Abstract

ABSTRACT Education plays a role and a very important factor in human life. Since formaleducation applies new curriculum which is curriculum 2013, it causes the students tohave less capability to make the argumentations toward the learning material. Thefacts on the real situation show that the ability to make argumentations about thesubject of physics on the concept of thermodynamics among students is still very low.So a scientific argument test is needed to find out how well the students’ understandingof physics material. Furthermore, by looking at how the students make theargumentations related to thermodynamic material, it will make the teacherunderstands the level students’ understanding of thermodynamic material. The resultof data analysis and discussion concluded that the percentage of of the level ofstudents’ scientific argumentation ability on the concept of thermodynamics in SMAX has the highest average of 41.60% based on indicator of argumentation’s proofwhich reaches the High criterion (T) and the highest average level of 51.96% basedon indicator of argumentation’s justification which meets the Medium criteria (S). Abstract

The purpose of this study are: (1) Assessing the influence model of ProblemBased Learning (PBL) with the task to learning outcomes of students with learningcommonly used in schools; (2) Assessing the influence model of Problem BasedLearning (PBL) with the task of the science process skills of students in physics inhigh school. This type of research is an experimental research. Research wasconducted in the second semester of the 2015/2016 academic year. The populationin this study were all students of class X SMAN 1 Jenggawah. Where the researchwas determined by purposive sampling method area.Techniques and data collectioninstruments used in this study are: observation using observation sheet, in the formof portfolio assessment results Student Worksheet (LKS), tests using the deviceachievement test (post-test), interviews, and documentation.Based on data analysisand discussion, the conclusion of this research are : There is a difference in studentlearning and science process skills high school science class X students betweenclasses eksperimens the control classKeywords: multirepresentation, student worksheet, Problem Based Learningmodel.

Abstract

Abstract REACT (Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, and Transferring) was one of teach model in contextualization proposed by Michael L. Crawford.Therefore, this research was focused on the development of teaching materials basedon REACT in learning physics for Senior High School. A product produced by thisresearch is the students’ book. The purpose of this study to determine the validity ofbook, describing effectiveness and student’s response after using teaching materialbased on REACT. The research used research and development (R&D) model with theprocedure claimed by Borg and Gall, which was modified into four phase, namely:1)research and information gathering, 2)planning, 3)development of initial design ofproduct,until 4)initial field experiment. Data result analyzed by descriptive qualitativemethod and quantitative descriptive. The results of this research indicates that theteaching materials based on REACT was very good with validity 90,02%. Meanwhile,teaching materials in the form of teaching material-based on REACT has mediumvalue N-Gain amount 0,69 ,but student gives good response with 84,41% positive toteaching materials based on REACT.Key word: teaching materials based on REACT, validity, effectiveness, response.

Abstract

Creative Problem Solving is a learning model which gives the opportunity to students constructing concepts, discussing materials, issuing opinions, and developing creativity in learning group. The purpose of this research was understand the improvement of concepts comprehension and scientific creativity skill of students on Elasticity and Hooke's law. This research was included in descriptive. This research was carried out based on the school availability as a place of research,. Research respondent in this case is Man 1 JEMBER in Science Class. Furthermore, sampling technique in this study was based on purposive sampling area. Collecting data method used pre-test and post-test. In this research, the instrument was essay test, consisted of nine item of concept comprehension and seven item of scientific creativity. The data analysis method of concept comprehension and seven item of scientific creativity used Normalized Gain (Ng). Based on this study, the concept comprehension of students significantly increased to 0,71 (high) while the scientific creativity skill increased to 0.4 (medium).Keyword: CPS, Concept Comprehension, Scientific Creativity Skill

Abstract

Viscosity was the friction that occurs between layers in the fluid. There were several factors that affect the viscosity value of a fluid, one of them was temperature. But the effect of temperature on viscosity was still rarely discussed in the learning. This research aim to examine the effect of temperature on the cooking oil viscosity and made the design of physics practical work guideline based on the results of research. The fluid used in this research was oil palm packing oil consisting of Bimoli, Filma and Kunci Mas. In this research, the effect of temperature on the cooking oil viscosity was using the Stokes law. The result of the research was used as the basis for teaching material physics practical work guideline. Based on the results of the research showed that the viscosity of cooking oil decreased with increasing temperature. This was indicated by the declining mass of cooking oil. The design of physics practical work guideline of temperature effect on viscosity consists of several parts, the title, purpose, tools and materials, theoretical basis on the effect of temperature on viscosity, step experiment, experiment result tabel, and question.Key word: viscosity, temperature, cooking oil, teaching material.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research was to examine the effect of the model ofproject based learning by utilizing used materials to the students' learning outcomes,to examine the influence of the model of the project based learning by utilizing theused materials on the interest of learning and to describe the creativity of the studentsin the model of project based learning by utilizing the used materials. The type ofresearch was experiment using posttest-only control group design. The independentvariables in this research was the model of project based learning by utilizing theused materials, the dependent variable in this study is the learning, learning interest,and the students creativity. The result of this research showed that (1) project basedlearning model using the used materials had significant effect on the students'learning outcomes, (2) project based learning model using the used materials hadno significant effect on students' learning interest, (3) Student learning creativityduring use the model of project based learning by utilizing the used materialsincluded in the category quite creative.Key Word: project based learning model, student learning outcame, interests,creativity

