Abstract

Zeolite A was used as hydrocracking catalyst to convert cooking oil into potential renewable fuels. The experiment was performed by characterize the diffraction, and pore properties the synthetic zeolite and it was confirmed the synthetic zeolite was zeolite A. The hydrocracking process of waste cooking oil was carried out in semi-fixed batch reactor system at 450° C for 2 hours, under the hydrogen flow of 20 ml/minute. The diffractogram and Si/Al ratio, 1.6, were matched to zeolite A properties, with the surface area, pore diameter, and pore volume were, 1.163 m2/g, 3.93 nm, and 0.001 cc/g, respectively. Liquid product from hydrocracking process of cooking oil consisted of 28.99% alkane and alkene 26.59% that are potential as renewable fuels.Keywords: waste cooking oil; zeolite A; hydrocracking

Abstract

The development of the textile industry has had a positive impact on economic growth in Indonesia. Batik is one of the products of the textile industry that is proliferating in Indonesia. Dyes are the main ingredients in the textile and batik industrial process. One of the dyes used is indigosol, and about 15% of the total dyes used will result in industrial liquid waste. The presence of these dyes can damage the water and soil ecosystems. Liquid sewage treatment is needed to minimize the amount of contamination against groundwater and surface water. A standard method used in the handling of liquid waste is by adsorption process with various adsorbents. Commonly used adsorbents are silica gel, activated alumina, zeolite, polymer, and activated carbon. Activated charcoal from mangroves becomes an alternative to natural adsorbents with a large surface area. The ability of activated charcoal as an adsorbent was the focus of this study, both by the activation process by Fe cations and the addition of hydrogen peroxide activators. Characterization using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer is performed to see changes in indigosol concentration during the adsorption process. Results have shown that charcoal with Fe and H2O2 give a better performance on adsorption of indigosol than pure charcoal. Removal of indigosol by charcoal + Fe and H2O2 can reach 51%.

Abstract

Digital literacy learning is important in today's digital era, especially at the elementary school level. Digital literacy involves using skills in using digital technology and managing information effectively. In a short time, digital technology has changed the way we learn and work. Therefore, it is important to understand the effect of digital literacy learning on students' interest in learning at the elementary school level. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of digital literacy learning on students' interest in learning at the elementary school level. The research method used in this study is a qualitative research method with a literature review design. Data analysis was carried out by identifying the main findings from previous studies.

Abstract

Partisipasi anak menurut pandangan orangtua adat dapat dipengaruhi oleh norma dan adat istiadat, peran keluarga, akses terhadap informasi, pengaruh tokoh masyarakat, kondisi sosial ekonomi, kegiatan komunitas, kesehatan dan kesejahteraan anak. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana partisipasi anak di kampung Benda Kerep dan data yang dihasilkan dijadikan salah satu data penunjang penelitian selanjutnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam peneliltian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan tangga partisipasi Roger Hart sebagai pedoman menganalisis data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa partisipasi anak di Kampung Benda Kerep berada pada anak tangga ke 4 yaitu anak dikonsultasi dan diinformasikan. Anak-anak usia 4-6 tahun sudah memiliki inisiatif dan senang dilibatkan dalam setiap kegiatan baik dirumah maupun di lingkungan masyarakat. Keikutsertaan anak dalam masyarakat dapat mengembangkan kemandirian anak dan rasa aman yang dapat mempengaruhi keputusan dalam memilih sesuatu. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan memberikan partisipasi anak sesuai dengan usianya dan kesiapan anak, maka tidak hanya memperkuat pengalaman anak sebagai individu berharga saja, tetapi juga membantu membangun fondasi yang kuat bagi partisipasi masyarakat aktif dan berkelanjutan di masa depan

