Abstract

Nursing documentation is assessed in hospital accreditation because it includes the actions taken and the quality of provided care. Hospital accreditation undergoes three phases consist of preparation, implementation, and post-accreditation. In the post-accreditation phase, there is reduced compliance of workers and nurses. This study determines the quality of nursing documentation at the fully accredited hospital by using descriptive and quantitative research with a retrospective approach. A simple random sampling method is used to attain 292 documents. Data are collected using the Evaluation of Nursing Care Instrument by the Ministry of Health Republic of Indonesia. Results show that nursing documentation has poor quality with an average achievement of 80.81%. In terms of components, the implementation is the most complete whereas the intervention and nursing care parts are the least filled out. Most of the factual indicators have good quality but other records have poor completion or compliance. Observation indicators for documentation quality need review to determine the factors that influence the decline in quality. Hospitals need to review and improve nursing documentation to prevent quality deterioration in the post-accreditation survey. Using information technology for documentation can help nurses because the standardized language and linked systems facilitate documentation of the entire care process, and thus enhance its completeness. Abstract

The problem faced by the government is the limitation to support PLWHA to enhance their mental health status. The non-governmental-based supporting group may have an impact on PLWHA’s resilience due to their psychosocial problems. The purpose of this study was to explore the resilience levels among people with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) who are members of a non-governmental-based supporting group. This study used a quantitative design with a descriptive explorative approach — a hundred PLWHA, who have registered and followed the non-governmental supporting group in Jember, Indonesia during the last period of 2018 following this study by using a purposive sampling technique. The Brief Resilience Scale questionnaire was used to collect data. Data was collected in June - July 2019. Data were analyzed by descriptive explorative approach with 95% of CI and data were shown in the frequency table. The results of this study showed that 3% of the respondents’ resilience has low resilience category, 56% has normal resilience, and 41% has high resilience level after 6 months following the supporting group. Support from members of the supporting group as an external factor made respondents more resilient. Resilience for PLWHA should be further enhanced to help PLWHA survive better and be able to face difficulties.

Abstract

Antiretroviral (ARV) treatment has become the standard of minimal care for people living with HIV. The length of treatment impacts the compliance of PLWHA in accessing and getting treatment. The Indonesian government's strategy in the HIV/AIDS control system is to expand services to the Puskesmas level, from counseling and testing to ARV care/treatment. The problem is that the number of health personnel in charge of the program is limited. The limited number of health workers will impact their ability to follow up with PLWHA to obtain services, especially maintaining ARV consumption. Agronursing is the provision of agricultural-based nursing services in areas of agriculture, plantations, waters, or industrial agriculture. The concept of the agronursing-based care model is by optimizing the duties of nurses in agricultural or rural areas as an extension of the government's program in controlling HIV/AIDS, which is currently still at the Puskesmas level. The agronursing-based care model is an opportunity to reduce loss to follow-up in PLWHA. Implementing the agronursing-based care model includes providing comprehensive nursing care, providing ARV therapy, providing support and counseling, managing the service system for PLWHA, and facilitating outreach and referrals to health centers, hospitals, or NGOs. Further studies are needed to ensure that the agronursing-based care model effectively reduces loss to follow-up in PLWHA and achieves HIV/AIDS control programs.

Abstract

Self-efficacy in nursing students can affect the clinical and academic learning process. Self-efficacy is an assessment or belief that a person has about their ability to organize and carry out an action. This study aims to describe the self-efficacy of nursing students. The research design used was non-experimental with a descriptive approach. The population in this study were professional students of the Faculty of Nursing, the University of Jember, with a total sampling technique of 236 respondents. The results showed that the respondents' self-efficacy obtained the mean and standard deviation (60.75 ± 8.296). In the results of the self-efficacy indicator, the mean and min-max results for levels 23.96 and 9-32. The mean (18.79) and min-max (7-24) results are obtained on the strength indicator. The generalization indicator's mean (18.02) and min-max (10-24) results are obtained. The conclusion of this study shows that the value of student self-efficacy is still not optimal because students do not fully state that they often and very often have confidence in carrying out and completing the nursing professional education process. Students' self-efficacy needs to be improved by having good relationships with clinical and academic supervisors as role models, asking for verbal persuasion from those closest to them, and practicing activities independently to achieve a certain level of competence.

Abstract

Abstract

Satisfaction is a feeling of pleasure or disappointment arising from comparing the perceived performance of results/products with their expectations, and patient dissatisfaction with antiretroviral (ARV) treatment services will harm people with HIV/AIDS. This study aims to determine the level of satisfaction and the factors that influence satisfaction in ARV treatment services. This study uses a literature review with DOAJ, PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Springer databases. In 13 articles analyzed, two findings discussed the level of satisfaction and factors influencing patient satisfaction. The level of satisfaction with ARV treatment services is relatively high; on average, all patients are delighted. Factors influencing patient satisfaction are divided into sociodemographic, individual, nurse or health worker, health service, and environmental factors. Every country or every health service has different services; the level of satisfaction with ARV treatment services also varies because several factors influence it; it is necessary to improve the quality of service by improving the planning of facilities and infrastructure, good time management, arrangement of resources, facilities and work environment. Provide guidance and training to health workers. HIV/AIDS patients need not be afraid to seek treatment and are more open to expressing complaints to nurses or health workers.
