Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemecahan masalah bangun ruang sisi datar oleh siswa SMP yang memiliki kecerdasan visual-spasial. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 5 Palu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Subjek pada penelitian ini berjumlah 1 (satu) orang. Subjek dipilih berdasarkan hasil tes kecerdasan majemuk dengan melihat tingkat kecerdasan visual-spasial yang dominan. Pemecahan masalah pada penelitian ini mengacu pada langkah-langkah pemecahan masalah Polya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) profil pada saat memahami masalah, subjek memahami kalimat pada masalah yang berikan. Subjek dapat menemukan informasi mengenai hal-hal yang diketahui dan ditanyakan. (2) Profil pada saat menyusun rencana pemecahan masalah, subjek melihat keterkaitan dari informasi pada masalah yang diberikan untuk mencari informasi baru yang dapat digunakan untuk memecahkan masalah. (3) Profil pada saat melaksanakan rencana pemecahan masalah, subjek menghubungkan antara informasi-informasi yang diperoleh, pengalaman, serta pengetahuan yang telah dipelajari sebelumnya untuk dapat memecahkan masalah. (4) Profil pada saat memeriksa kembali jawaban, subjek melakukannya dengan cara melihat-lihat serta sesekali menghitung hasil pekerjaannya. Kata kunci : Profil pemecahan masalah, bangun ruang sisi datar, kecerdasan visual-spasial. Abstrac: This study aimed to describe the problem solving polyhedron by junior high school students who have visual-spatial intelligence. The research was conducted in SMP Negeri 5 Palu. This research is a qualitative research. Subjects in this study amounted to 1 (one) person. Subjects were selected based on multiple intelligence test results given the level of visual-spatial intelligence are dominant. Solving the problem in this study refers to measures Polya problem solving. The results showed that (1) profile at the time to understand the problem, the subject understand the sentence on a given problem. The subject can find information about things that are known and questioned. (2) When designing the profile to solving the subject see the interconnectedness of information on a given issues to find new information that could be used to solve the problem. (3) Profiles when implementing plan problem-solving, the subject of linking the information obtained, experience and knowledge that has been previously studied in order to solve the problem. (4) Profile of the time of check answer, subjects do it by sight-seeing and occasional calculate his work. Keywords: Profile problem solving; polyhedron, visual-spatial intelligence.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian,ini,bertujuan,untuk,mendeskripsikan,penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi barisan dan deret di kelas X IPA F SMA Negeri 1 Parigi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Rancangan penelitian mengacu pada desain penelitian Kemmis dan Mc. Tanggart yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian,adalah siswa kelas X IPA F SMA Negeri 1 Parigi yang berjumlah 40 orang siswa. Pada penelitian ini juga dipilih 3 orang informan untuk keperluan wawancara dengan kualifikasi kemampuan tinggi, sedangdan rendah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Data pada penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui lembar observasi, wawancara, catatan lapangan, dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi materi barisan dan deret di kelas X IPA F SMA Negeri 1 Parigi yaitu dengan fase-fase: 1) menyampaikan tujuan dan memotivasi siswa, 2) menyajikan/menyampaikan informasi, 3) mengorganisasikan siswa dalam kelompok-kelompok belajar, 4) membimbing kelompok bekerja dan belajar, 5) evaluasi, dan 6) memberikan penghargaan. Kata Kunci: kooperatif tipe STAD, hasil belajar, barisan dan deret. Abstract: The purpose of the research is to describe the application of cooperative learning of STAD to improve student learning outcomes in the sequence and series of material in class X IPA F SMA Negeri 1 Parigi. Kind of this research is classroom action research. The design of research refered to the Kemmis and Mc. Taggarts is planning, implementation of the acting, observating and reflecting. The subject were students of class X IPA F SMA Negeri 1 Parigi totaling 40 students. In this study also have 3 people informant for the purpose of qualifying an interview with the ability of high, medium and low. This research was conducted in two cycles. Data of this research was collected through observation sheet, interview, note fields and tes. The result of the research showed that the application of cooperative learning type STAD can improve student’s learning outcomes on sequence and series material in class X IPA F SMA Negeri 1 Parigi that is with the phases: 1) Phase outlines the objectives and motivate, 2) phases present or impart information, 3) phases of organizing students into learning groups, 4) phase guide the group work and learning, 5) an evaluation phase and, 6) the award phase groups. Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memperoleh deskripsi tentang penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) pada materi hubungan sudut pusat, panjang busur, dan luas juring lingkaran di kelas VIIIB SMP Islam Terpadu Qurrota A’yun Palu. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Desain penelitian yang dilakukan mengacu pada desain penelitian Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart, yang terdiri dari empat komponen, yaitu 1) perencanaan, 2) tindakan, 3) observasi, dan 4) refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIIB SMP Islam Terpadu Qurrota A’yun Palu, dan dipilih 4 orang siswa sebagai informan yang terdiri dari 2 orang berkemampuan rendah, 1 orang berkemampuan sedang, dan 1 orang berkemampuan tinggi. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data kuantitatif dan data kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data, yaitu observasi, tes, wawancara, dan catatan lapangan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, dengan mengikuti fase-fase model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT, yakni: 1) pengelompokkan dan penomoran, 2) pengajuan pertanyaan, 3) berpikir bersama, 4) menjawab. Hasil penelitian: 1) ketuntasan belajar klasikal siswa pada tes akhir tindakan siklus I mencapai 53,84%, dan pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan, yaitu diperoleh 77,77%, 2) hasil observasi aktivitas guru pada siklus I mencapai 78% dengan kriteria baik, dan pada siklus II mencapai 86% dengan kriteria sangat baik, 3) hasil observasi aktivitas siswa pada siklus I mencapai 72% dengan kriteria baik, dan pada siklus II mencapai 84% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Kata Kunci: Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT), Hasil Belajar, Hubungan Sudut Pusat, Panjang Busur, dan Luas Juring Lingkaran. Abstract: The purpose of this research was to get description of the implementation of Numbered Heads Together (NHT) type of cooperative learning model, at the relationship of central angle, arc length, and sector area of circle material, in grade VIIIB SMP Islam Terpadu Qurrota A’yun Palu. Type of this research is classroom action research (CAR). Design of the research refers to Kemmis and Mc. Taggart research design which comprised by four components: 1) planning, 2) action, 3) observation, and 4) reflection. Subject of this research were students of class VIIIB SMP Islam Terpadu Qurrota A’yun Palu, then 4 students were chosen to become informants which consisted of 2 persons have low ability, 1 person has medium ability, and 1 person has high ability. The data of this research was qualitative and quantitative datas, Datas collecting techniques were observation, test, interview, and field notes. This research conducted in two cycles. The results showed that the aplication of NHT type of cooperative learning model can improve students learning outcomes by following NHT phases, consisting of: 1) grouping and numbering, 2) questioning, thingking together, and 4) answering. The result of this research: 1) percentage of students test outcomes on 1st cycle reached 53,84%, and on 2nd cycle reached 77,77%, 2) percentage of teacher observation activities on 1st cycle reached 78% by the criteria of good, and on the 2nd cycle reached 86% by the criteria of very good, 3) percentage of students observation activities on 1st cycle reached 72% by the criteria of good, and on the 2nd cycle reached 84% by the criteria of very good. Abstract

Abstrak:Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan langkah-langkah pemecahan masalah menurut Polya untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi soal cerita keliling dan luas persegi panjang di kelas VII A SMP Negeri 19 Palu. Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang mengacu pada desain penelitian yang dikembangkan oleh Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yang terdiri dari empat komponen, yaitu 1) perencanaan, 2) pelaksanaan tindakan, 3) observasi dan 4) refleksi. Penelitian dengan langkah-langkah pemecahan masalah menurut Polya ini terdiri atas empat langkah, yaitu (1) memahami masalah, (2) membuat perencanaan, (3) melaksanakan perencanaan, (4) melakukan pengecekan kembali. Pada langkah I siswa menuliskan apa yang diketahui dan ditanyakan dari soal dengan memahami isi dari soal tersebut; pada langkah II siswa membuat rencana yang akan digunakan dalam menyelesaikan soal seperti menentukan rumus yang sesuai; pada langkah III siswa melaksanakan apa yang sudah direncanakan dari tahap sebelumnya dan siap melakukan perhitungan dengan segala macam data yang diperlukan termasuk konsep dan rumus yang sesuai; pada langkah IV siswa mengecek kembali hasil yang mereka peroleh dari tahap melaksanakan perencanaan dan selanjutnya membuat kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan peningakatan pada ketuntasan belajar klasikal dari menjadi pada siklus I. Pada siklus II menjadi dan diperoleh peningkatan aktivitas siswa dan aktivitas guru dari siklus I ke siklus II dengan kriteria sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan langkah-langkah pemecahan masalah menurut Polya dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita keliling dan luas persegi panjang di kelas VII A SMP Negeri 19 Palu. Abstract:The purpose of this study was to describe the application of measures by Polya problem solving to improve student learning outcomes in the material about stories circumference and area of a rectangle in class VII A Junior High School 19, Palu. This study is a Class Action Research (CAR), which refers to the study design was developed by Kemmis and Mc. Taggart which consists of four components: 1) planning, 2) action, 3) observation and 4) reflection. Research with the troubleshooting steps according Polya consists of four steps: (1) understand the problem, (2) planning, (3) to carry