Abstract

Kurangnya pemahaman siswa dalam menerjemahkan soal dan ketelitian mengerjakannya sehingga berakibat jawaban siswa tidak maksimal. Melihat permasalahan tersebut, maka diperlukanlah instrumen tes untuk mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen three-tier test untuk mengetahui miskonsepsi. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan 4D yang terdiri dari define, design, develop, dan disseminate; dan dimodifikasi menjadi 3D yang dibatasi sampai tahap develop. Adapun subjek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII di salah satu SMP di Sungai Raya sebanyak 15 orang. Teknik pengumpulan datanya menggunakan teknik pengukuran dan teknik komunikasi tidak langsung, dengan menggunakan instrumen tes, lembar validasi, dan angket. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini instrumen Three-Tier Test berbasis kemampuan representasi matematis untuk mengetahui miskonsepsi siswa pada materi Statistika di kelas VIII siswa SMP di Sungai Raya layak untuk digunakan sebagai instrumen dalam pembelajaran dengan rata-rata kevalidannya adalah 86,21% dan rata-rata kepraktisannya 90,75% dengan kriteria masing-masing sangat valid dan sangat prakris. The lack of understanding of students in translating questions and the accuracy of doing them so that the student's answers are not optimal. Seeing these problems, a test instrument is needed to identify student misconceptions. This study used the Research and Development method intending to develop a three-tier test instrument to find out misconceptions. This study uses a 4D design consisting of defining, designing, developing, disseminating; and modifying into 3D which is limited to the development stage. The subjects of this study were 15 class VIII students at one of the junior high schools in Sungai Raya. The data collection technique uses measurement techniques and indirect communication techniques, using test instruments, validation sheets, and questionnaires. This study concludes that a three-tier test instrument based on mathematical representation ability to find out students' misconceptions about statistics in grade VIII junior high school students in Sungai Raya is feasible to use as an instrument in learning with an average validity of 86.21% and an average practicality of 90 .75% with each criterion being very valid and very practical.

Abstract

Model pembelajaran Science Technology Engineering Art and Mathematic (STEAM) merupakan model pembelajaran yang memadukan berbagai disiplin ilmu untuk mengembangkan keterampilan abad ke-21 pada peserta didik, salah satunya yakni kemampuan berpikir kritis (HOTS). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana efektivitas pembelajaran STEAM terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis (HOTS) pada anak usia dini. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran STEAM secara signifikan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis pada anak usia 5-6 tahun, di antaranya: (1) anak mampu mengidentifikasi media yang disiapkan guru, (2) anak mampu mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan hasil eksperimen, (3) anak mampu mengenali perubahan, proses bereksperimen, dan membandingkan hasil eksperimen, (4) anak mampu memecahkan masalah sederhana, dan (5) anak mampu mengekspresikan opini terkait eksperimen yang dilakukan. Selain itu, metode pembelajaran STEAM memberikan dampak terhadap aspek nilai agama dan moral; aspek fisik motorik; dan aspek sosial emosional. Kesimpulannya, metode pembelajaran STEAM memberikan dampak positif dan signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis anak usia 5-6 tahun, selain terhadap aspek nilai agama dan moral, aspek fisik motorik, serta aspek sosial emosional.

Abstract

Toileting habituation is an effort to develop toilet skill that is need to be learnt as early as possible for early childhood’s life skill in the future. This study aims to determine the positive effect of toileting habituation on early childhood aged 3-4 years. In this study, the researchers used a Classroom Action Research (CAR) as the research method. This study was conducted to 10 early childhoods aged 3-4 years in Kober Al Mujahid 2, Pamarican District, Ciamis Regency, West Java. This study was carried out through 2 cycles, at which each cycle was carried out 3 times. The results of the study showed that the habit of toileting had a positive effect on early childhood, at which in the pre-cycle the percentage of early childhood was Very Good Development (BSB) with 0%. Furthermore, in the first cycle the percentage of early childhood was Very Good Development (BSB) increased up to 10%. Then, in the second cycle, the percentage of early childhood periodically increased up to 20% with the achievement of Developing Very Well (BSB). In conclusion, toileting habituation is able to have a positive effect on early childhood’s understanding in maintaining sanitation, fine motor skill, cognitive, and independence in Kober Al Mujahid 2 Bangunsari.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the film "Langit Tak Selamanya Abu-Abu " based on its constituent elements on the sentence structure contained in the film's dialogue. This type and approach of research is qualitative/library research. The research data in this study is a phrase based on its constituent elements, while the source of the data is the film Langit Tak Forever Abu Karya Kemendikbud RI. Data collection techniques using documentation and data analysis techniques using content analysis The results of the study showed, in every dialogue delivered by the characters in the film " Langit Tak Selamanya Abu-Abu " which has a duration of 8 minutes 31 seconds, an analysis of Phrases based on their Constituent Elements can be found, namely 1) Endocentric Phrases, namely phrases that have distribution similarities with their constituent elements, in the film contains only 1 endocentric phrase, namely Attributive Endocentric Phrases, 2) Exocentric Phrases, which are phrases that have no distribution equation with other elements, in the film there are 2 exocentric phrases, namely Prepositional and Conjunctional Exocentric Phrases. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the analysis of phrases in the film " Langit Tak Selamanya Abu-Abu " based on its constituent elements, namely, found 8 data with a total of 48 phrases, with 30 attributive endocentric phrases, 15 conjunctional exocentric phrases, and 3 prepositional exocentric phrases.

