Abstract

The focus of this study is to measure the effect of human resource management practice in the employees of hotel sector in Batam City. Samples were taken from 299 hotel employees of 5 a four-star hotel in the district of Batu Ampar. The Research data that has been collected is analyzed using Partial Least Squares Path Modelling (PLS-SEM) program version 3. Results from this study showed first, recruitment has a significant effect on employee performance. Second, the selection has a significant effect on employee performance. Third, the training doesn’t have a significant effect on employee performance. Fourth, compensation doesn’t have a significant effect on employee performance. Fifth, promotion doesn’t have a significant effect on employee performance.Keywords: Recruitment, Selection, Training, Compensation, Promotion, and Employee Performance.

Abstract

Abstrak Pendapatan asli daerah (PAD) Batam di bidang restoran terus meningkat dari tahun 2014 sampai 2018. Hal ini menandakan bahwa industri restoran di Batam saat ini terus berkembang. Oleh karena itu, restoran-restoran harus meningkatkan daya saingnya dengan berinovasi agar berbeda dari restoran lainnya. Penelitian ini menguji faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi IWP pada karyawan restoran Korea dan Jepang di Batam. Responden penelitian ini adalah 51 juru masak pada 5 restoran Korea dan Jepang di Batam yaitu Nogusaya Teppanyaki and Grill Restaurant, Dae Jang Geum Korean Restaurant, Club House Villa Panbil, Yuzu Sushi Boutique and Restaurant, dan Ken Yang Restaurant. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan SmartPLS 3. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sampling yaitu purposive. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa semua factor-faktor yaitu leadership, organizational justice, organizational commitment, organizational citizenship behavior berpengaruh terhadap Innovative Work Performance. Kata Kunci: leadership, organizational justice, organizational commitment, organizational citizenship behavior, Innovative Work Performance, restoran Korea dan Jepang Abstract Batam locally-generated revenue in restaurant industries keep increasing from 2014 to 2018 which indicates that currently restaurant industries in Batam keep growing. Therefore, restaurants have to increase their competitive value with innovation, so they will look different from other restaurant. This research examine the factor that influence IWP on employee Korean and Japanese restaurant at Batam. The respondents of this study were 51 cooks at 5 Korean and Japanese restaurants in Batam, namely Nogusaya Teppanyaki and Grill Restaurant, Dae Jang Geum Korean Restaurant, Club House Villa Panbil, Yuzu Sushi Boutique and Restaurant, and Ken Yang Restaurant. The collected data were analyzed using SmartPLS 3. This study used a purposive sampling technique. The results of this study can be concluded that all factors, namely leadership, organizational justice, organizational commitment, organizational citizenship behavior have an effect on Innovative Work Performance. Abstract

This study is aimed to determine the effect of recruitment, training and development, compensation and job satisfaction to employee performance of four star hotel’s employees in Batam. This study was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 273 respondents who are employees of four star hotels in Batam. The questionnaires were distributed and collected back, and 261 questionnaires were filled out completely so that it can be used for regression analisys by using Partial Least Squares. From the data processing with PLS is known that there are relationships between all the variables studied. Based on this research, the results obtained indicate that the compensation variable has a significant effect on the job satisfaction variable, job satisfaction has a significant effect on employee performance, the performance appraisal variable has no significant effect on the job satisfaction variable, the recruitment variable has a significant effect on job satisfaction and the training variable and development has no significant effect on job satisfaction. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh etika kepemimpinan, budaya organisasi, komitmen terhadap kinerja organisasi. Hal ini juga meneliti efek mediasi komitmen dalam hubungan antara kepemimpinan etik dan kinerja organisasi, dan antara budaya organisasi dan kinerja organisasi. Penelitian menggunakan data primer dengan menyebarkan angket. Metode penelitian adalah metode kuantitatif dan teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah SEM dengan menggunakan program SmartPLS 3.0. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 100 responden dan penelitian dilakukan di industri perkapalan, Tanjung Uncang, Kota Batam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan etik, budaya organisasi, dan komitmen terbukti berpengaruh signifikan positif terhadap kinerja organisasi. Selain itu, terbukti signifikan positif antara budaya organisasi terhadap komitmen dan pengaruh budaya organisasi terhadap kinerja organisasi melalui komitmen sebagai variabel mediasi. Namun, pengaruh antara kepemimpinan etik terhadap komitmen dan pengaruh pada variabel kepemimpinan etik terhadap kinerja organisasi melalui komitmen sebagai variabel mediasi, terbukti tidak signifikan.

