Abstract

The development of digital media and Artificial Intelligence (AI) has brought fundamental changes to various aspects of human life, including education, da’wah, and religious practices. On the one hand, digital technology provides easier access to information, learning efficiency, and opportunities for the transformation of Islamic education. On the other hand, it also g presents serious challenges in the form of ethical crises, moral degradation, dehumanization, and the potential distortion of spiritual values. This article aims to analyze the integration of Islamic values in the utilization of digital media and AI in the modern technological era as an effort to maintain a balance between technological advancement and human values. This study employs a qualitative approach using a library research method by examining primary and secondary sources, including the Qur’an, Hadith, classical Islamic texts, and contemporary scholarly literature related to Islamic ethics and technology. The discussion reveals that Islamic values such as tawhid, trust (amanah), justice, responsibility, and noble character, grounded in the framework of maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah, can serve as an ethical foundation for the development and utilization of digital media and AI. The integration of these values is essential to ensure that technology functions as a means of public welfare rather than merely a tool of technical efficiency, thereby remaining aligned with Islamic spiritual and humanitarian objectives.

Abstract

Studies on Islamic humanism have largely been situated within normative philosophical discourse and have not been sufficiently operationalized within Islamic education, particularly in relation to faith development and moral formation. This study aims to analyze the concept of Islamic humanism and its implications for akhlaq formation and holistic learner development in the context of Islamic education. Employing a conceptual library research approach, this study examines primary and secondary sources, including the Qur’an, Hadith, works of classical and contemporary Muslim philosophers and scholars, as well as Islamic education literature. The analytical framework is grounded in Islamic anthropology, particularly the concepts of fitrah, human dignity (karāmah al-insān), and akhlaq as the foundation of education. The findings indicate that Islamic humanism is theocentric in nature, positioning human dignity as inseparable from moral and spiritual responsibility to Allah SWT. From an Islamic education perspective, Islamic humanism contributes to faith development, moral cultivation, and holistic learner formation encompassing spiritual, moral, intellectual, and social dimensions. This study offers an original conceptual contribution by positioning Islamic humanism not merely as a philosophical discourse but as a pedagogical framework relevant to akhlaq and character education in contemporary Islamic education.

Abstract

Dikotomi antara ilmu umum dan ilmu agama merupakan polemik epistemologis yang terus diperdebatkan dalam diskursus keilmuan Islam. Dikotomi ini kerap melahirkan mispersepsi bahwa ilmu umum berada di luar kerangka ilmu agama, padahal pandangan tersebut bertentangan dengan prinsip integralistik dalam Islam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji konsep epistemologi Islam—khususnya bayani, burhani, dan irfani—serta menganalisis kontribusinya terhadap pengembangan ilmu umum, terutama dalam bidang humaniora. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam tradisi intelektual Islam klasik tidak dikenal pemisahan antara ilmu agama dan ilmu umum, karena keduanya dipandang sebagai satu kesatuan yang saling melengkapi dalam memahami realitas dan mengaktualisasikan ajaran Islam. Epistemologi Islam melalui pendekatan integratif-interkonektif menawarkan kerangka konseptual yang menghubungkan ilmu keagamaan dengan ilmu alam, sosial, dan humaniora. Pendekatan ini tidak hanya memperkaya khazanah keilmuan, tetapi juga mendorong proses objektivikasi ilmu sebagaimana dikemukakan oleh Kuntowijoyo, di mana ilmu yang berakar dari nilai-nilai Islam dapat diterima secara universal sebagai pengetahuan yang rasional dan relevan, termasuk oleh masyarakat non-Muslim.

Abstract

Children with special needs, known as ABK, are children who are educated to train and increase their potential. Special special schools play a role in providing assistance in understanding the situation that occurs around ABK through religious education assistance to form good character and assistance through the development of existing skills in ABK. The research aims to find out the role of SLBN Pidie in assisting children with special needs in Pidie Regency with a qualitative approach, collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentary study techniques, and completing the results of the research the author also uses literature review. The results of this study show that the role of SLBN Pidie in assisting children with special needs has not been running in accordance with the procedure, namely: (1) the number of general teachers who teach at SLBN Pidie, (2) the mixing of students with various disabilities in one class due to lack of facilities, (3) the absence of parental involvement in the mentoring process carried out at school. Researchers suggest that schools often conduct training for SLBN Pidie teachers to improve teacher competence in the education of children with special needs.

Abstract

Multiple occurrences of the pandemic have happened throughout human history. In Aceh, the westernmost province of Indonesia, the plague is known as Taeun, from the term Taeun Ijabroek, or the plague that attacks the lowly in dirty, bad clothes. It becomes Taeun Wabasampoh, the plague that attacks anyone, including the king and ulee balang (the local administrators). In November of 1873, a cholera outbreak reached Aceh, brought by the Dutch army. In December of the same year, the death toll reached 150, and 500 others were treated. In 1876, the death toll reached 1,400 as a result of Taeun. In 1947 and 1960s, another smallpox outbreak struck Aceh. This present study uses a qualitative method by using library inquiry with a descriptive analysis approach. Formulating the problem, how could the government's policy help deal with Taeun's outbreak in Aceh? Research indicates that the government's policy on the treatment of pandemics is divided into preventive and curative measures, whether through the medical or non-medical fields. Medical curative is performed by giving standard medicines to patients, while traditional curative is conventionally conducted by giving traditional medicines like herbs. Preventive measures are taken to keep ourselves and the environment clean. Judging from the traditional Acehnese home that offers water pots on the front side of the house next to the main door, providing isolation for the sick, the tulak bala (disaster prevention supplication) ceremony is performed by praying together. Additionally, advertising and vaccinations are used in contemporary preventive measures.
