Abstract

This research aims to explain in depth the description of sharia economic law regarding the deduction system in the tradition of nyumbang to celebrations in the Ulujami community. This research is library research with a qualitative approach. The data sources used in this research come from various literature journal articles that are relevant to the research topic and describe the facts which are then continued with analysis. The data analysis method used is content analysis of the literature sources used in the research. The tradition of nyumbang in Ulujami shows a strong sense of mutual trust and cooperation between givers and recipients. Trust is a type of trust that people have in each other when interacting with each other in activities based on bonds of brotherhood, mutual giving, and mutual agreement with the aim of producing moral and material benefits for both parties. The Ulujami community has various types of celebrations, including circumcisions, weddings, house building, and even recitation of the Koran. They also carry out a tradition of donating called "potangan" which means bequeathing some of their wealth in the hope that it will be returned during future celebrations. With this phenomenon, how Islam responds to the phenomenon of the cutting system is through the tradition of contributing to the Ulujami.

Abstract

Indonesia, as an agricultural country, has an agricultural sector that contributes significantly to the national economy. Palm oil is the main commodity that plays an important role in increasing state income, especially in Perdomuan Nauli Village, Kandis District, Riau. This research aims to analyze palm oil marketing in the village using descriptive methods. Primary data was obtained through interviews and questionnaires, while secondary data came from literature and related institutions. The research location was selected through purposive sampling involving 35 respondents who used three main marketing channels: Farmers–Collectors–RAM–PKS, Farmers–Collectors–PKS, and Farmers–RAM–PKS. The research results show that the Farmer–RAM–PKS channel provides the highest profits for farmers with a margin of IDR 434.3/kg, followed by the Farmer–Collector–PKS channel with a profit of IDR 234.3/kg. The Farmer–Collector–RAM–PKS channel, even though it is the longest, still provides profits for farmers of IDR 139.3/kg. Each channel has its own advantages and disadvantages, depending on the facilities provided and marketing costs incurred. This research emphasizes the importance of evaluating and improving marketing channels to increase the efficiency and welfare of oil palm farmers in Perdomuan Nauli Village

Abstract

The swift and unprecedented progress of scientific inquiry and technological innovation in the contemporary digital landscape has ushered in transformative and revolutionary shifts in the realm of financial transactions, whereby individuals no longer find it necessary to endure the tedious process of queuing in order to establish a savings account or to bide their time awaiting the issuance of an ATM card; instead, in this modern age, all that is required is the simple act of downloading an application and replenishing one’s balance, which facilitates immediate transactional capabilities. The outcomes derived from the comprehensive analysis indicate that the four electronic money platforms, namely BCA Sakuku, Link Aja, OVO, and GoPay, serve as significant representatives of their growing presence within the Indonesian market, warranting not only heightened scrutiny from regulatory authorities but also necessitating an in-depth examination from the perspective of Islamic jurisprudence, especially considering that a substantial proportion of the users engaging with these electronic monetary systems identify as Muslim. The emergence and proliferation of electronic money is an undeniable phenomenon that cannot be dismissed or overlooked, as it is intrinsically linked to the rapid pace of technological advancement, compelling the legal framework to adapt and align itself with the exigencies of progress inherent in this millennial epoch characterized by digitalization, speed, and precision; it is conceivable that physical currency may, in certain contexts, be rendered obsolete.

Abstract

Abstract

The Alas Mentaok was a forest dominated by the mentaok tree (Wrightia javanica) that once existed in Yogyakarta, Java Island, Indonesia. This forest has cultural and historical value, as it is believed to be the first location to establish the Mataram Islam Kingdom in Java in 1582 AD. This study utilized species distribution models (SDMs) to investigate the species distribution pattern and assess its latest conservation status in Java and the Lesser Sunda Islands, Indonesia. The methodology used involved collecting occurrence and environmental data of W. javanica, conducting species distribution modeling using the maximum entropy algorithm, evaluating the model's accuracy, and performing an independent assessment of the area of occupancy (AOO) and extensive occurrence (EOO) using the geospatial conservation assessment tool (GeoCAT). While the number of suitable habitat areas for W. javanica in Yogyakarta is projected to decrease by 2100, the islands of Sumba and Timor are anticipated to experience an increase in the suitable habitat areas for the species during the same year. The analysis of BIOCLIM 34 indicates the mean moisture index of the warmest quarter plays a vital role in the current and future projections. AOO calculation in GeoCAT places this species in the endangered (EN) category, particularly within our regions of interest in Java and the Lesser Sunda Islands. Overall, a full assessment combining a habitat suitability model with current conservation status information would provide a more comprehensive understanding of mentaok's habitat preferences and current conservation status in Indonesia.

Abstract

Research aims: This study aims to analyze the validity of sale and purchase contracts using Shopee PayLater as a financial technology instrument from the perspective of Islamic law. Design/Methodology/Approach: This research employs a normative juridical approach with a statute-based method. Data were collected from primary legal materials such as fatwas, laws, and regulations, as well as secondary and tertiary legal sources. The study is descriptive in nature. Research findings: The findings reveal that Shopee PayLater does not meet the requirements set by the National Sharia Council of the Indonesian Ulema Council (DSN-MUI) as outlined in Fatwa No. 116/DSN-MUI/IX/2017 concerning Sharia Electronic Money. The feature contains ribawi elements through the imposition of interest (minimum 2.95% per month), a handling fee (1% of the transaction), and a late payment penalty (5% of the total amount), which contradict Islamic principles of fairness and transparency in transactions. Theoretical Contribution/Originality: This research contributes to the ongoing discourse on the intersection of Islamic legal norms and modern financial technology, especially regarding the legal status of Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) systems in Indonesia. Practitioners/Policy Implications: The findings may serve as a reference for fintech companies, policymakers, and regulators in developing sharia-compliant digital financial products, and encourage re-evaluation of existing BNPL schemes to align with Islamic economic principles. Research Limitations/Implications: This study is limited to the legal analysis based on Indonesian regulations and DSN-MUI fatwas, and does not explore user perspectives or comparative international frameworks. Future research is recommended to include broader empirical and cross-jurisdictional insights.
