Abstract

This study aims to obtain an innovative android-based chemistry learning media for Chemical Equilibrium material in Class XII MIA. To achieve this goal, research on the type of development using the 4D method has been carried out. The media obtained were tested for feasibility, referring to the feasibility indicators of learning media in the National Education Standards Agency, BSNP involving expert validators. The research result show that(1) An android-based chemistry learning media (ChemsDroid) has been obtained on chemical equilibrium topic.(2). The ChemsDroid media obtained has met the eligibility criteria based on the National Education Standards Agency (BSNP), namely content feasibility, graphic feasibility, language feasibility and presentation feasibility.(3) The results of the perception test showed that students gave a very good response.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the effectivenessproblem based learning model (PBL) using student worksheet on learning outcomes and students’critical thinking skills on the teaching Reaction Rate. The population in this research was grade 11th of SMA Negeri 6 Medan. Classes sample was taken by random sampling, and two classes were selected as a sample. Those two classes will be taught with Problem Based Learning model, the difference is the first class will be used students worksheets and the other class is not. The instrumentto conduct this researchwas  by test and non-test. Based on parametric statistical test, the result of pretest, postest, and students’ critical thinking skills data from those two classes have a normal distribution and homogeny. Hypothesis was tested by using one tailed test with significant level ( ) =0,05. The data from hypothesis testing learning outcomes is tcal  ttable (3,101 1,669), means Hois rejected and Ha is accepted. Hypothesis testing result on students’ learning outcomes using student worksheets is higher than the non-using student worksheet. Critical thinking hypothesis test is tcal  ttable (4,754 1,669), means Hois rejected and Ha is accepted. Hypothesis testing result oncritical thinking using student worksheet is higher than the non-using student worksheet. Contribution of students’ critical thinking to the ups and downs of learning outcomes on the experiment class is 81,5%.

Abstract

Abstract This research aims to develop practical guidance reaction rates accordingto the model of project-based learning and discovery. To know the differencesignificantly increase learning outcomes that learned by using practical guidancemodel of project-based learning and discovery. Determine the effectiveness of thatlearned how to use the guide practical model of project-based learning anddiscovery. Samples were taken by two classes of experimental class I taught usingpractical guide appropriate experimental models of discovery and class II are taughtusing practical guide appropriate project-based learning model. Before do thisresearch practical guidance has been developed, validated by lecturers and teacherswho are experts in their field and tested to school. Based on the results of thequestionnaire tabulation showed that the average value of project-based learningmodel is higher than the average value of the discovery learning model. Thusobtained that correspond practical guidance based model projects more effectivelyapplied in learning compared with corresponding practical guidance discoverylearning model. Meanwhile, after learning outcomes tested that correspond practicalguide more effective discovery learning model applied in learning compared withcorresponding practical guide project-based learning model. This is evident becausethe students in the experimental class I, which uses practical guide with models ofdiscovery in doing practical implementation to fully follow lab procedures with toolsand materials have also been provided to make the students evenly understand thelab work while in the second experiment class requires students to design ownpractice, as well as determine the tools and materials to find yourself in a group. Theapplication of such a practice models still can not fully be done in schools, becausethe ability of the students have not been evenly distributed so that in practice thereis a group of students who dominate the lab work and the other as observers only. Kata kunci:Development Guidance Practical, DiscoveryModel, Project Based Learning.

Abstract

The chemistry module which integrated with Islamic values has already developed in thermochemistry and reaction rate. The aim of this research is to find the availability of Islamic values in student’s handbook, the proper of chemistry module design based on BSNP criteria, and the response to chemistry module which integrated with Islamic values to teacher and university student. This research used the method of research and development. It consists of 3 steps which were analysis, design, and development. The instruments were checklist, questionaire based on BSNP criteria, and response questionnaire. The result shown the lack of Islamic value in student’s handbook, chemistry module design was proper to used because it got the BSNP’s criteria. The teacher and university student’s response are good and need no revision.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine: (1) the effectiveness of Android-based learning media on student learning outcomes in thermochemical material; (2) Student responses to the use of Android-based learning media on thermochemical material; (3) The learning outcomes of students who are taught using Android-based chemistry learning media are the same as the KKM value. This research was conducted at Public High School 5 Medan with a total sample of 68 people. The research instrument consisted of standardized tests and questionnaires. The analytical techniques used are: (1) Two-party t test (Independent Samples T test); and (2) One Sample Test. From the results of this study, it was found that: (1) Anroid-based chemistry learning media was effective on student learning outcomes on thermochemical material, with a t-test of 7.063 which was greater than t-table of 2.00. Then based on the Gain Score, the t-test of 6.843 was obtained, which was greater than the t-table of 2.00; (2) