Abstract

This study aims to describe the validity of climate change teaching materials based on science literacy and curiosity character of junior high school students. The research method used is research and development (R&D) through the modified four-D (4 D) model. This modul development procedure includes three stages, whisch are define, design and develop. The subjects of this research and development include 5 expert validators. The type of data obtained is quantitative data in the formdof product validation questionnaire scores. The results of research and development of junior high school science teaching materials based on science literacy and characterised by curiosity on the topic of climate change by expert validators obtained validity results with a total of 0.90 with valid criteria. This is reviewed from three aspects: (1) content feasibility scored 0.90 with valid criteria, (2) presentation feasibility aspect scored 0.88 with valid criteria, (3) linguistic feasibility aspect scored 0.92 with valid criteria. So it can be concluded from all the validity tests that the teaching materials developed are classified as valid criteria.

Abstract

This research explores the integration of character education, specifically focusing on drawing inspiration from the abundant cultural wisdom embedded in Mamanda theater—an invaluable cultural asset in South Kalimantan. The central aim of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of utilizing Mamanda’s theater arts as a catalyst for collaborative character-building within the realm of education. The collaborative characters, symbolic of the harmonious dynamics inherent in the learning process, undergo evaluation through the implementation of a Likert scale. The research encompasses a cohort of 83 students, all actively engaged as respondents. The outcomes highlight the notably high effectiveness of incorporating Mamanda’s theater arts to facilitate the collaborative character-building endeavor. Beyond its immediate findings, this research contributes substantively to the ongoing academic dialogue surrounding character education. Moreover, it serves as a valuable resource for educators and lecturers, offering insights into the practical application of local wisdom, specifically through Mamanda theater, to instill character traits firmly rooted in cultural richness and educational excellence.

Abstract

Memahami ide-ide sains dan menggunakannya untuk memecahkan masalah-masalah praktis dikenal sebagai literasi sains. Temuan PISA memperlihatkan kalau literasi sains siswa Indonesia berada dalam kisaran yang buruk. Kelangkaan sumber daya pembelajaran yang mempromosikan literasi sains adalah penyebabnya. Rasa ingin tahu ialah kualitas yang dapat membantu siswa menjadi pembaca yang lebih baik. Oleh karena itu, proses pembelajaran menuntut seseorang untuk memiliki rasa ingin tahu. Maksud dari proyek ini ialah guna membuat modul sains yang menekankan literasi sains dan menyoroti sifat keingintahuan dalam konten yang berkaitan dengan sistem gerak manusia. Materi pendidikan yang telah dipersiapkan menunjukkan ciri-ciri yang berakar pada literasi sains, yang dikelompokkan dalam empat kategori literasi sains, serta menampilkan karakteristik keingintahuan yang didasarkan pada empat indikator karakter keingintahuan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam kajian ini adalah model 4D, yang meliputi tiga tahap yakni definisi, perancangan, dan pengembangan. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi materi pendidikan untuk peserta didik. Dari hasil validasi oleh empat ahli, diperoleh nilai total validitas materi pendidikan sebesar 96,67%, yang masuk dalam kategori "valid tanpa perlu revisi".

Abstract

Modul pembelajaran yang disajikan melalui konteks dunia nyata dapat membantu peserta didik untuk lebih mudah memahami konsep matematika dengan melihat bagaimana konsep tersebut dapat diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan Modul Ajar Matematika berbasis soal cerita kontekstual materi pecahan untuk kelas VII SMP, modul ajar dikembangkan untuk mengatasi kesulitan siswa dalam memahami materi pecahan dengan konteks kue bingka. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan. Model yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model ADDIE, yang mencakup Analisis, Desain, Development, Implementasi, dan Evaluasi. Subjek uji coba penelitian adalah 36 siswa kelas VIIG SMP Negeri 1 Banjarmasin. Analisis data menggunakan data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen validasi modul ajar, angket respon guru, dan evaluasi siswa. Hasil analisis validasi ahli menunjukkan bahwa modul ajar ini sangat valid. Hasil analisis angket respon guru menunjukkan bahwa modul ajar sangat praktis dan hasil analisis evaluasi peserta didik menunjukkan bahwa modul ajar efektif.

