Abstract

The Society 5.0 era brings a big challenge for Indonesia to maintain the nation's identity in the midst of globalization. The alpha generation, which relies on technology, shows a decline in national values. This research aims to increase the national commitment of students at SMA N 1 Mejobo Kudus through the guidance of a hybrid group with cognitive restructuring techniques. The research method uses a pre-experimental design of one group pretest-posttest with data collection through interviews, observations, and scales. The results of the wilcoxon signed rank test showed a significant increase in the average score of national commitment from 131.375 (low category) to 254.125 (very high category), with a probability value of 0.012. This increase of 122.75% shows that hybrid group guidance services with cognitive restructuring techniques are effective in strengthening national commitment. This approach has been proven to help students change their mindset and build a more positive and responsible character. Therefore, subsequent researchers are advised to expand the scope of this study by involving larger groups or using more diverse approaches to test the effectiveness of these techniques in different contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of local cultural understanding on counseling quality, with client engagement as a mediating variable. The background of this research is based on the importance of cultural understanding in counseling practice. The research design used is a correlational design with a quantitative approach. The subjects of the study consist of 100 respondents, including 50 counselors and 50 clients who have previously been involved in counseling (purposive sampling). The research instruments used include questionnaires that measure local cultural understanding, counseling quality, and client engagement, which have been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was conducted using multiple regression to test the effect of local cultural understanding on counseling quality, as well as mediation analysis to evaluate the role of client engagement. The results of the study indicate that local cultural understanding has a positive and significant effect on counseling quality (? = 0.45, p < 0.01), and client engagement serves as a mediator in this relationship. This study recommends that counselors develop a deeper understanding of their clients' local cultures and encourage active client engagement in the counseling process to enhance service effectiveness.

Abstract

Mental health in the younger generation is essential to have. However, guidance and counseling undergraduate students who face mental health problems are not all willing to seek help. The low intention to seek help among guidance and counseling undergraduate students is thought to be influenced by a lack of knowledge about mental health and low self-efficacy. The condition of not seeking help results in losses for oneself, the community and the nation's future. The research aims to determine the influence of mental health knowledge and self-efficacy on intentions to seek help. The research used a quantitative design and data analysis using linear regression assisted by SPSS 26. The population of this research is guidance and counseling students. Researchers used purposive sampling and obtained 194 respondents willing to participate in the research. Researchers used three instruments. On the Mental Health Knowledge Schedule scale, the validity level moves from .391 - .870 with a reliability of .896. The general self-efficacy scale with the validity value moves from .450 - .731 and a reliability of .868. The intention to seek help scale with scores ranging from .668 - .845 and a reliability of .887. The research results are: (1) there is an influence between mental health knowledge and intention to seek help, (2) there is no influence between self-efficacy and intention to seek help, (3) there is a correlation between mental health knowledge and self-efficacy, (4) there is no influence between mental health knowledge and self-efficacy on intention to seek help. Suggestions for further research need to reduce the stigma of mental health problems, expand access to mental health assistance and increase undergraduate students' trust in the professional competence of mental health professionals in the educational environment so that undergraduate students are willing to take advantage of access to assistance.

Abstract

Communication anxiety is a significant challenge among elementary school students, especially following changes in interaction patterns due to technological advancements and the COVID-19 pandemic. This condition can hinder children's social and emotional development if not detected and addressed early. This study aims to analyze the validity and reliability of a communication anxiety instrument for elementary school students as a foundation for designing appropriate educational services and interventions. This research employed a quantitative approach with an instrument validation study design. The research subjects were elementary school students selected through purposive sampling, who also served as the instrument trial participants. Data collection methods included questionnaires, documentation, and literature review, using a communication anxiety questionnaire as the research instrument. Data analysis involved Pearson Product Moment validity testing and Cronbach's Alpha reliability testing. The results showed that all 14 instrument items had correlation values greater than 0.361, indicating that they were valid. Furthermore, the Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.886 indicated high reliability. Therefore, the instrument is suitable for identifying levels of communication anxiety among elementary school students. These findings highlight the importance of early detection of communication anxiety to support children's social-emotional development. The implication of this study suggests that a valid and reliable instrument can assist teachers, counselors, and parents in designing more effective communication intervention programs.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to identify accessibility violations on the official website of the X Regency Government by referring to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA level standards. The study adopts a descriptive quantitative method with a case study approach. Testing was conducted through an audit using aXe DevTools on the website's main page, so that each finding could be classified based on four accessibility principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR). The test results showed 35 accessibility violations, consisting of 17 Critical categories and 18 Serious categories. No violations were identified under the Moderate or Minor categories. The largest finding was in the Perceivable principle, specifically related to the lack of alternative text on image elements and low color contrast. In addition, in the Operable principle, problems were found in the form of links without clear descriptive text and difficulties in using keyboard-based navigation. These accessibility issues suggest that the website does not fully comply with WCAG 2.1 AA standards, which may hinder inclusive access to public digital services. Thus, the level of accessibility compliance of the X Regency Government website is still not optimal. Improvements need to be made through technical and policy approaches. From a technical perspective, developers must ensure the addition of appropriate alternative text, improvements to color contrast ratios, and optimization of link structures and navigation features. From a policy perspective, continuous training for developers and sustainable governance measures are crucial to maintaining accessibility compliance. By strengthening developer capacity and implementing sustainable policies, local government websites can move towards more inclusive, responsive, and user-friendly digital public services for all users, including those with disabilities. In conclusion, this study highlights the importance of accessibility
