Abstract

Al-Hadith, as the second source of law after the Qur'an, encompasses many actions and sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) that serve as a model for Muslims in their daily lives. Additionally, Hadith functions to provide more detailed explanations of the laws found in the Qur'an. However, in practice, the use of Hadith often generates controversy among Muslims due to doubts regarding the authenticity, validity, and interpretation of certain Hadiths. This paper aims to examine Takhrij Al-Hadith as a method for understanding and studying Hadith, which is one of the sources of Islamic law. The method used in this research is a literature review, where the author collects information and data from various sources, such as journals, books, and articles. The findings of this study include several explanations regarding: the definition of Takhrij, the history and background of Takhrij Hadith, and the methods of Takhrij Al-Hadith based on aspects such as wording, themes, initial texts/athraf, first narrators, status/position, and the use of technology in Takhrij Hadith through Hadith CD Rooms. Furthermore, this paper also discusses the objectives and benefits of Takhrij Hadith..

Abstract

Women have made significant contributions to the dissemination and teaching of hadith, particularly in classical hadith schools that emerged during early Islam. Their roles extended beyond narration to include teaching and the development of hadith sciences. This article aims to explore the role of women in this context, highlighting key figures such as Aisyah bint Abu Bakr, Ummu Salamah, Fatimah al-Marwazi, and Karimah al-Marwazi. The study employs a descriptive-analytical method based on library research, referencing primary sources like classical hadith compilations and secondary sources from academic articles. The findings reveal that women played strategic roles in the transmission and teaching of hadith. Aisyah, for instance, narrated over 2,000 hadiths and became a central reference in various aspects of Islamic jurisprudence. Female scholars like Fatimah al-Marwazi and Karimah al-Marwazi significantly contributed by teaching monumental works such as Sahih Bukhari in classical hadith schools. Despite social and cultural challenges, these women successfully left a lasting impact on the development of Islamic scholarship, which remains influential today.

Abstract

The story of Prophet Moses (Moses) and Pharaoh (Pharaoh) is the most frequently mentioned narrative in the Qur'an, appearing in as many as 296 verses. The repetition of this story underscores its significance and the lessons it holds, especially regarding relations with leaders. Scholars such as Sayyid Qutb, Hasan al-Banna, and al-Mawardi emphasize the obligation of Muslims to preach to unjust leaders using religious teachings. Allah warns of the dire consequences of a leader's injustice, including painful punishment and the destruction of a nation. Therefore, da'wah (preaching) to leaders becomes a crucial step. The research methodology includes collecting verses related to the story of Prophet Moses and Pharaoh, carefully examining the words and sentences used in these verses, studying the interpretations from various schools of thought, and conducting a thorough analysis using objective reasoning and philosophical and allegorical methods (ishari) as approached by al-Ghazali. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of da'wah from the story of Prophet Moses with Pharaoh is that despite numerous challenges from tyrannical regimes, Prophet Moses remained steadfast and patient in carrying out his ministry. Prophet Moses' style of discussion and reasoned debate demonstrates the value of a preaching strategy that focuses on both spiritual and intellectual strength. Prophet Moses' attitude demonstrates how a preacher must be courageous, patient, and consistent when dealing with opposing powers.

Abstract

Musalsal hadith is one model of hadith transmission from the time of the Prophet Muhammad to narrators from generation to generation, even today. In this study, the authors found a unique concept of sanadization, namely the Sanadization of the Hadith Musalsal bi Al-Yamaniyin, or the form of sanad, which is the custom of a family in Yemen. Therefore, this study aims to trace the examples of sanadization that the researcher mentioned earlier. In this study, the authors used a qualitative research method with a type of library research, with a regional hadith study approach. This research found that the people of Yemen strictly guard against Islamic knowledge, especially in the transmission of hadiths, so there is a habit of transmitting hadiths by information from close family members. In this study, the authors took a sample from the traditions they carried out with sufficient sanadization to maintain an intellectual level among their families.

