Abstract

The development of this interactive E-LKPD was motivated by students’ low interest in learning mathematics, which is partly caused by the use of monotonous and less engaging printed worksheets. To address this issue, an interactive E-LKPD using Liveworksheets was developed to help teachers create a more engaging and interactive learning atmosphere. This interactive E-LKPD was designed for the Mathematics subject at SMP Negeri 4 Payakumbuh with the aim of fostering enjoyable learning experiences and improving students’ understanding of the material. This study is a Research and Development (R&D) project employing the 4D development model, consisting of the Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. The product validity was assessed by three validators, including two media experts and one material expert. In addition, a practicality test was conducted on 31 seventh-grade students to determine the practicality level of the developed interactive E-LKPD. The research findings show that the interactive E-LKPD using Liveworksheets obtained a material validation score of 90.6%, indicating a Highly Valid category. Media validation results revealed scores of 97.4% from the first media expert and 96.2% from the second media expert, both categorized as Highly Valid. The practicality test achieved a score of 91.2%, classified as Highly Practical. Therefore, it can be concluded that the developed interactive E-LKPD is valid and practical to be used as a learning medium for seventh-grade Mathematics, particularly on integer and algebra topics.

Abstract

The background of this research is that teacher-centered learning still relies on lecture and practical methods, conducted exclusively in the classroom and without laboratory facilities. This results in students becoming bored and tired during the learning process. This study aims to explore the impact of the use of audio-visual media on the learning achievement of 10th-grade students in Informatics at SMAN 1 Ranah Pesisir. This study employed a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design, involving two sample groups: the experimental group and the control group. The sample consisted of 50 students, consisting of 25 in the control group (X1) and 25 in the experimental group (X2). The experimental group received audio-visual media, while the control group implemented traditional methods using textbooks and a whiteboard. The measurement instrument in this study was a learning test consisting of 20 multiple-choice questions that had been tested for validity (15 questions were declared valid) and reliability (r = 0.769, high category). Based on the research results, the average score of the experimental class was 75.72 with a standard deviation of 10.64, while the average score of the control class was 62.44 with a standard deviation of 10.46. The normality test using Liliefors showed that the calculated L value exceeded the t-table (α = 0.05), thus H_0 was rejected and H_1 was accepted. It can be concluded that the use of audio-visual media has a positive and significant impact on student learning achievement in Informatics.

Abstract

One component that cannot be separated from the learning process is learning media. Learning media is an essential part of education, regardless of the curriculum, because it plays a crucial role in influencing the quality and success of learning. The Informatics subject is no exception, as it introduces computers to students. This introduction is the initial stage of informatics lessons. In presenting the learning process through computer application materials, good preparation is essential. An educator should do more than just coordinate students in front of the computer, use a loud voice to direct them, or write notes on the blackboard. They must wisely package the teaching materials to make learning enjoyable, allowing students to feel that the classroom is a place to explore while they learn to use a computer. This type of research is development and research (R&D) using the ADDIE model. Product validation tests were conducted by three validators: one material validator, one language validator, and one media validator. The product trial involved 30 seventh-grade students from SMPN 1 Siak Hulu, aimed at assessing the practicality of the developed product. The effectiveness test was conducted by administering pre-test and post-test questions to the students. The results of the video media development research showed a validation level of 86% for the material and 85% for the language, both falling into the very valid category. The product practicality results indicated a practicality level of 91%, also in the very practical category. The effectiveness test yielded a t-value of 16.4.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) and learning interest on the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth-grade students, focusing on the perimeter and area of plane figures. Aimed at addressing passive engagement in conventional methods, this quasi-experimental research employed a 2x2 factorial design with 42 students. Data were collected via learning interest questionnaires and mathematics tests, then analyzed using Independent Sample T-Tests and Two-Way ANOVA. The results demonstrate that CRT significantly improves overall mathematics learning outcomes (p = 0.000). Specifically, CRT has a significant positive effect on students with high learning interest (p = 0.008) with a mean difference of 13.45 points, and on those with low learning interest (p = 0.000) with a mean difference of 12.15 points. Furthermore, a significant interaction exists between the teaching approach and learning interest (p = 0.043). These findings suggest that CRT effectively enhances outcomes across different interest levels by integrating local culture, such as the Jam Gadang, into the Merdeka Curriculum. This approach promotes inclusive, contextual, and meaningful learning in elementary education.
