Abstract

Infertility is a physical health problem of the reproductive system that makes it difficult for husbands and/or spouses to have children. Infertility in married couples might have an impact on family resilience. The purpose of this study is to explain methods to strengthen family resilience in infertile married couples. Non-random purposive sampling was used to select 8 informants (4 couples). This is a qualitative study utilizing a descriptive methodology. Semi-structured interviews and documentation were used to obtain data. Interactive models are used to analyze data. The findings of this study indicate that infertility has an effect on the psychological state of married couples, such as feelings of loneliness, sadness, jealousy, inferiority, and so on. Internal and environmental factors influence family resilience in married couples enduring infertility. Efforts made to build family resilience include thinking positively, not exaggerating problems, not demanding or blaming each other, being optimistic about having children, accepting each other's shortcomings and strengths, always communicating openly, trusting each other, supporting each other, helping each other, caring for each other, loving each other, understanding each other, filling each other's emptiness, always being together, strengthening each other, always being loyal to one's partner, living happily, surrendering to God, being grateful for all circumstances, and doing activities that one enjoys. The practical consequences of this study for married couples battling infertility are the ability to recover from challenging circumstances, as well as the ability to find and make efforts to develop a family.

Abstract

The existence of a pandemic has limited all sectors of activity, one of which is the education sector. In March 2020, distance learning began to be implemented in Indonesia, where students experienced problems during the implementation. The sample was undergraduate students participating in distance learning. This study used quantitative research with the correlational research design with multiple regression analysis involving 408 students participating in distance learning. The motivated Strategy for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ) was used to measure self-regulated learning, the General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES) was used to measure self-efficacy, the Centrality of Religiosity Scale (CRS) was used to measure religiosity, and the parental social support compiled by Fitrotin was used to measure parental social support. Data analysis used linear regression. The results of the study revealed that self-efficacy, religiosity, and parental social support had a relationship with self-regulated learning. This is indicated by a positive Beta = 8.590, a p-value of 0.001 (p <0.005), a regression (F value) of 97.176, and an effective contribution to self-regulated learning of 41.9%. Programs to increase self-efficacy, religiosity, and parental social support are very important to increase self-regulated learning.

Abstract

ABSTRAK:  Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh mindfulness spiritual Islam dalam meningkatkan keikhlasan pada asisten praktikum pada sebuah universitas. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif eksperimen. Jumlah partisipan 46 asisten didapat dengan teknik purposive sampling, 23 asisten di kelompok eksperimen dan 23 di kelompok kontrol. Intervensi yang digunakan pelatihan mindfulness spiritual Islam yang terdiri dari 4 tahap yaitu tafakur, muhasabah, taubat, dan tawakal. Metode pengumpulan data terdiri dari survei awal, pre-test, post-test, dan penugasan. Teknik analisis data survei awal menggunakan analisis tematik, uji hipotesis menggunakan uji paired sample T Test. Pengukuran keikhlasan menggunakan Skala ikhlas yang disusun oleh Chizanah dan Hadjam. Hasil penelitian menunjukan mindfulness spiritual Islam tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan keikhlasan dengan nilai Sig.0.184 > 0.05.  Hal ini kemungkinan disebabkan karena karakter asisten yang beragam seperti kurangnya kesadaran dan keinginan untuk berubah. Kata kunci: Asisten, Keikhlasan, Mindfulness Spiritual Islam. ABSTRACT: The study aims to examine the effect of Islamic spiritual mindfulness on increasing sincerity among laboratory assistants at a university. A quantitative experimental approach was employed, involving 46 participants selected through purposive sampling, with 23 in the experimental group and 23 in the control group. The intervention consisted of Islamic spiritual mindfulness training, which included four stages: contemplation (tafakur), self-reflection (muhasabah), repentance (taubat), and reliance on God (tawakal). Data collection methods included an initial survey, pre-test, post-test, and assignments. The initial survey was analyzed using thematic analysis, while hypothesis testing was conducted with a paired sample t-test. Sincerity was measured using the Sincerity Scale developed by Chizanah and Hadjam. The results revealed that Islamic spiritual mindfulness had no significant effect on increasing sincerity (Sig. 0.184 > 0.05). This outcome may be attributed to participants' diverse characteristics, such as low awareness and a lack of willingness to change. Abstract