out planning, (4) checking back. In the first step the students write down what is known and asked of matter by understanding the content of the question; in step II students create a plan that will be used in solving problems such as determining the appropriate formula; in step III students implement what is already planned from the previous stage and ready to perform calculations with all kinds of necessary data including the concepts and formulas are appropriate; in step IV student-check their results from the next phase of implementing the planning and making inferences. The results of this study indicate peningakatan on classical learning completeness of 75% to 81.3% in cycle I. In the second cycle to 88.2% and obtained an increase in activity of student and teacher activities from the first cycle to the second cycle with the criteria very well. Based on these results, we can conclude that the adoption of measures by Polya problem solving can improve student learning outcomes in solving story circumference and area of a rectangle in class VII A Junior High School 19 Palu. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh deskripsi penerapan pendekatan saintifik untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa pada materi jarak dalam ruang dimensi tiga di kelas X MIA 2 MAN 1 Palu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Desain penelitian mengacu pada desain penelitian Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart, yakni perencanaan, tindakan dan observasi, serta refleksi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan saintifik dapat meningkatkan pema-haman siswa pada materi jarak dalam ruang dimensi tiga dengan mengikuti langkah-langkah yaitu: (1) mengamati, siswa mengamati gambar, peristiwa maupun benda sekitar yang menunjukkan jarak dalam ruang dimensi tiga. (2) menanya, peneliti dan siswa melakukan tanya jawab terkait hal yang diamati. (3) menalar, siswa mengolah data yang diperoleh dari kegiatan menanya untuk memperoleh kesimpulan. (4) mencoba, siswa mengerjakan LKS secara berkelompok. (5) mengkomunikasikan, siswa bersama kelompoknya mempresen-tasikan hasil kerja kelompoknya di depan kelas. Kata kunci: Pendekatan Saintifik, Meningkatkan Pemahaman, Jarak Dalam Ruang Dimensi Tiga. Abstract: This study aims to obtain a description of the application of the scientific approach to enhance students' understanding on the main topic within the distance insolid geometry space in the class X MIA 2 MAN 1 Palu. This research is a classroom action research. The research design refers to the design of research Kemmis and Mc. Taggart, namely planning, action and observation, and reflection. This research was conducted in two cycles. The results showed that the apply of the scientific approach can enhance students' understanding on he main topic within the solid geometry space by following these steps: (1) observe, students observe pictures, events or objects around which shows the distance in three-dimensional space. (2) ask, researchers and students conduct a question and answer related to that observed. (3) reasoning, the students process the data obtained from the activities ask for the conclusion. (4) try, students worked in groups LKS. (5) communicating, the student and his group presented the group's work to the class. Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk memperoleh deskripsi penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi gradien di kelas VIII A1 SMP Negeri 14 Palu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang mengacu pada desain penelitian Kemmis dan Mc.Taggart, yakni perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi gradien di kelas VIII A1 SMP Negeri 14 Palu yaitu dengan fase-fase sebagai berikut: 1) memberikan orientasi, guru menjelaskan aturan main dalam menggunakan model pembelajaran TPS dan batasan waktu untuk tiap fase kepada siswa, 2) think (berfikir secara individu), guru memberikan LKS kepada seluruh siswa dan siswa mengerjakan LKS secara individu, 3) pair (berpasangan), guru mengelompokkan siswa secara heterogen berdasarkan hasil tes awal, 4) share (berbagi jawaban dengan pasangan lain) guru meminta setiap kelompok berbagi dengan kelompok lain tentang hasil diskusi mereka dan 5) penghargaan, siswa dinilai secara individu dan kelompok dan siswa yang memiliki skor tertinggi akan diberikan penghargaan. Kata Kunci: Kooperatif; Think Pair Share; Hasil Belajar; Gradien. Abstract: The purpose of this research was to obtain a description that applying cooperative learning type Think Pair Share (TPS) that can Improve Student’s Learning out comes on gradient material in class VIII A1 SMP Negeri 14 Palu.This research is classroom action research which refers to Kemmis’ and Mc.Taggart’s research design that including are planning, doing, observation and reflection. The results of the research showed that the application of cooperative learning type TPS can improve student’s learning outcomes on gradient material in class VIII A1 SMP Negeri 14 Palu, it follow the phases: 1) provide orientation,the teacher explains the rules of the game in using application learning of TPS and the time limit for each phase to the students, 2) think (individual thinking) the teacher distributes LKS to all students and students working individually, 3) pair (pairs) teachers classify students heterogeneously based on initial test results, 4) share (share answer with other partner) the teacher asks each group to share with other groups about the results of their discussion and 5) awards, students are assessed individually and groups and students who have the highest score will be awarded. Abstract

