Abstract

Caring is an important part of nursing process that difficult to be apart. Emergency nursing is a profession that required health care providers with fast performance, accurate, and quality of complicated and holistic problems. A lot of patients with critical condition at emergency department, they ask a quality of nursing services and it is affected by the quality of a nurse caring. Without caring passion, a nurse vulnerable to act that violate ethical of nursing, no exception nursing profession at emergency installations of RSSA Malang. The purpose of this study is to explore the experience of nurse caring for clients with critical condition at emergency installations of RSSA Malang. This study used a qualitative approach, with interpretive phenomenological method. Purposive sampling is a method used in this study, the criteria of experience as nurse in the emergency installations of RSSA Malang at least 5 years, still working in the emergency installations of RSSA Malang, and willing as participant. Using semi-structure interviews technique, and analyzed by Miles and Huberman model approach. The results led to three themes, namely: the resque of critically ill patients, improve patient and family confidence, desire to do the best for crical patients. Based on the results of the study are expected to follow up with the theme of the next study of emergency nurses caring of the perpective of patient and families, and needs to be improved further for the training of emergency skill of nurses in the emergency department, so thet skills and knowledge of nurses in handling critical patients better. Abstract

The high numbers of patients with an angry expression of asertif with a history of violent behavior that average caused hallucinations, need to get attention and serious handling for all parties concerned especially the nurse on duty in rsj dr. Radjiman wediodiningrat lawang. This is because the patients in acute conditions as mentioned above. may harm or threaten the safety of the patient or the safety of others. Research purposes which is to dig experience nurse in giving an orphanage nursing in patients behavior violence caused hallucinations in melati room rsj dr. Radjiman wediodiningrat lawang. The method of this research is to use qualitative research designs with descriptive phenomenology of approach. Participants who participated in this research as many as four people room nurse melati rsj dr. Radjiman wediodiningrat lawang. The result of analisi with the methods colaizzi against the transcript verbatim produce three themes the steps the preformance of the process of nursing, self-awareness, and empathy. A conclusion that obtained from the results of this research is a nurse in to treating a patient behavior violence caused hallucinations there has been a cycle is turning which is that of self- awareness, empathy, and carry out steps in the process of nursing. Abstract

Background: Drug abuse has become a global problem, including in Indonesia, especially Yogyakarta. Yogyakarta is the province with the highest prevalence of drug abuse among students in Indonesia. Usage of drugs has a negative impact on health both physically and psychologically. However, based on preliminary studies, drug users continue to use the substance, althought they know its effect. The client experience of drug dependence when first trying the substance is interesting to look at. Objective: The aim of this study was to explore the experiences of the pearticipant in their early stage of drug addiction in Sleman Regency. Methods: The study method used qualitative with design of phenomenology intepretif, and use method of IPA as method of data analysis. Results: Based on the results of the analysis of the phenomenology intepretif of the 9 participants obtained the theme of the results are as follows: Trying to be part of the world of drugs and drug self-control. Conclusion: Someone uses drugs due to various things one of them improves self-existence. For future research is expected to take place at BNN or hospital to see a different experience. Abstract

Criminality is a serious problem having not been saved up to now. Narcotics cases are increasing every year and most of them done by the same person. This recurrent criminality is happened because of both the difficulty of getting on employment access and the lack of moral support from the community. Nursing as a professional job in healthcare especially Psychiatric Nursing is obliged to assist people with psychosocial problems including ex-prisoners of narcotics abuser. They return to the community with a lot of meaningful experiences and problems with no other people have. The purpose of this study was to discover the meaning of their experience when returning to their society. With qualitative research of interpretive phenomenology approach, in-depth-interview was done for six ex-prisoners of narcotics abusers as participants selected by purposive sampling method. The study was conducted in June 2017 in Kabupaten Kediri. Interpretative Phenomenology Analysis (IPA) was used to analyze the data and found 8 themes; guilty feeling to the family, leaving fate in life, getting moral support to improve their life better, getting ashamed for what they have ever done, feeling unworthy in the community, being given to do better, feeling not given the opportunity to do better, and not having a desire to the narcotics. From all these themes, it can be concluded that the shame and guilty feeling causes them to fate in life. The support of the community and a chance to better makes a strong intention to leave narcotics. They must have a tough struggle to gain a better life when returning to their community.

