Abstract

social media has become an integral part of everyday life, bringing about positive impacts but also posing significant legal challenges. This research delves into the legal aspects of the social media era, particularly concerning the protection of citizens from information misuse. The phenomena of spreading false information, defamation, and insults are increasingly alarming, challenging the existing legal framework. This study aims to identify and analyze the legal challenges emerging in the era of social media, focusing on the protection of citizens from information misuse. The research employs a descriptive method with a qualitative approach to identify relevant legal frameworks. The analysis techniques include document analysis, comparison, and information synthesis. The result of the study highlights weaknesses in the existing legal framework and suggests policy updates to address emerging challenges. It is hoped that this research contributes to enhancing legal protection for citizens facing the risks of information misuse in the era of social media.

Abstract

Bangunan dan infrastruktur dapat mengalami kerusakan yang signifikan akibat gempa. Untuk memitigasi dampaknya, perencana harus mempertimbangkan desain bangunan agar memiliki kekakuan yang cukup terhadap gaya lateral. Saat mendesain bangunan yang memiliki ketahanan terhadap gaya lateral, dinding geser merupakan komponen struktural yang dapat menjadi alternatif dalam perencanaannya. Dinding geser berfungsi meningkatkan kekakuan dan menerima gaya geser akibat gempa, struktur dinding geser biasanya dipasang pada bagian terluar bangunan atau di sekitar area tangga atau lift. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meninjau pengaruh variasi penempatan dinding geser terhadap respons seismik bangunan berdasarkan SNI 1726:2019. Metode penelitian menggunakan analisis dinamis respon spektrum dengan membandingkan tiga layout dinding geser. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa semua variasi tata letak dinding geser memenuhi syarat periode struktur rencana, prinsip dual sistem, dan simpangan bangunan. Namun, hanya layout 1 yang tidak memenuhi syarat bentuk dan jumlah ragam karena didominasi rotasi pada mode pertama. Tata letak dinding geser dengan layout 2 dan 3 menunjukkan performa yang lebih baik dalam memenuhi syarat kegempaan dengan nilai periode getar tidak melebihi periode izin (1,260 detik), bentuk ragam didominasi translasi pada mode pertama dan kedua, prinsip dual sistem tercapai karena rangka menerima >25% gaya gempa rencana, serta nilai simpangan tidak melebihi nilai simpangan izin (Δmax = 61.54mm).

Abstract

Disharmonious of dental arrangement can possibly create problems for the patient, such as the masticatory function, esthetical, psychosocial, and also the increased risk of trauma and periodontal disease. These are reasons for a patient to seek orthodontic treatment. The aim of this study was to know the patient’s knowledge about the side effects possibility that they receive during orthodontic treatment. The side effects include pain experience during orthodontic treatment, the possibility of soft tissue damage, email demineralization, loss of tooth vitality, periodontal problem, root resorption, temporomandibular joint disorders, and relapse. A cross-sectional study was conducted in patients who registered at Orthodontic Department, Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Indonesia on March-June 2009. The participants of this study were 100 patients, consist of 86 women and 14 men respectively. Twenty-seven questions about the side-effects of orthodontic treatment were used to obtain the patient’s knowledge and the result was categorized into 3 groups, good, average and poor. The result of the study showed that patient’s knowledge about the side effect of pain experience during orthodontic treatment was average and the patient’s knowledge about the possibility of soft tissue damage due to orthodontic treatment was good. However, the patient’s knowledge about the possibility of email demineralization, loss of tooth vitality, periodontal problem, root resorption, temporomandibular joint disorders and relapse due to orthodontic treatment was low.

Abstract

Abstract Domestic violence (DV) is a serious problem. Domestic violence can occur in various forms, including physical, psychological, sexual, and economic. This study discusses legal protection for victims of domestic violence (DV) in Indonesia, using a sociological analysis approach and its legal implications. Although there is Law Number 23 of 2004 concerning the Elimination of Domestic Violence (UU PKDRT), its implementation and enforcement still encounter various obstacles. This study highlights the factors that influence the effectiveness of legal protection for victims of domestic violence, including sociological aspects that influence public perception of domestic violence, stigma against victims, and the role of law enforcement institutions. Through qualitative analysis methods, this study reveals that legal protection for victims of domestic violence is not optimal due to various obstacles such as lack of understanding of law enforcement officers, minimal social support, and cultural pressures that often prevent victims from reporting cases. The role of family law in handling domestic violence includes prevention, handling, and recovery. Therefore, the government needs to increase awareness and strengthen legal protection for victims of domestic violence, as well as increase education about domestic violence in the community. Keywords: Domestic violence (KDRT), Causal factors, Impact, Legal protection Abstrak Tindak kekerasan dalam rumah tangga (KDRT) merupakan masalah serius. KDRT dapat terjadi dalam berbagai bentuk, termasuk fisik, psikologis, seksual, dan ekonomi. Penelitian ini membahas perlindungan hukum bagi korban kekerasan dalam rumah tangga (KDRT) di Indonesia, dengan pendekatan analisis sosiologis dan implikasi hukumnya. Meskipun telah terdapat Undang-Undang Nomor 23 Tahun 2004 tentang Penghapusan Kekerasan dalam Rumah Tangga (UU PKDRT), implementasi dan penegakannya masih menemui berbagai kendala. Penelitian ini menyoroti faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi efektifitas perlindungan hukum bagi korban KDRT, termasuk aspek sosiologis yang mempengaruhi persepsi masyarakat terhadap KDRT, stigma terhadap korban, dan peran institusi penegak hukum. Melalui metode analisis kualitatif, penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa perlindungan hukum terhadap korban KDRT belum optimal karena berbagai hambatan seperti kurangnya pemahaman aparat penegak hukum, minimnya dukungan sosial, serta tekanan budaya yang sering menghambat korban untuk melaporkan kasus. Peran hukum keluarga dalam penanganan KDRT meliputi pencegahan, penanganan, dan pemulihan. Oleh karena itu, pemerintah perlu meningkatkan kesadaran dan memperkuat perlindungan hukum terhadap korban KDRT, serta meningkatkan edukasi tentang tindak kekerasan di dalam rumah tangga di Masyarakat. Abstract

The phenomenon of contract marriage is a temporary marriage practice commonly occurring in the Jabal Puncak area, involving foreign tourists—particularly from the Middle East—and local women. This practice is often conducted without official registration, leading to various legal and social issues. This research aims to analyze contract marriage from legal and human rights perspectives, as well as examine its connection to the criminal offense of human trafficking (TPPO). The study employs a qualitative approach using literature review methods and analysis of relevant legal and social cases. Data is obtained from legal documents, NGO reports, investigative news. The findings indicate that contract marriage involves the exploitation of women, including violations of their rights to legal protection, economic welfare, and human dignity. This practice is often viewed as a form of disguised prostitution that exploits legal loopholes and weak law enforcement oversight. Although Indonesia has regulations such as Law No. 1 of 1974 on Marriage and the Law on the Eradication of TPPO, their implementation remains suboptimal. In conclusion, this research emphasizes the need for stricter legal reforms, rigorous oversight, and economic empowerment and education programs.