Abstract

Penggunaan tes formatif dalam pembelajaran matematika termasuk kunci untuk mengukur dan meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik secara berkelanjutan. Pengembangan tes formatif yang mengaitkan unsur budaya lokal seperti etnomatematika dari rumah adat Bubungan Tinggi masih sangat terbatas. Tujuan utama kajian ini ialah untuk memaparkan proses pengembangan soal tes formatif dengan memperhatikan aspek validitas serta reliabilitas sehingga menghasilkan soal tes formatif matematika yang reliabel dan valid yang bisa dipergunakan sebagai alat evaluasi pemahaman peserta didik terhadap materi garis dan sudut. Kajian ini mempergunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) atau penelitian pengembangan dengan model pengembangan tipe formative research. Uji coba ini dilaksanakan di MTs Negeri 2 Hulu Sungai Tengah dengan subjek penelitian untuk tahap one-to-one tiga orang peserta didik, untuk tahap small group enam orang peserta didik dan untuk tahap field test 35 orang peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data mempergunakan lembar angket respon peserta didik, lembar validasi dan 15 soal tes fomatif yang berbentuk pilihan ganda disertai dengan penyelesaiannya. Produk yang dikembangkan dinilai oleh dua orang validator ahli sehingga didapat skor validitas logis senilai 3,53 termasuk dalam kategori sangat valid. Uji validitas empiris butir soal didapat sembilan soal valid, enam soal tidak valid dan uji reliabilitas didapat skor 0,657 termasuk dalam kategori reliabilitas tinggi. Sehingga kajian ini menghasilkan sembilan soal tes formatif matematika materi garis dan sudut berbasis etnomatematika rumah adat Bubungan Tinggi untuk SMP/MTs yang valid dan reliabel.

Abstract

Conventional methods in learning cell physiology are less effective, so a more interactive approach is needed. Mamanda art offers an innovative solution by modeling biology concepts through drama, comedy, and dialogue, while instilling moral values and collaborative skills. The main objective of this research is to describe the learning activities of cell physiology through collaborative integration of local wisdom of Mamanda art. Collaborative character as a symbol of harmonious dynamics is applied in the learning process through Mamanda art media. This research is qualitative research with learning process observation method. The study population was two classes of participants in the Animal Physiology course, Biology Education Study Program, FKIP ULM. The sample used is a total sample. The first class amounted to 40 students; the second class amounted to 43 students. The two classes were compared qualitatively. The data were analyzed descriptively using a Likert scale of 1-5. The stages of learning are: First stage, introduction to the art of Mamanda and the concept of cell physiology; Second stage, division of labor and division of players; Third stage, Mamanda performance staging cell physiology models; Fourth stage, synchronization of cell physiology concepts and role playing in Mamanda art; and Fifth stage is case study. All stages of learning activities were observed by observers. The results showed that learning cell physiology through collaborative integration with local wisdom of Mamanda art can be implemented well. This learning model can also improve the character of collaboration by integrating the local wisdom of Mamanda art in students.Abstrak. Metode konvensional dalam pembelajaran fisiologi sel kurang efektif, sehingga diperlukan pendekatan lebih interaktif. Seni Mamanda menawarkan solusi inovatif dengan memodelkan konsep biologi melalui drama, komedi, dan dialog, sambil menanamkan nilai moral dan keterampilan kolaboratif. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kegiatan pembelajaran fisiologi sel melalui integrasi kolaboratif kearifan lokal seni Mamanda. Karakter kolaboratif sebagai simbol dinamika yang harmonis diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran melalui media seni Mamanda. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode observasi proses pembelajaran. Populasi penelitian adalah dua kelas peserta mata kuliah Fisiologi Hewan, Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi, FKIP ULM. Sampel yang digunakan adalah sampel total. Kelas pertama berjumlah 40 mahasiswa, kelas kedua berjumlah 43 mahasiswa. Kedua kelas dibandingkan secara kualitatif. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan menggunakan skala likert 1-5. Tahapan pembelajaran yaitu: Tahap pertama, pengenalan seni Mamanda dan konsep fisiologi sel; Tahap kedua, pembagian kerja dan pembagian pemain; Tahap ketiga, pertunjukan Mamanda yang mementaskan model fisiologi sel; Tahap keempat, sinkronisasi konsep fisiologi sel dan bermain peran dalam seni Mamanda; dan Tahap kelima, studi kasus. Semua tahap kegiatan pembelajaran diamati oleh pengamat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran fisiologi sel melalui integrasi kolaboratif dengan kearifan lokal Kesenian Mamanda dapat terlaksana dengan baik. Model pembelajaran ini juga dapat meningkatkan karakter kolaborasi dengan mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal Kesenian Mamanda pada siswa.

