Abstract

This study examines the application of law in addressing corruption cases within schools from a sociological perspective, focusing on their impacts and solutions. Corruption in the education sector leads to significant societal and state losses, with primary causes including weak oversight from the Ministry of Education and related institutions. The research employs a normative juridical method, emphasizing legal norms to analyze the role of law in combating corruption in educational environments. The findings reveal a continuous rise in corruption cases in Indonesian schools, adversely affecting education quality, creating inequities in access to education, and eroding public trust in educational institutions. Identified contributing factors include insufficient supervision, lack of transparency in fund management, economic pressures, and a permissive culture toward corrupt practices. To address these issues, preventive measures such as enhancing financial transparency, strengthening oversight through school committees and independent bodies, and integrating anti-corruption education into curricula are essential. Cooperation with anti-corruption agencies and public engagement in monitoring efforts further support these initiatives. Effective regulation and enforcement, coupled with a commitment to integrity, are critical to fostering a corruption-free educational environment. This study underscores the importance of comprehensive and collaborative strategies in promoting transparency and accountability within the education sector.

Abstract

Online gambling is a phenomenon that is increasingly widespread in Indonesia and has significant social and economic impacts. This research aims to analyse the effectiveness of law enforcement against online gambling practices based on juridical and sociological perspectives. The method used is a normative juridical approach by analysing the applicable laws and regulations, such as the Criminal Code, ITE Law, and government policies in dealing with online gambling. Data was collected through literature study and interviews with law enforcement officials and cyber law experts. The results show that although the existing regulations are quite comprehensive, their implementation still faces obstacles, such as the lack of coordination between law enforcement agencies, technological limitations in detecting and blocking online gambling sites, and weak enforcement of sanctions against perpetrators. From a sociological perspective, the high rate of community participation in online gambling is influenced by economic factors and low digital literacy. In conclusion, a more effective strategy is needed to tackle online gambling, including strengthening regulations, increasing the capacity of law enforcement officials, and educating the public to raise awareness of the dangers of online gambling.

Abstract

Domestic violence (DV) is a serious social issue that has a significant impact on the mental health of victims. The psychological impact of domestic violence can include post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, and various other mental health problems that can hinder the well-being and productivity of victims. Addressing domestic violence requires a comprehensive approach, involving both legal and sociological perspectives. The legal approach aims to protect victims through laws and regulations that regulate sanctions against perpetrators and protective measures for victims. Meanwhile, the sociological approach focuses on understanding the social factors that influence the occurrence of domestic violence, such as cultural norms, gender inequality, and economic conditions, as well as providing social support to assist victims in the recovery process. This research examines in depth the impact of domestic violence on the mental health of victims and evaluates the effectiveness of the application of legal and sociological approaches in handling it. The results of this study are expected to serve as a basis for strengthening policies and intervention programs that are more effective in supporting victim recovery and reducing the incidence of domestic violence in the community.