Students' concept understanding needs to be profiled so that teachers can find out the level of description and understanding of students' mathematical concepts. The purpose of this study was to describe how the understanding of students of SMP Negeri Model Integrated Madani Palu in understanding the concept of pythagorean theorem in terms of cognitive style Field Independent (FI) and Field Dependent (FD). This type of research is descriptive with qualitative approach. The subjects in this study were students of class VIII Kihajar Dewantra SMP Negeri Model Integrated Madani Palu consisting of one student cognitive style Field Independent and one student cognitive style Field Dependent selected based on the results of the GEFT test. The instruments used in this study were GEFT test, concept understanding questions and interview guidelines. The results showed that students with Field Independent cognitive style can solve problems well based on indicators of concept understanding compared to students with Gield Dependent cognitive style. Based on these conditions, in the learning process the teacher should pay attention to the learning model used in learning activities

Abstract

This study aims to describe the thought process of students in solving problems in terms of personality types guardian and idealist in class XI SMA Negeri 5 Palu. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The main instrument in this research is the researcher himself and supporting instruments are The Keirsey Temperament Sorter (KTS), math the problems, and interviews. The results of this study show that guardian students and idealist students are able to perform all stages of the thinking process in solving math problems, namely receiving information, processing information, and forming conclusions. Guardian and idealist students at the stage of receiving information read the problem well. Guardian students read enough once to understand the problem, while idealist students read repeatedly to understand the problem. At the information processing stage, guardian students can explain the problem solving plan while idealist students have difficulty explaining the solution plan. At the conclusion formation stage, guardian students consistently solve the problem according to what was previously planned. idealist students at the conclusion formation stage can solve the problem even though at the information processing stage they cannot explain the solution plan.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain an overview of the critical thinking skills of male and female students in class VII A SMPN 9 Palu on fraction addition material. This research aims to: 1) to obtain a description of the critical thinking ability of male students on the addition and subtraction of fractions 2) to obtain a description of the critical thinking ability of female students on the addition and subtraction of fractions. This type of research is descriptive using a qualitative approach. The subjects of this research were 2 students taken from 31 students of class VII A SMPN 9 Palu consisting of 1 male student with high mathematics ability and 1 female student with high mathematics ability. The results of this study showed that male and female subjects with high mathematics ability were able to fulfill the indicators of critical thinking ability by Facione (2015), namely: (1) can interpret the problem by identifying the information known and asked appropriately and able to interpret and understand the symbols contained in the problem, (2) connect between statements, questions and concepts by making mathematical modeling appropriately (3) determine and use the right strategy in the calculation process so as to find the right final solution, (4) able to draw conclusions from what is asked in the problem, and (5) have the awareness to re-examine the solution of the problem given by identifying errors in determining the strategy or in the calculation process and then being able to believe the answer.

Abstract

This type of research is a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects in this research are class X MIPA 1 MAN Donggalastudents, consisting of 4 people, each two male students and two female students, who have FI cognitive style and FD cognitive style. Written assignments and interviews obtained data on students' communication skills. The results of the research show that the mathematical communication skills of students who have a Fielddependent cognitive style are less capable than men because they cannot achieve all the indicators. The student subject has a Field Dependent female cognitive style, which is quite capable because it achieves one. The student subject has a Field Independent male cognitive style, which is quite capable because it achieves two indicators. The student subject has a Field Independent female cognitive style that is capable of achieving all three indicators. The conclusion obtained from this research is that students' mathematical communication abilities are generally said to be poor. The majority of students have not met several indicators of the three indicators of students' mathematical communication abilities. This condition can be seen with only one student achieving all three indicators.