Abstract

Pentingnya bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa internasional sangat dibutuhkan untuk menunjang pekerjaan dan berkomunikasi sebagai perawat, mengingat pasien datang dari berbagai latarbelakang termasuk berbicara berbagai bahasa. Berdasarkan kondisi yakni kurang lebih terdapat lima pasien asing yang berobat di rumah sakit Lavallete setiap minggunya, beberapa perawatmengalami kendala berkomunikasi sehingga tidak dapat menangani pasien dengan cepat dantepat dan perawat yang mampu berkomunikasi dalam bahasa Inggris terbatas tiga orang danperawat tersebut tidak setiap saat mendapatkan giliran jaga sehingga perlu dicarikan solusi yaituberupa pelatihan percakapan bahasa Inggris khususnya bahasa Inggris untuk tujuan khusus.Dengan materi greeting for nurses, useful expression for admission, nursing instruction, givingprocedures dan handling patient complaints melalui teknik yang bervariasi mulai daribrainstorming, modeling, drilling, role play, maupun mini lesson, pelatihan percakapan bahasaInggris diadakan untuk perawat di RS Lavalette.Kata Kunci: percakapan bahasa Inggris, perawat, bahasa Inggris untuk tujuan khusus

Abstract

Background: Balinese believe that mental disorders are caused after being possessed and cursed by one’s ancestors, so Balinese choose traditional Balinese treatment (balian/shaman) in handling patients with mental disorders. Objective: The purpose of this research was to explore deeply about the use of balian in treating patients with mental disorder. Methods: A qualitative method with an interpretive phenomenological approach was used. In-depth interview technique with semi-structured interview guidelines was used for data collection. Data were analyzed using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) approach. Results: Five themes emerged, including 1) ancestors’ curse, 2) possessed by a spirit, 3) believe that balian has healing power, 4) balian becomes the first choice prior to the hospital, and 5) the use of traditional and medical treatment at once. Conclusion: Balian became the first choice in treating patients with mental disorders. It is because Balinese still believes that mental disorders caused by the ancestors’ curse and possessed by the spirit.

Abstract

Apology Strategies is a study of speech act investigating how people use language as a mean to repair certain condition between speaker and hearer. There are many ways for people to deliver an apology. We often experience and hear a speaker apologizes without saying the word “sorry” or “apologize”. This article discusses Chad Griffin’s apology as the HRC (Human Right Campaign) leader to the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) Community. The result of this research shows that there are twenty-one apology utterances delivered by Chad Griffin. From those utterances there are ten utterances are identified as belong to the category of Indirect Apology strategy, thirteen utterances belong to the category of Remedial Support, three utterances belong to Direct Apology Strategy and only one utterance is as Evasive Strategy.

Abstract

The restraint and seclusion could worsen condition of patients with mental disorder on several aspects as physical, psychological, and social. Objective: To identify the effects or impacts of restraint and seclusion behavior on patients with mental disorder. This systematic review was initiated to identify literatures on scientific articles which have been published between 2009-2019 in three databases as ProQuest, pubmed, and Sciencedirect. The selection was conducted in PRISMA flow-diagram and criticized through JBI tool. After 10 relevant articles were collected, they would be analyzed to be a systematic review. Most of ten researches illustrated to negative effects on physical and psychosocial aspects as a consequence of restraint and seclusion on patients with mental disorder. A few of positive effects have been also felt, but was not comparable to the negative effect. The implementation of restraint and seclusion behavior could worsen the condition of patients which became a consideration for the health officer to do intervention of restrain and seclusion on patients with mental disorder.