Abstract

Problems of micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Batam in doing business when the corona pandemic has a bad impact on small traders, therefore the author makes a website that can be reached by all groups, both teenagers and adults. This website contains details of the products sold, the address, and personal contact of the merchant. This website was created aiming to help or introduce their products to other consumers to be better known. This article is based on data from direct interviews and the results of questionnaires given to SMEs. The area that the writer took as a place of research is Sekupang and Batu Aji Districts, Batam City. This research involved the Revolutionary group and the result was that the Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) who used the Batam Home Chef's website in promoting their merchandise felt helped because their merchandise had already begun to be recognized by many people and there was an increase in sales. Besides that, the results of the testimony conclude that the buyers responded well, positively, and supported the Batam Home Chef's website and MSMEs. Besides that, the feedback provided was also good, even the MSMEs wanted to create a menu of tastes and ordinary appearance. be unique following the testimony that has been given previously. Therefore the testimony is very helpful for the initial development to the peak of the success of the Batam Home Chef's website and MSMEs

Abstract

The spirit of nationalism and the love of the homeland of the people of Indonesia, especially the younger generation began to fade by the rapid development of science and technology (IPTEK) in the era of globalization. Understanding history has a role and impact on behavior and character on one's identity. Rapid technological advances have had negative impacts such as lifestyle changes that are contrary to the philosophy of the Indonesian state, apathy of the younger generation, the fading of local culture due to the inclusion of foreign cultures, and the lack of interest in studying history which has led to a low sense of nationalism and a sense of patriotism. The solution to building nationalism and the love of the motherland in the younger generation is to instill insight and historical awareness. The purpose of this PKM activity is to increase historical awareness in the younger generation. The research method uses the science and technology diffusion method. The technique of collecting data is done by making a questionnaire through Google form. The data analysis technique is to analyze the percentage of answers from Google forms that have been shared. The results of the survey show that the younger generation at this time is more likely to use gadgets (gadgets) and content in the form of social media applications, blogs, websites, and so on in accordance with the progress of science and technology in the globalization era. Therefore, the historical website called HistoriaPedia is useful for young people to add insight and historical awareness in order to arouse the spirit of nationalism and the love of the country continuously and continuously.

Abstract

Panti Asuhan Komunitas Anak Terang Batam merupakan salah satu panti asuhan yang ada di Batam, yang berdiri pada tahun 2014 dan memiliki kurang lebih 34 anak yatim piatu dan 4 pengasuh. Hasil observasi yang kami laksanakan ke Panti Asuhan Komunitas Anak Terang Batam yaitu Panti asuhan ini masih kurang menerapkan protokol Kesehatan untuk mencegah penyebaran virus Covid-19 yang sudah di anjurkan oleh Pemerintah. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah kami ingin memberikan sosialisasi pencegahan penyebaran virus Covid-19 serta memberikan alat cuci tangan otomatis yang kami buat untuk mitra kami. Tahap implementasi yang kami laksanakan dengan memberikan sebuah video yaitu penjelasan materi tentang pencegahan penyebaran virus Covid-19 dan sedikit materi tambahan yaitu mengenai pentingnya vaksinasi untuk memberikan sistem kekebalan tubuh. Hasil yang diharapkan dari kegiatan ini adalah pihak mitra kedepannya dapat menerapkan protokol kesehatan dan melakukan vaksinasi untuk mencegah penyebaran Covid-19