Abstract

This research was the result of research entitled "Learning Physics in senior high school by Using the Cooperative Model Type STAD (Study: at SMAN 1 Tapen Bondowoso)". The purpose of this research was to know the effect of using STAD on students’ motivation in learning physic and to know wheter or not there was an effect of using STAD on the result of students’ learning outcome in learning physic at senior high school. The population of this research was the tenth grade students of SMAN 1 Tapen Bondowoso. The design of this research was quasi experimental research post test only control design. The data was collected through students’ motivation and students’ learning outcomes by using questionnaire, observation, interviews and documentation. Based on the statistical results, it was known that the mean score of students’ motivation and learning outcome in experimental class was better than the students’ in the control class. It can be concluded that there was an effect of using cooperative learning model STAD on the students’ motivation and learning outcome in learning physics at SMAN 1 Tapen Bondowoso. Abstract

Abstract This study focused on the development of product learning with Dynamic FluidE-Module. This was research intended to know the validity, improve students'critical thinking skill, and to know the student's response in using the DynamicFluid E-Module. The research was conducted in SMA Negeri 4 Jember in thestudents of class XI odd semester of academic year 2016/2017. The dynamicfluid material content module packed in e-module (electronic module). Thedevelopment model used is 4D developed by Thiagarajan namely: define(definition stage), design (planning stage), development (development stage),and dissemination (dispersion stage. The average value of validity is 4.11included in the valid criteria. N-Gain obtained 0.81 with high category. Theaverage percentage of student responses was 91.81% very positive category.Dynamic Fluid E-Module can be concluded the development and posible to use.Keywords : dynamic fluid, e-module, critical thinking skill.

Abstract

This article resulted of research "The Influence Model of GI-GI Against Learning Achievement of Physics and Students Scientific Attitude in Learning The Newton Laws in SMA". The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of model GI-GI against the results of the cognitive learning of physics, and scientific attitude of students on the material law of Newton in SMA Negeri Candipuro. This research was kind of research experiments using the design of the post test only control group. The population was class X SMA Negeri Candipuro in this research. The research sample was class X-1 as experimental class and class X-2 as the class of the control. Cognitive learning results students data were obtain through post-test and analyzed using independent sample t-test with the help of SPSS 22 research to test the hypothesis. Student attitude data obtained via the question form and analyzed using independent sample t-test with the help of SPSS 22 research to test the hypothesis. The results of the analysis of the independent sample t-test against cognitive learning results students showed the value of Sig. 0.000 < 0.05, then H0 is rejected. The results of the analysis of the independent sample t-test a scientific attitude towards students showed the value of Sig. 0.011 < 0.05, then H0 is rejected. Based on the analysis results can conclusioned the learning model GI-GI influence on the results of a study of cognitive and scientific attitude of students in learning the law of Newton in SMA Negeri Candipuro. Abstract

ABSTRAKTomat ranti merupakan jenis tomat yang memiliki kandungan likopen serta vitamin c yang lebih tinggi dibanding dengan jenis tomat yang lain. Tomat ranti merupakan salah satu jenis buah klimaterik dengan umur simpan ± 3-7 hari. Medanmagnet ELF merupakan salah satu jenis dari gelombang elektromagnetik yang bersifat Non-Ionizing dan telah dinyatakan dalam beberapa penelitian dalam bidang pangan, pertanian dan lain sebagainya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh paparan medan magnet ELF dengan intensitas 600 µT, 1000 µT, dan 1500 µT terhadap perubahan nilai massa jenis tomat ranti pada kelompok kontrol dan kelompok eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan sampel yang digunakan yaitu tomat ranti. Sampel dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok kontrol dan 45 kelompok eksperimen. Pengukuran nilai massa jenis dilakukan pad ahari ke-2, ke-4, ke-6, dan ke-8 setelah pemaparan. Hasil dari penelitian menunujukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara kelompok kontrol dengan kelompok eksperimen. Intensitas dan waktu pemaparan yang paling efektif dalam penelitian ini yaitu intensitas 600 dengan lama waktu 100 menit. Kata kunci: tomat ranti; massa jenis; medan magnet; elf; pembusukan. ABSTRACTRanti tomato is a type of tomato that contains lycopene and vitamin C which is higher than other types of tomatoes. Ranti tomato is a type of climacteric fruit with a shelf life of ± 3-7 days. The ELF magnetic field is one type of electromagnetic wave that is Non-Ionizing and has been stated in several studies in the fields of food, agriculture and so on. This study aims to determine the effect of exposure to the ELF magnetic field with an intensity of 600 µT, 1000 µT, and 1500 µT on changes in the density value of ranti tomatoes in the control group and the experimental group. The research design used is Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with the sample used is tomato ranti. The sample was divided into 5 control groups and 45 experimental groups. Density values were measured on the 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th days after exposure. The results of the study showed a significant difference between the control group and the experimental group. The most effective intensity and exposure time in this study was the intensity of 600 with a duration of 100 minutes. Keywords: ranti tomato; density; magnetic field; elf; decay.
