Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis that can attack the lungs and other organs. Tuberculosis (TB) is still a global priority health problem because Indonesia is one of the countries with the highest number of TB cases in the world. It is estimated that around 845.000 Indonesians in 2019 suffer from tuberculosis. Around 92,700 people die from TB in Indonesia per year. The purpose of this study was to determine the environmental risk factors with the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis (TB). The method in this study uses the literature review method by selecting data sources according to the desired topic and criteria. The data base used in the search for sources is Google Scholar, ejournal.undip.ac.id, and Portal Garuda, with the keywords pulmonary tuberculosis, TB incidence factors, tuberculosis environmental factors, and the physical condition of the TB patient's house. The results of studies from 10 scientific journals on environmental risk factors for TB disease show that ventilation area, occupancy density, lighting intensity, humidity and room temperature are risk factors for TB incidence.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is still one of the world's public health problems even though TB ??control efforts have been implemented in many countries since 1995. Of all the MDG indicators for TB in Indo-nesia, currently only the target of reducing the incidence rate has been achieved. A bigger and more integrated effort is needed so that Indonesia can achieve the SDG target by 2030. How-ever, the burden of TB in Indonesia is still very high, it is estimated that HIV prevalence among TB patients is 6,2%. The number of TB-RO cases is estimated to be 6,700 cases originating from 1,9% of TB-RO cases from new TB cases and there are 12% TB-RO cases from TB with repeat treatment. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of TB risk factors on the incidence of pulmonary TB in Indonesia and to identify the most dominant risk factors. This is a literature review of several journals and books. The risk factors that influence the incidence of pulmonary TB are socio-economic factors, demographic factors, environmental health factors, household energy factors/cooking fuel, TB preventive action factors, smoking habits, contact factors with TB sufferers and symptom factors and treatment history. previous. Meanwhile, envi-ronmental health factors include the house and its environment such as the type of walls, humi-dity, air temperature, type of floor, area of ??ventilation, lighting, and occupancy density.

Abstract

Malaria is still a serious problem of health in tropical and subtropical climates. The potential for malaria has become a global concern with increasing morbidity and mortality rates. Millions of people die every year, and 80% of them occur in children. Indonesia is included in the highest level of malaria excess in the world, after India in 2020. In 2021, malaria in Indonesia reached 94,610 cases. Of 34 provinces in Indonesia, 31 provinces still have confirmed cases of malaria. Malaria is caused by the female Anopheles mosquito containing plasmodium. Anopheles mosquitoes have preferred behavior in the process of breeding, resting, and biting, according to the environmental conditions of their habitat. Therefore, this literature discusses several environmental quality factors (temperature, humidity, rainfall, wall conditions, gauze wire on ventilation, ceiling of the house, presence of bushes, and presence of standing water) and the density of Anopheles larvae on the incidence of malaria. This research was conducted in the form of a literature review using the Sinta database as reference material. Based on a study of 16 scientific journals, there were 11 scientific journals regarding significant risk factors for the incidence of malaria and 5 journals regarding Anopheles larvae density.Malaria is still a serious problem of health in tropical and subtropical climates.
