Abstract

The emergence of independent learning has shifted the educational paradigm in Indonesia, emphasizing a student-centered approach. Consequently, the responsibility for curriculum development has been delegated to schools, enabling them to tailor the curriculum to their local needs and conditions. This research aims to examine the central role of the school principal in leading the implementation of the independent curriculum at MIN 1 Mataram. Utilizing a qualitative research methodology, the study is conducted at MIN 1 Mataram, employing data collection methods including interviews, document analysis, and observations. Primary data sources encompass the school principal, educators, and other stakeholders, while secondary data sources include scholarly journals, online publications, websites, books, and various academic literature. Data analysis follows a systematic approach involving data reduction, presentation, and verification or drawing conclusions. Ensuring the validity of the findings entails assessing internal validity (credibility), external validity (transferability), reliability (dependability), and objectivity (confirmability). Observation findings reveal several challenges, including limited teacher competencies related to the independent curriculum, suboptimal implementation of differentiated learning strategies, and incomplete integration of information technology into various activities, particularly learning processes. In addressing these challenges, the Head of MIN 1 Mataram assumes a multifaceted leadership role encompassing planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the independent learning initiatives within the educational unit.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of using mobile applications in fostering self-awareness and empathy among students in the context of character education. The research method used is quantitative with a survey approach. The research subjects consist of 48 students and 14 teachers from elementary, middle, and high school levels. The research instrument used is a Likert Scale questionnaire, consisting of 14 items for teachers and 20 items for students. Data analysis was conducted using a t-test, which showed that there was no significant difference between the responses given by teachers and students regarding the use of mobile applications in developing self-awareness and empathy. Similarly, there was no significant difference between male and female students in terms of their responses to the application. This research provides an important contribution to the understanding of the potential use of technology, particularly mobile applications, in the context of character education. The practical implication of this study is that educators can utilize mobile applications as an effective tool in shaping students' character, regardless of gender. Further research can deepen the understanding of the factors influencing responses to mobile applications and explore more specific strategies for implementing character education through technology.

Abstract

The aims of this study are: 1) To describe the concept of madrasa principal leadership, 2) madrasa principal leadership governance, 3) madrasa principal leadership innovation and 4) challenges faced by madrasah principals in implementing the independent learning curriculum. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data was collected by means of interviews, observation and documentation. The results of the research are the head of MIN 1 Mataram in Implementing the Independent Learning Curriculum, which is to return students to their rights as human beings as the implementation of humanism education where schools are expected to accommodate students according to their interests because each child has their own uniqueness and preferential treatment that makes that uniqueness unique. valuable and meaningful. The innovations made by the Head of MIN 1 Mataram in the context of implementing the learning curriculum, including: 1) increasing the professionalism of human resources, especially teachers at MIN I Mataram, 2) increasing the ability to supervise learning guided by the supervision instrument 3) Innovation related to governance management using the term division, and increased the number of divisions to 11 divisions, namely: a) Curriculum Division, b) Partnership Division (Humas), c) Language Development Division, d) Language Development Division, e) Library Division, f) Religious Division, g) Sports and Health, h) Infrastructure Division, i) UKS/Health Division, j) Arts and Culture Division, k) Security and Order Division

Abstract

This study aims to offer a comprehensive overview of how Fiqh teachers' perceptions contribute to the implementation of this curriculum. It will also examine how these perceptions affect teaching and learning processes in the classroom and their impact on student outcomes. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected from primary and secondary sources. Data analysis uses an interactive cycle model, involving several steps from data collection to presentation and verification. The study reveals that Fiqh teachers' perceptions of the Merdeka Curriculum are generally positive but also identify several challenges. Teachers view the Merdeka Curriculum as a beneficial innovation in education, although they acknowledge that the transition from the 2013 Curriculum is not significantly different due to their interconnectedness. Teachers find that the new curriculum allows for greater flexibility in teaching, with a shift toward a student-centered approach. However, implementation faces challenges such as inadequate facilities, lack of readiness, and increased administrative burdens. Teachers report that while their role in the classroom has shifted to being facilitators and motivators, their administrative responsibilities have increased. There are also issues with the synergy between students, parents, teachers, and the school, affecting the effectiveness of the curriculum.

