Abstract

The implementation of local environmental policies is not solely determined by formal regulations , but also by the discretionary behavior of public employees as policy implementers . This study aims to analyze the role of Organizational Citizenship Behavior for the Environment (OCB Green) in supporting the implementation of Sigi Regency Regulation No. 4 of 2019 on Sigi Hijau at the Environmental Agency of Sigi Regency. A qualitative descriptive approach with a constructivist paradigm was employed . Data were collected through in- depth interviews , field observations , and document analysis involving eight informants selected using snowball sampling. Thematic analysis was conducted based on three OCB Green dimensions : eco- initiatives , eco- helping , and eco- civic engagement . The findings reveal that policy implementation is significantly strengthened by employees ' extra-role behaviors . Eco- initiatives enhance internalization of environmental values , eco- helping reinforces a green organizational culture , and eco- civic engagement extends policy impacts to the community . These results indicate that OCB Green functions as an informal mechanism bridging formal policy and practical implementation , thereby improving the effectiveness of local environmental governance

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of multiple roles on employee performance; the effect of work discipline on employee performance; the influence of various roles on employee performance with motivation as a moderating variable; and the impact of work discipline on employee performance with motivation as a moderating variable. The research applies a quantitative method and utilizes SEM-PLS for hypothesis testing. Purposive sampling was used based on specific criteria, yielding a sample of 42 individuals. The results showed that multiple roles negatively and significantly affected employee performance (p < 0.05). Work discipline significantly and positively influenced employee performance (p < 0.05; p = 0.021). Motivation, as a moderating variable, enhanced the effects of multiple roles and work discipline on employee performance (p < 0.05)

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze and examine the effect of improving competitiveness on the career development of Generation Z students in the Management Department at Universitas Tadulako. Methodology: This research applied a quantitative approach using a simple random sampling method with 70 respondents from a population of 229 students in the 2021 cohort. Primary data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using simple linear regression with SPSS 25.0. Results: The findings demonstrate that competitiveness, measured through both soft and hard skills, has a positive and significant influence on career development. Students who actively improve their technical expertise, adaptability, and interpersonal abilities are more likely to advance their careers. Conclusions: Enhancing competitiveness significantly contributes to the career development of Generation Z students. Educational institutions play a crucial role in providing relevant curricula, training, and practical experiences that strengthen both technical and interpersonal competencies to meet labor market demands. Limitations: The study is limited by its relatively small sample size (70 respondents) and the use of a single predictor variable. This constrains the generalization of the findings and excludes other relevant factors, such as curriculum quality, internships, mentoring, and labor market conditions. Contribution: This study enriches the literature on career development by emphasizing the importance of integrating soft and hard skills to enhance competitiveness among Generation Z. It provides practical insights for universities and policymakers to design strategies that align education with labor market requirements.

Abstract

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to examine the effect of green transformational leadership education grounded in local wisdom on sustainable performance, with green behavior positioned as a mediating variable among employees at PT Indonesia Morowali Industrial Park (IMIP). Method: An explanatory quantitative research design was employed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The sample consisted of 100 employees, determined based on the ten-times rule relative to the number of measurement indicators. Data were collected through structured online questionnaires and field observations. The measurement model was evaluated using convergent validity, discriminant validity, and reliability testing, while the structural model was assessed through path coefficients, R², Q², and hypothesis testing using bootstrapping procedures. Results: The findings indicate that green transformational leadership education based on local wisdom has a positive and significant direct effect on sustainable performance (β = 0.519; T = 7.433; p < 0.001) and on green behavior (β = 0.661; T = 11.749; p < 0.001). Green behavior also significantly influences sustainable performance (β = 0.359; T = 4.613; p < 0.001). Furthermore, green behavior partially mediates the relationship between green transformational leadership education and sustainable performance (β = 0.238; T = 4.195; p < 0.001). The model explains 64.5% of the variance in sustainable performance and demonstrates strong predictive relevance (Q² = 0.80). Novelty:This study offers empirical evidence on the behavioral mechanism through which green transformational leadership education embedded in local wisdom enhances sustainable performance. Distinct from existing literature that applies Western-centric frameworks, this research demonstrates that integrating indigenous values such as metapoko-pokofali and mefalo-falo into leadership education strengthens the internalization of pro-environmental behavior. By positioning green behavior as a partial mediating construct, the research provides a contextualized model for strengthening long-term organizational performance in resource-intensive industrial settings.
