Abstract

PT XYZ is a manufacturing company that produces various kinds of products made from PVC (Polyvynil Chloride). Some of the PVC-based products produced by PT XYZ are transparent sheet, colour sheet, and flooring. The problem that exists at PT XYZ is that the company often produces more than the amount of demand which makes the company have to prepare a storage warehouse with a capacity as large as the number of products produced. With this, the storage warehouse experiences overcapaity in controlling the inventory of products produced by the company. And it can be concluded that the problem that occurs at PT XYZ is inventory control and production quantity planning that has not been well planned. Based on the problems that occur at PT XYZ, the most suitable method used to solve these problems is the Lagrange Multiplier method. This research has a purpose to control the inventory of products made from PVC so as to minimize the total cost of product inventory at PT. XYZ. From the research This study found the optimal production amount of 1,332,999 m. Where with the amount of production, the company needs a warehouse area of 9,299.9 m3. The total inventory cost calculated using the Lagrange Multiplier method is IDR 377,073,841,401 while the company's total inventory cost is IDR 402,844,596,680. So that a savings of IDR 25,770,755,279 or 6.40% is obtained.

Abstract

The use of high-quality raw materials will affect the quality of products produced by a company. Companies really need suppliers who can supply quality raw materials. This can be realized by selecting the most appropriate supplier so that the company can minimize problems that can occur regarding raw material suppliers. PT True Indonesia is a manufacturing company that produces music equipment bags. So far, the company has made decisions in choosing suppliers only with the intuition of the parts related to the procurement of these raw materials. The decision chosen by the company in determining this supplier is often not right. The problems experienced by the company are the quality of raw materials that do not meet the company's criteria and the supplier's delay in sending raw material orders. In this study, the Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (FAHP) method was used. There are 7 main criteria in choosing a polyester fabric supplier, namely quality, delivery, price, communication system, warranties and claim policies, performance history, and geographic location. From the calculations carried out, the best polyester fabric supplier ranking for PT True Indonesia in order, Tongxiang has a total value of 0,3395, Hantron has a total value of 0,3350, PT. Lambang Jaya has a total value of 0,3340, PT. Shinta Indah Jaya has a total value of 0,3174, and CV. Agung has a total value of 0.3116.

Abstract

This study aims to identify waste in the 3 kg LPG delivery process at PT Nahatolu Miragas Prima and provide improvement proposals to improve distribution efficiency. The main problem is the delivery lead time that exceeds the estimated ideal time, causing delays to distribution partners. The method used is lean distribution with steps such as data collection of the distribution process, process flow mapping using Value Stream Mapping, and identification of waste based on 8 types of waste. Weighting was done through a questionnaire to determine the most dominant waste, followed by cause analysis using fishbone diagrams and formulation of improvement proposals using the 5W+1H approach. The results showed that the main wastes were in the waste activities of waiting, excess processing, and non-utilized talent. The application of future stream mapping shows the potential to significantly reduce distribution time by reducing the lead time of the distribution process from 732 minutes to 574 minutes. In conclusion, the lean distribution method is effectively used to identify and reduce waste in the LPG distribution flow by increasing the activity of the 3 Kg LPG distribution process by 21,5%.

Abstract

This research investigates the optimization of supply chain management for Non-Functional Device (NFD) transformers at PT XYZ through the integration of Material Flow Analysis (MFA) and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The study addresses the issue of material accumulation and environmental impact arising from inefficient management of decommissioned transformers. MFA to model and evaluate three management scenarios based on mass flow and carbon emissions, while AHP facilitated decision-making by prioritizing five key criteria and eleven sub-criteria. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, and internal company records. The results show that Scenario 3 eaturing transformer oil regeneration and component reuse yielded the lowest carbon emissions (101.981 kg CO₂/month) and the highest priority score (0.628) in AHP analysis, with regulatory compliance emerging as the most critical factor. This indicates that Scenario 3 offers the most sustainable and efficient strategy, enabling the company to reduce emissions, recover material value, and improve overall supply chain performance

Abstract

The unrelated parallel machine scheduling (PMS) problem is essential for the manufacturing industry. Scheduling will save company resources, especially time management. By solving scheduling problems quickly and precisely, the company can get more profit. On that note, this paper focused on unrelated PMS problems, which did not consider the inherent uncertainty in processing time and set up time by minimizing the makespan and tardiness. This paper aimed to minimize the makespan and tardiness using timing considerations. This paper described how to schedule unrelated parallel machines using the Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) Algorithm approach. The ACO is beneficial for inherent parallelism problems and can provide fast and reasonable solutions. This study revealed that the results of ACO Algorithm scheduling were obtained under a steady condition in iteration 30467. This condition can be interpreted that the makespan and tardiness value is close to 2.75%. By minimizing the makespan and tardiness, the delay of product delivery to consumers can be anticipated. Moreover, a company can maintain customer satisfaction and increase its profit.
