Abstract

Introduction: Tuberculosis (TB) is a chronic infectious disease that can affect various organs and often leads to psychological stress. Spiritual Emotional Transcendence Care (SET Care), which integrates the SEFT approach with self-transcendence theory, is a relaxation technique aimed at reducing stress in TB patients.  Methods: This quasi-experimental study used a non-randomized pretest-posttest control group design. A total of 20 pulmonary TB patients were selected through purposive sampling and divided into treatment (n=10) and control (n=10) groups. Stress levels were measured using a modified DASS-42 stress subscale. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test and the Mann-Whitney U test with a significance level of p ≤ 0.05. Results: Demographic data showed equal gender distribution (50% male, 50% female), with most participants aged 44–55 years and educated up to senior high school. A significant reduction in stress levels was found in the treatment group after the intervention (p = 0.004), while the control group showed no significant change (p = 0.655). The Mann-Whitney U test confirmed a significant difference in post-test scores between groups (p = 0.000). Conclusions: SET Care effectively reduces stress in pulmonary TB patients and can be considered a complementary nursing intervention. Its integration into nursing practice supports holistic care by addressing emotional and spiritual well-being, potentially enhancing treatment adherence and patient outcomes.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Mechanical ventilators are invasive therapies in the form of assistive devices that take over respiratory functions, invasive breaths. Besides being used as a breathing aid, the use of mechanical ventilation can certainly cause complications for clients, one of which is Ventilator Associated Pneumonia (VAP). VAP is a lung infection caused by the use of a mechanical ventilator for more than 2 days. The prolonged duration of mechanical ventilator use is suspected to be one of the main factors leading to the occurrence of VAP. To determine the relationship between the duration of mechanical ventilator use and the incidence of Ventilator Associated Pneumonia (VAP) in the ICU of RSUD Karawang. The research method used is cross-sectional. The population used consists of patients who are on mechanical ventilation in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and have met the inclusion and exclusion criteria from January to November 2024, totaling 84 respondents. The sample size of 70 people was determined using the Slovin formula. The sampling method used is the consecutive sampling method. The statistical test method uses univariate analysis and bivariate analysis using the Chi-Square test. Out of 70 samples studied, there were 37 patients who were not affected by vap and 33 patients who were affected by vap. The correlation test yielded an Asymptotic Significance (2-sided) value of 0.045, thus the Asymptotic Significance (2-sided) value < α (0.05). There is a relationship between the duration of mechanical ventilator use and the incidence of Ventilator Associated Pneumonia (VAP) in the ICU of RSUD Karawang.  Keywords: Ventilator, Ventilator Associated Pneumonia (VAP), ICU  ABSTRAK Ventilator mekanik merupakan terapi invasive berupa penggunaan alat bantu yang bertugas mengambil alih fungsi pernapasan, nafas invasif. Abstract

Renewable energy plays a crucial role in reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Excessive use of fossil fuels, such as coal, can produce GHG emissions that trigger extreme weather and global warming. Therefore, efforts to increase renewable energy utilization are necessary, in line with the Government Work Plan (RKP) target, which targets renewable energy contributions to reach 23% by 2025. This study aims to predict the potential for solar renewable energy in an area based on radiation, temperature, and rainfall variables. The method used is a supervised learning-based Random Forest. Weather data was obtained through the Open Meteo API, then processed by assigning weights to variables to produce output labels, which were then used in the classification process and model performance evaluation. The results showed that the Random Forest model produced an accuracy of 99.82%, with predictions of low/no potential energy being completely correct, medium energy potential experiencing only one error, and high energy potential also experiencing only one error. Based on these findings, the Random Forest method has proven effective in predicting solar power potential with high accuracy and is able to identify variables with the highest to lowest levels of importance.