Abstract

This study analyzes the role of the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in encouraging social change during three important phases in Islamic history, namely the Khulafaur Rashid, the Umayyad and Abbasid periods, and assesses its relevance in contemporary contexts. This study uses a qualitative approach with a content analysis method on primary and secondary sources that contain hadith and historical records related to social transformation in each period. The results of the study show that during the time of Khulafaur Rashidin, hadith became a normative foundation in organizing socio-political life, including in the distribution of zakat, the protection of minorities, and deliberation in decision-making. In the Umayyad and Abbasid periods, hadith was used as a tool of legitimacy of power, but it also underwent significant codification and standardization, making it an instrument of institutionalized social reform. Contemporary discussions reveal that the values in the hadith remain relevant in promoting social justice agendas, inclusive education, gender equality, and peace. However, challenges arise when the hadith is interpreted textualistically without considering the context and purpose of the shari'a (maqāṣid al-sharī'ah). This study concludes that hadith has great transformative potential if interpreted contextually and progressively, but risks becoming a tool of conservatism if used narrowly. Therefore, hermeneutic and maqāṣid approaches need to be integrated in the understanding of hadith in the modern era.

Abstract

Kufa is one of the strategic cities in the history of Islamic civilization that has made a great contribution to the development of hadith science. Founded during the time of Caliph Umar bin al-Khattab, Kufa developed into an intellectual center inhabited by companions and tabi'in, as well as an important arena for the transmission and study of hadith. This city is not only known as the location of hadith narration, but also as a place for the growth of various schools of fiqh and theological thought that influenced the formation of Islamic scientific methodology. This research aims to examine the traces and dynamics of hadith narration in the Kufa madrasah, by tracing the contributions of scholars, the development of scientific institutions, and the influence of socio-political situations on the transmission of hadith. This study uses a qualitative approach with historical methods and literature analysis, focusing on classical sources and contemporary studies of the hadith and intellectual history of Kufa. The results of the study show that hadith madrassas in Kufah developed in a dynamic socio-political context and full of sectarian debates. Kufa scholars developed a rational and critical approach to the narration of hadith, which had a significant impact on the development of hadith science and fiqh thought. Political dynamics and the emergence of various schools of thought such as Shi'ah, Khawarij, and Ahlus Sunnah also shaped the plural and analytical scientific character of Kufa. Thus, the hadith madrassas in Kufa not only inherited a strong tradition of hadith transmission, but also made an influential methodological contribution to the history of Islamic science. This study emphasizes the importance of Kufa's position as the epicenter of hadith science that continues to have an impact on the development of Islamic studies to the present day.

Abstract

A healthy environment is a crucial factor in supporting optimal child growth and development. In various regions of Indonesia, there are still many issues related to low awareness of healthy lifestyles that have not been properly addressed. The strategic role of housewives is essential in maintaining environmental cleanliness, but limited access to information and skills means some mothers are unable to properly manage household waste. This community service activity aims to empower housewives through 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) training. This training is the first step in realizing environmentally friendly villages. The methods used include counseling, waste management practices, and mentoring in implementing the 3Rs in households. It is hoped that housewives participating in the training will develop skills in sorting and processing household waste, and that a collective commitment to maintaining environmental cleanliness with the community will be formed.

Abstract

Bodily health is one of the most important things to discuss in human life. Some studies link the relationship between the structure of the human body and its health. Linking the human body and health to religious teachings is not new and is found in almost all religions in the world. End-of-Days Medicine is a complementary therapy method that looks at the structure of the human body differently, based on the inspiration found in the Qur'an by its inventor, and sees a connection between the structure of the body and human health. This research combines qualitative and quantitative methods to obtain more accurate data, with a literature review and field observation approach. The results show that this type of theology is not something that deviates from religious teachings and is also not something that contradicts science. The understanding of the body structure in the style of the PAZ Therapy Method is interesting for further research, because it is a new paradigm that has never been put forward by health practitioners before and now.
