Abstract

Background: One of the complications that occurs in DM patients is the occurrence of chronic wounds. The use of Human Amnion Membrane (hAM) has been identified as a promising natural option for the treatment of skin lesions, including burns and diabetes mellitus. This hAM contains an extracellular matrix (ECM) with components such as growth factors, collagen, and proteoglycans as anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial in wounds. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of hAMD hydrogel treatment on wound closure in mice induced by alloxan macroscopically and microscopically on days 3, 7, 14, and 21. Method: This research method, experimental using mice divided into 4 treatment groups, namely negative control (healthy group without treatment, DM without treatment), internal control (DM treatment carbopol) and DM treatment hAMD. Measurement of wound area (macroscopic), histology processing (Hematoxylin Eosin), reading of histology preparations (microscopic) and Two-way ANOVA test analysis using Graphpad Prism 10 was carried out. Results: The results of the study from 4 treatment groups where in the healthy group without treatment on the 21st day the wound closure was complete, the DM group without treatment on the 21st day the wound closure was not yet completely closed, in the DM carbopol treatment group on the 14th day the wound closure was not yet completely closed, and in the DM hAMD treatment group 15% on the 14th day the wound closure had closed completely. This is in line with the results of statistical and histological analysis. Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that the effect of human amnion membrane hydrogel can heal diabetes mellitus skin wounds faster compared to the control group. Keywords: Diabetes Mellitus, Hydrogel, Extracellular Matrix, Amniotic Membrane.

Abstract

The family has a central role in shaping an individual's personality and character. The family environment, as the first educational institution, provides the basis for social interaction, behaviour, and understanding of social norms. Good parenting patterns support the formation of a positive personality, while poor parenting patterns can result in deviant behaviour in adolescents. This research aims to identify the role of law in observing the influence of the family on the formation of individual personalities. The research method uses a qualitative and normative juridical approach by referring to previous literature. The results of the discussion show that the family has a significant impact on personality formation, and the law has an important role as an instrument of supervision. However, the implementation of the role of law is not yet fully effective, especially in the context of education and parenting programs. Increasing access to education, strengthening parenting programs, and improving legal regulations are the keys to forming a quality generation. Therefore, this research highlights the important role of the family, as well as the need for improvements in the legal and educational systems to support the vision of Indonesia 2045.

Abstract

Prisoners are people who are serving a sentence or criminal period in a correctional institution, but the human rights of prisoners must also be protected. However, prisoners are also part of those who have rights as human beings, including the right to live life, the right to receive welfare, and also have the right to obtain health services. The rights of prisoners are even regulated in law number 22 of 2022 concerning correctional facilities. In addition to physical health, there is mental health that is vulnerable to threats to prisoners. The importance of mental health in relation to the law relates to several issues, including the difficulty of individuals to provide accurate testimony, the consideration of mental capacity in the judicial process, as well as the protection of the rights of mentally ill individuals. This research explores the intersection between mental health, law, and rehabilitation in the context of prisoners. The main focus is to evaluate the challenges that arise in fulfilling prisoners' mental health service rights through the existing legal and rehabilitation systems. Through an interdisciplinary approach, this research seeks an in-depth understanding of how legal factors and the detention environment can affect the mental health of inmates. This approach includes prevention, diagnosis and intervention measures covering medical, psychological, social and legal aspects. The research seeks to provide a basis for policy change that supports the rights of individuals with mental illness, promotes fairness in the justice system, and reduces stigmatisation associated with mental health in legal contexts.

Abstract

In Cianjur Regency, Motor Vehicle Tax is one of the main sources of revenue. To increase the collection of this tax, one of the steps taken is the Motor Vehicle Tax Amnesty program. Compliance of Taxpayers has become a major issue that needs to be addressed in order to enhance Taxpayer awareness in paying taxes. Therefore, this research focuses on understanding how the Motor Vehicle Tax Amnesty policy affects Taxpayer awareness and compliance in Cianjur Regency, as well as the steps taken in its implementation. This study uses a qualitative method by collecting data related to the research objects and compiling it into a clear report. From 2021 to 2024, the revenue from Motor Vehicle Tax in Cianjur Regency continued to increase, especially after the tax amnesty policy was implemented. This indicates that taxpayers in Cianjur still have awareness of their obligation to pay taxes, and various efforts made have received a positive response regarding the importance of tax contributions.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the regulatory weaknesses and practical implications of legal protection for whistleblowers in Indonesian corruption cases. Its primary focus is to evaluate the effectiveness of the existing legal framework, particularly concerning overlapping authority among state institutions. Using a juridical-empirical (socio-legal) approach, this study combines a normative legal analysis of statutes with an in-depth case study of 47 corruption reports filed between 2018 and 2023 to assess its practical implementation. The findings reveal that legal protection remains highly inadequate. Regulatory overlaps between the Witness and Victim Protection Law (UU PSK), the KPK Law, and Supreme Court Regulation No. 4 of 2011 create legal uncertainty and institutional confusion. Empirically, 68% of whistleblowers in the analyzed cases faced retaliation, ranging from intimidation to criminalization, which directly deters public reporting. This study concludes that piecemeal reforms are insufficient. A comprehensive overhaul is required, structured around a three-dimensional model: integrated regulatory reform, strengthening the institutional capacity of the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) as the central pillar of protection, and transforming the legal culture. A hybrid approach combining full protection with reasonable incentives is recommended to foster a safe ecosystem and encourage public participation in combating corruption.

Abstract

The Citarum River is a strategic resource for millions of West Java residents, supporting household, agricultural, fishery, and industrial needs. However, heavy pollution from industrial, agricultural, and domestic waste causes ecological damage and threatens the community's fundamental rights to health, clean water, and a healthy environment. This background underlies the importance of studying environmental law enforcement in the Citarum River Basin, considering the close relationship between human rights perspectives and criminal law provisions. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of environmental law enforcement in Indonesia, specifically in the Citarum pollution case, and compare it with the experience of the United Kingdom in the Thames River case and India in the Ganges River case. The method used is a juridical-normative approach with a comparative approach, through a review of legislation, court decisions, and national and international academic literature. The results show that environmental law enforcement in Indonesia still tends to be administrative and civil, thus not providing an adequate deterrent effect for polluters. In contrast, the United Kingdom has succeeded in strengthening compliance through strict criminal sanctions, while India emphasizes pollution as a violation of citizens' constitutional rights. The conclusion of this study is the need for an integrative model that combines criminal liability with human rights protection, so that environmental law enforcement in Indonesia can be more effective, fair, and sustainable, particularly in efforts to restore the Citarum River.