Abstract

The Cryptogamic botany course is supported by practical activities. The laboratory activities involve the observation of the morphology and taxonomy of lower plants. Observational activities focusing on lower plants require precision, creativity, curiosity, and objectivity from each participant. However, the available practical guide does not explicitly address these scientific characteristics. The objective of this research is to gather preliminary information and analyze the need for the development of a Cryptogamic botany practical guide aimed at fostering scientific character among students. This study is descriptive in nature, with data collection conducted through questionnaires and interviews involving 73 students and 4 lecturers responsible for the Lower Plants (Cryptogamic botany) course as respondents. The data were analyzed descriptively based on the percentage of respondent answers for each aspect in question. The results showed that 84.3% of the students strongly agreed, and 15.7% agreed, on the need for a practical guide integrated with scientific character. Furthermore, 58.8% of students preferred that this integration be explicitly presented in the practical guide, while others preferred it to be incorporated in the form of questions. All lecturers agreed on the integration of scientific character in the practical guide, with 25% favoring explicit inclusion, 25% supporting its incorporation through questions, and 50% advocating for it to be framed within a learning model. The development of a Cryptogamic botany practical guide integrating scientific character is deemed essential.Abstrak. Mata kuliah Cryptogamic botany ditunjang oleh kegiatan praktikum. Kegiatan pengamatan dengan objek tumbuhan rendah menuntut ketelitian, kreatifitas, rasa ingin tahu dan objektifitas terhadap data dari setiap praktikan. Panduan praktikum yang tersedia belum memuat secara eksplisit karakter ilmiah yang dimaksud. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengumpulkan informasi awal dan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan untuk pengembangan panduan praktikum Cryptogamic botany dalam rangka membangun karakter ilmiah para praktikan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen berupa kuesioner dan wawancara yang melibatkan 73 mahasiswa dan 4 orang dosen pengampu mata kuliah Tumbuhan Rendah (Cryptogamic botany) sebagai responden. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif berdasarkan penghitungan persentase jawaban responden pada setiap aspek yang dipertanyakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebutuhan mahasiswa terhadap panduan praktikum yang terintegrasi karakter ilmiah dengan persentase 84,3% sangat setuju dan 15,7% menyatakan setuju. Sebanyak 58,8% mahasiswa menghendaki pengintegrasiannya dipaparkan secara jelas di dalam panduan praktikum, dan yang lainnya menghendaki dituangkan dalam bentuk pertanyaan. Seluruh dosen pengampu mata kuliah menyatakan setuju untuk pengintegrasian karakter ilmiah dalam panduan praktikum secara jelas (25%), 25% menghendaki dituangkan dalam bentuk pertanyaan. dan dikemas dalam suatu model pembelajaran (50%). Panduan praktikum Cryptogamic botany yang mengintegrasikan karakter ilmiah menjadi hal yang penting.

Abstract

The problem in several schools is that students experience learning loss due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so several generations of students are slowly learning. Apart from that, the 2022 AKM results are less than optimal because not all students are familiar with contextual problems. Therefore, training in designing mathematics learning using the local context of the wetland environment based on RME needs to be implemented. This service aims to develop the ability of teachers of SDI Sabilal Muhtadin to design mathematics learning using the local context of the wetland environment based on RME to increase teachers' understanding and ability to design realistic learning. The method applied in this community service activity uses a PAR (Participatory Action Research) approach. The PAR cycle implemented is To Know, To Understand, To Plan, To Act, and To Change. The service team prepares material and delivers it via an offline workshop, while participants are also allowed to design learning with a local context and based on RME. The service results show an increase in teacher understanding regarding RME-based learning designs in the local context of the wetland environment, which is indicated by an increase in the average score from pre-test to post-test. Apart from that, most teachers have been able to develop mathematics learning plans based on RME in a local context. This is shown by the teacher's work in designing lessons sent to the service team. Thus, this service activity has successfully increased teachers' understanding and abilities in designing realistic learning.

Abstract

Although in traditional trade practices, unethical practices are increasingly occurring, characterized by a lack of principles of honesty, trustworthiness, and transparency among traders, on the contrary, in traditional river-based trade practices at the Lok Baintan floating market with local wisdom "kuranglabih" can realize these practices. Fairtrade is in line with Islamic values. This research aims to describe trading ethics based on Islamic values in trading practices on the floating market and analyze the integration of Islamic values, local wisdom, and the role of Panyambangan in traditional river-based trade at the Lok Baintan Floating Market. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation to record cultural phenomena comprehensively. The research results show that it has contributed significantly to the Banjar people's cultural richness and character formation. As well as making strong river-based trade practices to support honest and fair trade. Local wisdom kuranglabih reflects ethics, kinship, tolerance, justice, mutual respect, and economic aspects. As moral guides, Miners play an essential role in spreading the values of honesty and generosity among traders. Commitment to Islamic values shows how cultural heritage can develop without losing its essence. This research contributes to understanding the importance of local wisdom in building honesty and justice. Research implications include sustainable planning for policymakers to protect traditional river-based markets and efforts to empower traders in developing and maintaining trade in floating markets.
