Abstract

This article investigates the continuous social history of Pengajian Langgar in South Kalimantan, initiated by Shaikh Muhammad Arsyad al-Banjary and his descendants until the present day. This research is important because Pengajian in South Kalimantan, until today, remains maintaining its tradition. This study used literature and interviews as methods. The paper finds that the spread of Islamic teachings from Mecca officially began in the mid-18th century. His pioneering was Shaikh Muhammad Arsyad Al-Banjary (1122-1227 H./1710 – 1812 M.). These are the scholars who developed the pengajian system in South Kalimantan. Pengajian is a system of teaching that disseminates the teachings of Islam in this area at the beginning of the residence of the scholars concerned. However, many are taking place in Langgar. Until 1920, in almost every langgar, Tuan Guru provided themselves to conduct Pengajian in this area.

Abstract

Innovative mathematics education plays a crucial role in providing meaningful learning experiences. This approach can be realized by linking mathematical concepts to everyday situations, making the learning process more relevant and engaging for students. One approach that can be applied is introducing local cultural values, which are reflected in the integration of cultural elements into mathematics education. This process is known as ethnomathematics. Ethnomathematics-based learning can be seen in various motifs of Benang Bintik batik, which is a distinctive feature of the batik from Central Kalimantan Province. This research is exploratory, aimed at discovering the factors that influence the occurrence of a phenomenon or to understand the research object more deeply. The study was conducted at the Batik Benang Bintik Paramita production house located on Badak XXV Street, Bukit Tunggal Subdistrict, Palangka Raya City. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results revealed information about the production process of stamped and hand-drawn batik, as well as some of the philosophies embedded in the Benang Bintik batik motifs. The philosophies in these motifs include hopes to God or ancestors, humans, and other creatures (the balanga motif); depictions of the three levels of the universe according to the beliefs of the Dayak Ngaju tribe (the batang garing motif); symbols of courage, protection, strength, and Dayak identity (the talawang motif); the bond between humans (the kalalawit and bajakah kalalawit motifs); and nobility and protection (the enggang bird motif). Additionally, the Benang Bintik motifs also contain mathematical concepts such as points, lines, angles, flat shapes, and geometric transformations. Therefore, these motifs can be used as innovative, contextual learning media for mathematics, while supporting the preservation of local culture.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Eggs of Arabic chicken (Gallus turcicus) have a high nutritional value and distinct traits, although they have a short shelf-life (about 17 d) and are prone to contamination. To address this issue, drying methods such as oven-drying, spray-drying, and freeze-drying can be employed to convert eggs to flour. This study investigated the physicochemical and microbiological properties of Arab chicken egg flour produced using various drying procedures to give comparative data and aid in the development of novel egg-based products. The study found that different drying processes had substantial (p <0.05) effects on color (L*, a*, b*), moisture, ash, fat, and protein contents. The freeze-drying method produced the best results, including color with a brightness level (L) of 66.69, redness (a*) of 22.73, and yellowness (b*) of 51.23; moisture of 1.53%; ash content of 7.04%; fat of 36.94%; protein of 51.73%; and total microbial contamination of 1.2 × 102 cfu/g. The freeze-drying process fulfills the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Standard, making it a useful reference for drying procedures that preserve the quality and shelf life of Arabic chicken eggs. Abstract

Problem-solving ability is an essential competency in mathematics learning because it forms the foundation for developing critical, logical, and innovative thinking skills. Therefore, research on its development is of great importance. This study aims to systematically describe research trends in the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model to improve students’ mathematical problem-solving skills. The approach used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. A total of 25 articles that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were analyzed based on publication year, educational level, research subjects, and research methods. The findings show that publications from 2021 to 2025 fluctuate, with 2 (8%), 7 (28%), 5 (20%), 8 (32%), and 3 (12%) articles, respectively. Based on the educational level, 9 (36%) studies were conducted at the elementary level, 10 (40%) at the junior high school level, 5 (20%) at the senior high school/vocational level, and 1 (4%) at the university level. Regarding research subjects, 24 (96%) articles involved students and 1 (4%) involved university students. In terms of methodology, quantitative research was more dominant than qualitative, with 17 (68%) using quantitative approaches and 8 (32%) using qualitative ones. Overall, the SLR results indicate that studies on the implementation of the PBL model in mathematical problem-solving are predominantly quantitative, mostly conducted at the elementary and junior high school levels, and exhibit fluctuating publication trends from 2021 to 2025. Future research is recommended to expand educational levels, diversify research subjects, and combine various methodological approaches for more comprehensive findings.
