Abstract

This research was motivated by the results of observations at the Kemala Bhayangkari Bangkinang City Kindergarten regarding children's fine motor skills that had not developed optimally. So improvements need to be made through busy book media. The problem in this research is that children have difficulty holding a pencil, children lack concentration, are not precise and neat and lack patience in carrying out learning activities related to fine motor skills, children are not able to follow the pattern lines ordered by the teacher, children have difficulty recognizing colors. This research aims to improve the fine motor skills of class A children at the Kemala Bhayangkari Bangkinang City Kindergarten through busy book media. The subjects in this study were 15 children consisting of 8 girls and 7 boys. This research uses classroom action research methods. This research consisted of two cycles and each cycle was held in 2 meetings. The data collection techniques used are observation and documentation. From the calculations carried out, it can be seen that the percentage of children's fine motor skills has increased from the initial condition of the number of children with the Not Yet Developed (BB) criteria of 59.9%. In cycle I the criteria for Not Yet Developed (BB) was reduced to 17.9%. In cycle II, the criteria for Not Yet Developed (BB) were reduced again to 1.65%. This proves that busy book media can improve children's fine motor skills at the Kemala Bhayangkari Bangkinang City Kindergarten.

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' writing skills where the results were obtained through interviews with English subject teachers. The writing skills of students identified, especially errors in using grammar in writing recount text, were obtained from the results of interviews with subject teachers who had corrected the results of students' recount text writing. The method used in this research is a qualitative method by conducting interviews with English subject teachers. One English subject teacher was chosen as a participant. Data were collected through semistructure interviews with subject teachers. The results showed that from the analysis of the students' writing by the teacher, the results were not good. Students make mistakes in using grammar, such as using tobe, verbs, conjunctions and writing simple past tense sentences.

Abstract

This research consists of problems reseseach objective methods reseach findings and coclusions , This reseach focused on students’ ability to write descriptive text Descriptive text included in the type of text that are not to difficult but still found some difficulties faced by students when writing this eassay, this is the background of reseachers doing this research The purpose of the study is to analyze students’ ability to write descriptive text. In collecting data, reseachers used the writing test as an instrument . This research is a quantitative descriptive study . The components analyzed are idea development ,organizing ideas, grammar , vocabulary , meachanisms , content and punctuation . Reseachers analyzed students’ writing abilities based on five categories : very good , good , sufficient , weak ,lacking and very lacking This reseach was conducted at MTS Darun Na’im class IX . The results of this study illustrate that students face difficulties in organizing and developing ideas. They are not able to develop ideas on the text they write . Whereas the grammar component found no fundamental difficulties The vocabulary component also found some difficulties in applying good English vocabulary and still using Indonesian vocabulary . for the punctuation component, no significant errors were found . Based on the result of this study the teacher is advised to pay more attention to the teaching of this study the teacher is advised to pay more attention to the teaching of descriptive text structures in the development of ideas, idea content , organizing , vocabulary , grammar, mechanisms . Teachers are also expected to provide more examples and exercises on descriptive text to students so that educational goals are achieved well, especially in English subjects

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low listening skills observed among students at school. This experimental study was conducted in class XI of SMAN 1 Bangkinang Kota, aim of determining the effect of films on students' listening skills. The research employed a quasi-experimental design, with a sample of 72 students, consisting of 36 students from class X12 and 36 students from class XI.4. Data collection techniques included tests and documentation, with the data analyzed using SPSS version 26. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that films can improve the listening skills of students in class XI.2, particularly on fantasy material. This improvement is reflected in the post-test average score of 84.42. Furthermore, the results of the Paired T-Test at: a 5% significance level showed Sig. (2-tailed)0.000, which is less than (0.025), indicating a statistically significant improvement.

Abstract

Guru-guru sekolah dasar sebagian besar tidak terampil dalam menulis artikel ilmiah yang bisa diterbitkan pada jurnal nasional terakreditasi. Guru-guru sekolah dasar perlu diberikan penyuluhan terkait hal ini. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pembekalan kepada guru-guru sekolah dasar agar dapat menulis artikel yang bisa diterbitkan pada jurnal nasional terakreditasi. Metode pengabdian yang dilakukan melalui pendidikan masyaakat, yaitu: penyuluh melakukan penyuluhan, penyuluhan berisi aspek pengetahuan dan keterampilan bagaimana cara menulis artikel ilmiah yang layak untuk dipublikasikan di jurnal, penyuluhan diharapkan menunjukan perubahan perilaku dan tindakan nyata yang berdampak pada peningkatan kualitas guru-guru sekolah dasar dalam publikasi ilmiah. Penyuluhan penulisan artikel nasional ini membekali guru-guru sekolah dasar saat mereka menulis artikel. Penyuluhan ini harus terus dilakukan secara berkesinambungan agar kualitas menulis ilmiah guru-guru sekolah dasar dapat terus meningkat terutama dalam jumlah publikasi ilmiahnya. Publikasi ilmiah ini merupakan salah satu ciri guru profesional. Periset lanjutan bisa mengupayakan pengabdian dan/atau riset berkaitan dengan implementasi teknis terkait submit artikel pada website jurnal.