Abstract

ABSTRACT  Based on caries history and caries lesion white spot is known as the best indicator in determining caries development. However, these indicators cannot reach the target accuracy of around 80%.  Caries or cavities are problems that are often found in the oral cavity. According to WHO global data (2000) shows 60-90% of school children in industrialized countries have cavities. Based on the results of the 2007 Riskesdas in the province of South Kalimantan, the percentage of the population with dental and oral problems was 29.2%.This activity aims to identify def-t, DMF-T, carry out promotive, preventive and curative, namely by counseling, mass toothbrushes and filling applications with ART fillings on permanent first molars for students at SDN Kurau, Tanah Laut Regency, South Kalimantan Province . The community service target is 100 students. However, only 44 students and 12 parents attended. The results of the def-t examination obtained d = decay or dental caries of 165, e = extraction or teeth that could not be treated 97 teeth and f = fillings was 0, so the number of def-t was 350 teeth with an average of 7.98. Whereas the DMF-T had 80 teeth with an average of 1.82. The caries rate for primary and permanent teeth was high, that is, each child had 7-8 cavities for primary teeth while permanent teeth had cavities 2. Restoration with ART materials that can performed as many as 72 teeth. And 2 months later an evaluation was carried out, the results obtained were that 68 teeth were still holding on with the ART fillings, while 4 teeth had fallen out. The fact found in the field is that dental caries in primary teeth and permanent teeth is still very high, namely 143 teeth and 80 teeth in students of SDN Kurau, Tanah Laut Regency and what can be done with ART restoration on permanent first molars and referrals to the puskesmas or The hospital performed pulpal treatment and tooth extraction. It is recommended to treat teeth that can still be treated, namely the collaboration of the teacher (school), parents and the health center. Abstract

Kebersihan gigi dan mulut dapat dilihat dari kondisi gigi yang tidak terdapat sisa makanan atau deposit lunak yang menempel pada gigi. Tingkat kebersihan gigi dan mulut dapat berubah dengan adanya kebiasaan menyikat gigi dua kali sehari. Dalam menyikat gigi ada beberapa hal yang perlu diperhatikan, salah satunya adalah alat yang digunakan untuk menyikat gigi yaitu, sikat gigi. Bagian terpenting dari sikat gigi ialah bulu sikat, karena bulu sikat merupakan bagian yang berkaitan langsung dengan permukaan gigi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan antara menyikat gigi menggunakan sikat gigi bulu halus (soft) dan sikat gigi bulu sedang (medium) dengan teknik kombinasi terhadap penurunan debris Index pada siswa Kelas VII SMPN 5 Karang Intan. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan “Two Group Pre-test dan Post-test”, populasi penelitian sebanyak 41 siswa, teknik pengambilan sampel penelitian menggunakan total sampling. Hasil penelitian rata-rata debris Index sebelum menyikat gigi menggunakan sikat gigi bulu halus (soft), didapatkan 1,67 dan sesudah 0,55. Sedangkan rata-rata debris Index sebelum menyikat gigi menggunakan sikat gigi bulu sedang (medium), didapatkan 1,81 dan sesudah 0,41. Berdasarkan hasil uji Independent Sample T-test menunjukkan nilai p = (0,046) < α (0,05). Kesimpulan penelitian yaitu ada perbedaan menyikat gigi menggunakan sikat gigi bulu halus (soft) dan sikat gigi bulu sedang (medium) dengan teknik kombinasi terhadap penurunan debris Index pada siswa Kelas VII SMPN 5 Karang Intan. Disarankan untuk menyikat gigi menggunakan sikat gigi bulu sedang (medium) karena lebih baik dan efektif dalam menurunkan skor debris Index.