Abstract

Perkembangan kecerdasan buatan (Artificial Intelligence/AI) telah memberikan dampak yang signifikan dalam transformasi berbagai bidang, termasuk pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh implementasi AI terhadap metode pembelajaran di sekolah, dengan fokus pada manfaat, tantangan, dan implikasi bagi tenaga pendidik serta peserta didik. Melalui studi literatur dan analisis konseptual, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa penerapan AI dalam pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan personalisasi proses belajar, efisiensi evaluasi, serta memperluas akses terhadap sumber belajar. Di sisi lain, penerapan AI juga memunculkan tantangan berupa ketimpangan akses teknologi, potensi ketergantungan pada sistem otomatisasi, serta isu etika terkait privasi dan penggunaan data siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan pendekatan strategis dan kebijakan yang tepat, pemanfaatan AI berpotensi mendukung terwujudnya model pembelajaran yang lebih adaptif, inklusif, dan berbasis data di lingkungan pendidikan. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar pengembangan kebijakan dan praktik pembelajaran berbasis AI yang berorientasi pada penguatan kualitas pendidikan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji pengaruh pemanfaatan platform digital terhadap minat serta pengembangan bakat siswa Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) melalui pendekatan library research dengan metode integrative literature review. Sumber data berasal dari empat pangkalan utama, yakni Google Scholar, Scispace, DOAJ, dan Scopus, dengan cakupan publikasi tahun 2015–2024. Proses pemilihan literatur dilakukan berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi tertentu, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan thematic analysis untuk menelaah tema-tema pokok. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan platform digital berkontribusi pada peningkatan motivasi belajar, penguatan potensi akademik maupun non-akademik, serta perluasan ruang aktualisasi bakat siswa MI. Faktor penunjang meliputi integrasi pedagogis yang tepat, kompetensi literasi digital guru, serta kolaborasi antara madrasah, orang tua, dan komunitas digital. Kendati demikian, hambatan masih ditemukan pada aspek infrastruktur, kapasitas pendidik, dan etika pemanfaatan teknologi. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menekankan perlunya strategi implementasi yang adaptif dan kontekstual, serta merekomendasikan kajian lanjutan dengan desain longitudinal atau eksperimental guna memperdalam pemahaman mengenai hubungan kausal antara penggunaan platform digital dan mutu pembelajaran di madrasah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran profesionalisme dan kreativitas guru dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa Madrasah Ibtidaiyah melalui pendekatan library research dengan jenis integrative review. Data diperoleh dari artikel ilmiah yang dipublikasikan pada database bereputasi seperti Google Scholar, Scispace, DOAJ, dan Scopus dalam rentang tahun 2015–2024. Seleksi literatur dilakukan secara sistematis berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi tertentu. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa profesionalisme guru yang meliputi penguasaan soft skills, kepemimpinan pembelajaran, supervisi akademik, dan pengembangan kompetensi berkelanjutan berkontribusi signifikan dalam membentuk lingkungan belajar yang memotivasi. Sementara itu, kreativitas guru terbukti mampu meningkatkan minat dan keterlibatan belajar siswa melalui desain pembelajaran yang inovatif dan adaptif. Integrasi antara kedua aspek ini menghasilkan strategi pendidikan yang holistik, yang secara langsung berdampak pada peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa. Studi ini menekankan pentingnya pengembangan kapasitas profesional dan kreatif guru sebagai landasan strategis dalam transformasi kualitas pendidikan dasar, serta merekomendasikan riset lanjutan untuk pengembangan model aplikatif yang menggabungkan kedua variabel tersebut dalam konteks pembelajaran abad ke-21.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji secara sistematis kontribusi umpan balik guru dalam mengembangkan minat dan bakat siswa di sekolah dasar. Kajian dilakukan dengan metode Systematic Literature Review melalui penelusuran artikel ilmiah pada basis data Google Scholar, ERIC, DOAJ, dan Garuda Portal dengan rentang publikasi 2016–2025. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa umpan balik yang dirancang dengan baik, disampaikan secara jelas, dan bernuansa positif mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar, membangun rasa percaya diri, serta mendorong keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam pembelajaran. Lebih jauh, umpan balik yang efektif memberi ruang bagi siswa untuk memahami kelebihan dan kekurangan diri, sehingga membantu mereka menyusun strategi pengembangan potensi secara lebih terarah. Meskipun demikian, praktik di sekolah masih menghadapi tantangan, seperti keterbatasan waktu, tingginya beban administrasi, dan jumlah siswa yang besar, sehingga penerapan umpan balik sering hanya berfokus pada hasil akademik. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan strategi umpan balik yang aplikatif dan sesuai konteks untuk mendukung pengembangan minat dan bakat siswa sejak dini.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze student perceptions of the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) method in learning Religious Education. This study used a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, involving 80 students at Muhammadiyah Mataram University. Data were collected through a Likert scale questionnaire consisting of 50 statements, then analyzed using descriptive statistics to describe students' perceptions of the implementation of PBL. The results showed that the majority of students responded positively to this method, stating that PBL improved their understanding of religious concepts, connected religious values with daily life, and encouraged active involvement in learning. In addition, PBL is also proven to improve critical thinking skills, cooperation in group discussions, and provide a more meaningful learning experience. However, some challenges are still faced, such as limited relevant references, lack of supporting facilities, and the need for additional guidance from lecturers so that this method can be applied optimally. In addition, students emphasized the importance of real case studies in PBL to increase the relevance of learning. Therefore, support from educational institutions is needed in providing learning resources, improving learning facilities, and more structured teaching strategies. Future research is suggested to explore more flexible and effective PBL implementation strategies, as well as comparing the effectiveness of PBL with other learning methods in order to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the contribution of PBL in learning Religious Education.