Abstract

ABSTRAK             Mekanisme koping merupakan upaya yang dilakukanuntukmengadaptasi stresor,dan dalam pelaksanaannya dapat dilakukan secara konstruktifmaupundestruktif. Anggota keluarga yang merawat anak skizofrenia memerlukan mekanisme koping agar tidak jatuh dalam kondisi stres. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi mekanisme koping anggota keluarga yang merawat anak skizofrenia (13-18 tahun).Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Gresik bulan Juli 2015. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan paradigma fenomenologi interpretif. Pemilihan partisipan dengan purposive sampling sebanyak 7 partisipan. Dengan kriteria partisipan: (1) memiliki pengalaman merawat anak skizofrenia minimal 1 tahun, (2) sehat secara fisik dan psikologis, (3) bersedia ikut sebagai partisipan, (4) dapat menceritakan pengalamannya dengan baik. Analisis data menurut Van Manen (1990) (1) Mempertahankan keaslian dari pengalaman hidup atau fenomena(2) Menginvestigasi pengalaman yang ada berdasarkan fenomena (3) Merefleksikan tema-tema esensial yang menjadi karakteristik dari sebuah fenomena (4) Mendeskripsikan dan menuliskan ulang fenomena.Hasil dari penelitian ini didapatkan delapan tema yang mewakili bagaimana mekanisme koping anggota keluarga yang merawat anak skizofrenia. Tema terdiri dari gejala skizofrenia sebagai stresor, efek stresor terhadap perasaan, tindakan dalam merawat, perubahan selama merawat, harapan anggota keluarga yang merawat, strategi koping, hambatan anggota keluarga yang merawat dan perilaku adaptasi. Mekanisme koping yang digunakan anggota keluarga didapatkan adanya problem focused coping dan emotional focused coping. Adaptasi yang dilakukan adalah adaptasi adaptif dan maladaptif.Berdasar hasil penelitian ini disarankan bagi anggota keluarga yang merawat anak skizofrenia untuk menggunakan koping yang adaptif, sehingga tetap dapat merawat anak dengan baik. Kata kunci: Mekanisme Koping, Anggota Keluarga, Anak Skizofrenia ABSTRACT                Coping mechanisms is the effort made to adapt to stressors, and the implementation can be done constructively or destructively. Family members who care for children with schizophrenia require coping mechanisms that do not fall under stressful conditions. This study aims to explore the coping mechanisms of family members caring for children skizofrena (13-18 years). In Gresik July 2015.               This research is qualitative using an interpretive phenomenological paradigm.Selection of participants by purposive sampling as much as 7 participants. With participants criteria: (1) have experience taking care of children with schizophrenia at least 1 year, (2) healthy physically and psychologically, (3) are willing to participate as a participant, (4) can recounts well. Analysis of the data by Van Manen (1990) (1) Maintaining the authenticity of the experience of life or phenomena (2) Investigate the experience that is based on the phenomenon (3) Reflects the themes essential characteristic of a phenomenon (4) Describe and rewrite the phenomenon. Results of this study found eight themes that represent how the coping mechanisms of family members who care for children with schizophrenia. The theme consists of the symptoms of schizophrenia as a stressor, the effect of stressors on the feelings, acts of caring, changes during caring, hope family members caring, coping strategies, barriers to family members who care and behavioral adaptations. Coping mechanisms used family members found the problem focused coping and emotional focused coping. Adaptation is done is an adaptation of adaptive and maladaptive. Based on the results of this study suggested for family members who care for children with schizophrenia to use adaptive coping, so it still can care for the child properly. Abstract

Pengembangan pelayanan Puskesmas menjadi Puskesmas Perawatan akan memberikan pengalaman dan perasaan yang berbeda pada setiap perawat di Puskesmas yang mengalami perubahan tersebut. Pengembangan Puskesmas tersebut ditunjukkan dengan adanya pelayanan Unit Gawat Darurat 24 jam yang dapat menangani pasien gawat darurat dan kecelakaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengeksplorasi pengalaman perawat UGD Puskesmas dalam merawat korban kecelakaan lalu lintas. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi deskriptif. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak enam orang perawat Puskesmas Beji Kota Batu. Hasil analisis dengan metode deskriptif terhadap hasil wawancara menghasilkan suatu makna yaitu merasakan ketidakberdayaan pada saat merawat korban kecelakaan lalu lintas di UGD Puskesmas, dan merasakan respon emosional pada proses berubah. Kesimpulan yang didapatkan dari hasil penelitian ini adalah bahwa sistem pelayanan puskesmas telah berubah menjadi lebih kompleks tetapi perubahan itu tidak diikuti dengan perubahan dari sumber daya yang membangun sistem tersebut. Kepala Puskesmas sebaiknya lebih memperhatikan pegawainya sebagai pembangun sistem agar dapat lebih optimal dalam penanganan pasien.
