Abstract

Background: Errors in health services in Indonesia are caused by poor communication in implementing interprofessional collaboration with a percentage of 70-80%. This causes medical errors, namely with the percentage distribution of 11% drug administration errors, 46% inappropriate drug use and 54% drug prescribing errors. The purpose of this scientific work is to analyze interprofessional collaboration on drug administration to clients with diabetes mellitus. Method: The method used in this study is observation and measurement tools to evaluate interprofessional collaboration using a checklistSelf-rating score for Interprofessional Collaboration in Clinical Practice. Results: The results obtained are that the application of interprofessional collaboration has not been carried out optimally due to a lack of communication clinical pathway as a guide in carrying out clinical actions, and no health workers have attended IPC (Inter-Professional Collaboration) implementation training.Good communication during the interprofessional collaboration process can solve health problems and improve patient safety. In addition to optimizing the implementation of interprofessional collaboration by holding integrated training to enhance good cooperative relations between professions. Conclusion: Therefore, there is a need for evaluation by services in hospitals regarding interprofessional collaboration as an effort to reduce the risk of errors in administering drugs to patients and improve the quality of health services in hospitals.

Abstract

Background: The sound generated by a tractor engine is one of the causes of ear disorders. This is usually experienced by people who live in agro-industrial areas, especially those who work as farm laborers, especially when planting and harvesting. Most people spend their free time in the fields, so they indirectly listen to the sound produced by the tool. Purpose: The literature review study aims to discover the increase of noise hazards on incidents of occupational diseases in agro-industrial areas. Methods: The method used in the preparation of this Literature Review was obtained from 3 database sources, namely Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, and Pubmed, which was published from 2018 to 2021 using Indonesian keywords, namely "Noise" OR "Agro-industry" OR "Hearing Impaired" OR "Occupational Health Risks". After searching for journal articles using the Google Scholar search engine, according to the keywords that have been determined. Literature analysis took ten journal articles published in 2018-2023, 5 articles discussing noise, two articles discussing hearing loss, two articles discussing occupational health risks, and 1 article discussing agro-industry. Results: From this study, it can be concluded that the presence of noise intensity that has exceeded the threshold value (85 dB) can increase the risk of increased blood pressure of workers, leading to workplace hypertension. In addition, noise can also cause stress because it is one type of stressor in the workplace. Conclusion: It is crucial to plan various ear plug measures to reduce noise exposure in the workplace. The nurse's suggestion is to build public awareness regarding the importance of protecting the ears from noise, one of which is using ear plugs. The purpose of the earplug is to protect and reduce the level of noise that enters the ear.

Abstract

Backgrounds: Soil-transmitted Helminths infections have become a frequent phenomenon among farmers due to their lack of hygiene, making it easy for nematode worms to enter the body. Soil-transmitted helminths can affect nutritional status, resulting in anemia, loss of appetite, and damage to the intestines. To overcome this phenomenon, adequate personal hygiene in farmers is needed. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze how personal hygiene can affect the incidence of Soil-Transmitted Helminths infection. Methods: The method used is a literature review using 10 kinds of literature from 3 sources, namely Google Scholar, PubMed, and Science Direct with a publication range from 2020-2024. Result: The results showed that some articles showed an association between personal hygiene and the incidence of soil-transmitted helminths. Good personal hygiene can prevent the entry of nematode worms into the digestive tract of the body. Besides that, some articles also showed no association between personal hygiene and soil-transmitted helminth infection. Conclusion: Adequate personal hygiene such as always using gloves and complete personal protective equipment while working, always washing hands before eating, and maintaining environmental hygiene is needed by farmers to avoid the incidence of soil-transmitted helminth infection.

Abstract

Background: In Indonesia the impact of noise that causes hearing loss is still high compared to other countries in Southeast Asia. Noise can cause hearing loss in workers if the scale of the noise is high and occurs continuously. It can also trigger a decline in health that will have an impact on the performance of workers. Objective: to Analysis of PPE Compliance in Preventing Hearing Loss in Agro-Industrial Area. Methods: The research in this study used the literature review method. This search strategy uses several databases such as Pubmed, ResearchGate, and Google Scholar. This search use keywords PPE, Hearing Loss, and Agro-industrial. Results: Increasing noise intensity, duration of work, and duration of exposure can cause hearing loss because the inner hair cells and supporting cells are damaged. The longer the working period, the greater the noise exposure it will receive. The use of PPE can effectively prevent noise-induced hearing loss. Conclusion: Workers exposed to noise are highly susceptible to hearing loss. It depends on the intensity of the noise, the duration of exposure, the sensitivity of the individual or the worker itself and the frequency of the noise. Noise can be prevented, one of which is by using personal protective equipment when working. In this case, nurses can educate related to the use of PPE to prevent hearing loss.

Abstract

One indicator of the effectiveness of HIV/AIDS prevention can be measured by the role of stakeholders involved in the HIV/AIDS prevention program. The obstacles are that there are still unequal perceptions of interest regarding the target group from each stakeholder in developing HIV/AIDS prevention programs and a lack of coordination between internal and external agencies, so there has been no effort to integrate programs between agencies. The purpose of this activity is to optimize the role of stakeholders in HIV AIDS prevention in Jember. This activity was carried out in stages (1) presenting material on "The Role of Stakeholders in HIV AIDS Response" and questions and answers related to the material presented, as well as (2) Focus Group Discussion (FGD) to discuss the implementation of the role of stakeholders in HIV AIDS response. The results of this activity show that stakeholders could understand the national strategy in dealing with HIV AIDS; stakeholders understood their role in HIV AIDS prevention, and stakeholder groups stated that they would help in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Definitive policy recommendations issued by local governments related to stakeholder involvement in HIV AIDS response.

Abstract

Vaccinators, who are health workers, are continuing to make efforts to accelerate the achievement of the COVID-19 vaccination. This study aimed to analyze burnout syndrome among vaccinators. An analytical descriptive with a cross sectional approach was used. The number of samples using G*Power obtained 138 samples with the criteria of health workers who had been on the COVID-19 vaccinating team from public health centers (Puskesmas) and hospitals in Jember, Indonesia. The instrument used in this study was demographic data, factors causing burnout syndrome, and burnout syndrome. The statistical test is a correlative analysis (Spearman's rho, =0.05). Most of the respondents were aged 31-40 years, the majority were women, the majority were married, most came from the Puskesmas, more than half had worked >10 years, and more than half had been on the COVID-19 vaccine team for >18 months. There is a significant relationship between individual effort (p=0.039, r=-0.176) and organizational effort (p=0.009, r=-0.220) with burnout syndrome. However, the work environment was not significantly related to burnout syndrome (p=0.146, r=-0.124). Efforts are needed to reduce the incidence of burnout, especially those related to increasing individual welfare and significant organizational support so that the target for the COVID-19 vaccination is achieved.