Asisten praktikum perlu memiliki beberapa soft skill salah satunya komunikasi interpersonal. Komunikasi interpersonal sangat penting karena mereka berhubungan langsung dengan mahasiswa saat memberikan materi di kelas serta pelayanan yang diperlukan mahasiswa yang berkaitan dengan praktikum. Semakin baik komunikasi interpersonal, maka semakin meningkatkan hubungan positif antara mahasiswa maupun antar asisten. Komunikasi interpersonal dapat ditingkatkan dengan memberikan pelatihan asertivitas. Tujuan pengabdian ini agar asisten dapat meningkatkan komunikasi interpersonal melalui pelatihan asertivitas. Subjek pelatihan adalah asisten praktikum yang berjumlah 30 orang yang berjenis kelamin laki-laki dan Perempuan yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelokmpok kontrol. Pelatihan asertivitas dilaksanakan pada tanggal 27 Januari 2024 selama + 120 menit. Komunikasi interpersonal diukur dengan menggunakan skala komunikasi interpersonal yang disusun oleh peneliti. Analisis data statistik menggunakan analisis mann whitney u. Hasil menunjukkan pelatihan asertivitas tidak memberikan dampak signifikan terhadap komunikasi interpersonal pada asisten praktikum. Hal ini disebabkan beberapa faktor yaitu pemilihan waktu yang kurang tepat, peserta datang terlambat, dan permasalahan atau fenomena yang diangkat saat role play kurang sesuai dengan permasalahan yang terjadi di lingkungan asisten pada setiap mata kuliah praktikum. Saran yang diberikan peneliti yaitu mempertimbangkan waktu pelaksanaan pelatihan, pelatihan bisa terdiri dari satu mata kuliah, dan mengembangkan modul yang disesuaikan dengan teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian.

Abstract

The integration of online learning greatly affects final-year students who are working on their thesis. One common challenge they face is academic procrastination. This quantitative study aimed to examine the relationship between self-control, time management, and authoritarian parenting on students’ academic procrastination. A total of 350 final-year students from the Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta were selected as participants through a convenience sampling method. Data was collected using scales for academic procrastination, self-control, time management, and authoritarian parenting. Data was analyzed using multiple regression, resulting in an F-value of 94.506 and a p-value of .000. The results showed that selfcontrol, time management, and authoritarian parenting were significantly correlated with academic procrastination. The beta coefficients for self-control and academic procrastination, as well as time management and academic procrastination, were negative, with values of -.286 and -.261, respectively. This indicated that high self-control and time management could reduce academic procrastination. Moreover, authoritarian parenting showed a significant value of .069, suggesting that students getting exposed to higher levels of such parenting style were more likely to engage in academic procrastination. The effective contribution of self-control, time management, and authoritarian parenting to academic procrastination was found to be 45%. Thus, improving self-control could be an effective strategy for reducing academic procrastination.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengurangi perilaku agresivitas verbal pada siswa SMP melalui pelatihan manajemen diri. Subjek dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu 10 siswa SMP X di Surakarta yang dipilih berdasarkan hasil catatan guru BK yang menunjukkan bahwa siswa tersebut melakukan perilaku agresivitas verbal dengan frekuensi paling banyak. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah Verbal Aggressiveness Scale (VAS) untuk memberikan pretetst dan juga posttest. Analisis data menggunakan program Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) dengan uji statistik Wilcoxon. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan terjadi penurunan secara signifikan rata-rata perilaku agresivitas verbal 75.90 menjadi 49.90. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan manajemen diri secara signifikan dapat mengurangi perilaku agresivitas verbal.

