Abstract

Fertilization sometimes takes a long time due to the selection of mileage traveled in fertilizer distribution and coupled with the condition of  plantation roads that are partially damaged. The path taken is usually only a path that is memorized and is considered the shortest and optimal. The journey from one location to another by considering the shortest path is included in the problem of graph theory. To determine the shortest path to be traversed, you can use the Ant Colony algorithm, because it is optimal in determining short distances and can measure the minimum accumulated travel time close to optimal. This is a Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP) problem, which is visiting all location points starting from the starting point and ending at the starting point again. This research was conducted on oil palm plantations of PT. Socfindo Bangun Bandar in fertilizer distribution. The sample used is 6 location points which are then solved using the Ant Colony algorithm where this algorithm adopts the workings of ants to get the shortest route. The use of the Ant Colony algorithm in this case is limited to one cycle or one iteration (NC=1) so that the best route is obtained while the first cycle is the fertilizer warehouse (V1) to block 55 (V4) then block 63 (V6) to block 61 (V5) then block 51 (V2) to block 52 (V3) and back again to the fertilizer warehouse (V1), and from this route can be modified again to the opposite route with a distance of 15.71 km. Because the resulting distance is shorter than the usual route, this can speed up the time used by trucks to distribute fertilizer so that trucks can be used by workers to transport harvested palm fruit.

Abstract

A mental disorder is a mental dysfunction that can interfere with everyday activities. Based on the characteristics of the area of the City of Medan there are problems with mental disorders, the high number of ODGJ cases is very dangerous for society. To this end, a survival analysis of the ODGJ patient’s lifespan time was carried out at the Karsa Medan Soul Hospital with the Kaplan-Meier test as a calculation of the estimate of the healing time and the Log-Rank test to test the differences in the survival function of the treatment time of ODGJ patients. The conclusion of the test results obtained with the help of the R Studio software program version 2022.02.1+461 was that the survival function curve in ODGJ patients had an estimate of survival functions at ODGJ from a 2-day recovery time with a value of 0.99759 to 92 days with the value of 0,00000. Based on the results of the Log-Rank test with α = 0.05, obtained the test results for gender is 4.40 ˃ 3.84, then rejected , so there is a significant difference, and the results of survival estimation on the first day of male survival opportunities of 0.9931 (99.31%) are greater than women, namely 0.9919 (99. 19%), so that male patients recover longer than female patients; then the result of the Age-based Log-rank test is 2.44 ˂ 3.84, there is no rejection , so there are no significant differences, and the results of survival estimation on the first day of survival opportunities for patients aged  years is 0. 992 (99.2%) is greater than the patient aged  years is 0.986 (98.6%), so that patients aged  years recover faster than patients aged  years; and last Log-Rank results for comorbid and non-comorbid is 27.21 ˃ 3.84, there are rejections , so there is a significant difference, and the results of survival estimation on the first day the survival chance of comorbid patients is 0.9961 (99.61%) greater than that of non-comorbid patients which is 0.9937 (99.37%), so that non-comorbid patients recover faster than comorbid patients.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is a company that distributes cooking oil in Karo Regency. Based on what has been observed at PT. XYZ, the distribution of goods has not contained standard provisions in determining the route of delivery of goods, large areas cause great difficulties in the distribution of goods because they require greater transportation costs. To overcome the distribution problem, a workable solution is the A-Star algorithm using graphs. The A-Star algorithm has two points, namely Open List and Close List.  Where conceptually open list means a point that can be skipped while close list means a point that cannot be passed. And usability the Close List is needed so that the algorithm does not need to check the points it passes, so that it can more quickly complete the search process and the checking process at each point can be less, In general, the concept of determining the closest path in an algorithm is that it can stop when the open list is not found and the endpoint has been obtained. while the company's route was 30.95 km. Then the percentage of mileage savings is 62.16%. This shows that the A-Star algorithm can minimize distance and also save companies costs.

Abstract

Sulfur dioxide (SO2) pollution is a serious problem that negatively affects air quality and human health. So2 is generated by various human activities, especially the combustion of fossil fuels, as well as from natural sources such as volcanic eruptions. The emission of SO2 in urban areas, including Medan, Indonesia, has raised concerns as it is associated with respiratory diseases and the formation of acid rain. This research aimed to estimate comparative SO2 concentrations in Medan City using geostatistical methods, specifically ordinary kriging and inverse distance weighted (IDW). Air quality monitoring data from the Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kota Medan were collected during a certain period. The collected data were analyzed and then interpolated using ordinary kriging and IDW methods. Furthermore, the Ordinary Kriging method involves testing the OK assumption, calculation of the experimental semivariogram, calculation of the theoretical semivariogram, structural analysis, and calculation of Root Mean Square Error (RMSE). Meanwhile, the Inverse Distance Weighted method involves calculating the Euclidean distance, determining the weights based on the power parameter, calculating the RMSE value, and estimating the SO2 concentration. The comparison results show that the OK method is more accurate in determining SO2 concentration compared to the IDW method in Medan City. In the estimation of sulfur dioxide (SO2) concentration, the OK method used the best theoretical semivariogram model, namely the exponential model, and in the estimation process of the IDW method, the power parameter 1 was used.

Abstract

Distribution is a factor that greatly influences the success of a company in selling its products. PT. Medan Jutarasa is a company that operates in the napkin tissue industry and has a Distribution Center (DC) to supply products to distributors. Distribution of products to consumers requires appropriate planning and consideration of which route to use to obtain more time-efficient transportation costs. In the delivery process, the company experienced problems, especially in the distribution route. The Nearest Neighbor algorithm searches for customers to serve based on the shortest distance from the vehicle's last location for further distribution. Meanwhile, the A-Star algorithm finds the shortest path using minimum cost. This research aims to compare the Nearest Neighbor algorithm and the A-Star algorithm to determine the optimal route for distributing tissue napkins by PT. Millionaire Medan. Based on the research results, it was found that the route using the Nearest Neighbor algorithm was more optimal than the A-Star algorithm in the distribution of tissue napkins by PT. Millionaire Medan.

Abstract

This research compares three forecasting methods, namely Single Exponential Smoothing (SES), Double Exponential Smoothing (DES), and Triple Exponential Smoothing (TES), in analyzing the realization of the Medan City Regional Budget (APBD) for the 2019-2024 period. This study aims to find the most accurate method in forecasting the budget, so that it can help optimize the use of APBD by local governments. The APBD realization data was analyzed using Minitab software, and the accuracy of the method was measured based on Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). The results showed that TES has the smallest MAPE value of 0.12%, compared to SES (12%) and DES (14%). Thus, TES is the best method to predict the budget realization in the following year, producing a forecasting value of 5,500.86 million rupiah. This research is expected to support the government in making more precise and efficient budget decisions.
