwerejo Timur village has benefited and is feasible to cultivate due to higher income compared to expenditure cost incurred by farmers.

Abstract

Continuing management of tourist destinations, integrating economic and ecological aspects, and involving quadrohelical roles: local communities, tourism businesses, government and universities. This research develops a tourism destination management model that integrates economic and ecological development based on visitor willingness to pay (WTP) attachment with willingness to accept (WTA) of local community, supported by business actor role and government. Colleges play a role in identifying ecological and economic elements, analyzing and formulating alternative development activities that ensure economic improvement for local communities and resource sustainability (natural, socio-cultural) to improve the destination's life cycle. The purpose of this research is to manage the role of quadrohelical tourism in evaluating, developing economic programs / activities for the surrounding community, by prioritizing the sustainability of resource ecosystem. This research was conducted for 10 months in the area of Mahengetang submarine volcano in Sangihe District. This study focuses on identifying existing conditions of economic and ecological elements, analysis and formulation of alternative activities for economic and ecological improvement based on indicators (WTP-WTA). Destination management model based on WTP-WTA with integrated role of quadrohelical system can be adapted and developed in other destination, or in other resource utilization.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the level of welfare of farmers who seek in the field of wetland rice and corn farmers in the Village Matani Tumpaan District in South Minahasa. The study lasted from July to September 2017. The data used are primary data collected throught interviews with farmers by purposive sampling taken 15 corn farmers and 15 rice field farmers.The study on farmers’ welfare level is seen from the form of economic and non economic variables enjoyed by respondents based on the criteria of BKKBN covering 5 stages of family welfare indicators. Secondary data is obtained throught documents and research results and library, data and information in village, sub-district and district offices. The result of this research concludes that rice farmers are more prosperous than corn farmers in Matani Village. Tumpaan Subdistrict of South Minahasa Regency. Wet land paddy farmers are included in the stages of the Prosperous Family II (KS II) and Prosperous Family III (KS III) while corn farmers are included in the stage of the Prosperous Family I (KS I).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the distribution of income among regions in North Sulawesi Province. This research was conducted for 4 months from October 2017 until February 2018 in North Sulawesi Province. In this study the data used were secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of North Sulawesi Province. The data was processed using Gini Index analysis method (calculated BPS data) and Williamson Index and presented in tabular form. The results of the research showed that the level of the uniformity of the income distribution among regions in North Sulawesi tended increase as incated by the value of Williamson Index which raised from 0,475 in 2012 to 0,543 in 2016. While the income distribution in North Sulawesi was relative even indicated by the value of Gini Index in 2012 0.43 dropped 0,39 in 2016.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that affect the conversion of agricultural land in South Tomohon Subdistrict Tomohon City. In particular, this study looks at internal factors that affect the conversion of agricultural land in South Tomohon Sub-District, Tomohon City. This study was conducted by using secondary data obtained from BPS (Statistics Bureau) office Tomohon City, Subdistrict office and Village Offices in South Tomohon Sub-district. And for the primary data obtained from the direct interview with the farmers. The data is then analyzed by using qualitative data analysis techniques using tables and described descriptively. The results of research showed that land function change happened in this area, allot of land that is as housing (70%). Furthermore, for the main cause of landowners sell or alter the function of agricultural land that is due to the cost of child education and high selling prices.*jnkd*.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of agricultural sector in the absorption of labor in North Sulawesi Province. This research was conducted for three months, starting from October until December 2017 in North Sulawesi Province. In this study the data used are secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of North Sulawesi Province. The data is processed using the formula Location Quotient (LQ) and Labor Multiplier (Multiplier Shortrun). The results showed that agricultural sector is the most important sector in the absorption of labor in the Province of North Sulawesi. The contribution of agriculture sector on labor absorption period 2009-2016 as much as 39%. The contribution of the agricultural sector in absorbing labor in the Province of North Sulawesi tends to be the same as the contribution of the agricultural sector at the National level.*oehl*.