Abstract

Understanding learning styles is important for students. Students will be able to absorb lessons well if they adjust to their learning styles. Therefore, students need to understand their learning styles to improve their learning outcomes. Learning style training can be done to improve students' understanding of learning styles. The training method was chosen as an intervention because it is designed to help students understand the most effective way of learning according to their individual tendencies. Through this training, students are given space to explore learning styles that suit their conditions, whether visual, auditory, or kinesthetic learning styles. After understanding learning styles, students are expected to be able to increase learning effectiveness, maximize their potential, and be more confident in facing learning challenges. Data collection techniques used in this training include questionnaires, interviews, learning style classification instruments, and Pre-Tests and Post-Tests. The results of the training showed an increase in knowledge and understanding of learning styles in grade 12 TSM 1 students.

Abstract

Membaca permulaan masih menjadi perhatian khusus terutama di Indonesia. Dalam mengembangkan kemampuan membaca permulaan pada anak usia dini masih didapati banyak variasi metode yang digunakan oleh guru di sekolah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui bagaimana aktivitas stimulasi yang dilakukan oleh guru dalam mengembangakan kemampuan membaca permulaan di salah satu sekolah di Yogyakarta. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, dan guru kelas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Keabsahan data yang digunakan yaitu menggunakan triangulasi. Tahapan penelitian yaitu : pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa guru memberikan stimulasi membaca menggunakan beberapa metode yang bervariasi yaitu dengan game, lagu, dan bercerita. Media yang digunakan dalam memberikan stimulasi yaitu flashcard dan buku bacaan. Terdapat beberapa faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi kemampuan membaca permulaan diantaranya (1) peran guru dalam penataan kelas dan penggunaan metode stimulasi yang menyenangkan, serta mengulang-ulang pengenalan huruf (2) peran keluarga dalam mengulang dan membiasakan pengenalan huruf di sekolah seperti membacakan buku cerita sebelum tidur, (3) peran teman sebaya yang sudah lebih mengenal huruf. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan baca tulis anak usia dini, perlu stimulasi yang menyenangkan.

Abstract

Mengenalkan Bahasa Inggris anak usia dini membutuhkan sebuah stimulasi yang dapat dilakukan di sekolah dan di rumah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan aktivitas stimulasi kemampuan Bahasa Inggris anak usia dini di sekolah X Yogyakarta dengan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Partisipan dalam penelitian 6 guru kelas dan 1 kepala sekolah. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas stimulasi di sekolah X Yogyakarta menggunakan metode demonstrasi melalui instruksi Bahasa Inggris sederhana. Contoh instruksi yang disampaikan: “open your hand, pray before/after study/eating”, “take off your shoes on the shelf”. Kemampuan yang dicapai oleh anak setelah diberikan aktivitas stimulasi, anak mampu menyimak dan memahami makna instruksi yang disampaikan guru serta anak mulai berani mencoba berdialog menggunakan Bahasa Inggris. Kemampuan Bahasa Inggris anak dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal yang meliputi motivasi dalam diri anak dan faktor eksternal meliputi guru, karyawan sekolah, orangtua dan keluarga.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a psychometric instrument, the Santri Friendship Attachment Scale (SFAS), to measure friendship attachment among boarding students (santri) in Indonesian pesantren, especially in the context of ghasab behavior, a normalized act of borrowing without permission. Employing a mixed-methods design, the research was conducted in five stages: qualitative interviews, expert validation using Aiken’s V, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), and reliability testing. Initial qualitative data were gathered from santri and religious teachers to inform item development. Content validity was assessed by seven raters using Aiken’s V, resulting in 30 items exceeding the 0.70 threshold. EFA and CFA were conducted on data from 182 students across three pesantren using SPSS v23, revealing a final structure of 11 items across four factors: emotional support, brotherhood among friends, reciprocal relationships, and self-disclosure. The instrument demonstrated acceptable internal consistency (α = 0.728). The SFAS offers a valid and reliable tool to explore peer attachment and its influence on behavioral norms in communal educational settings.
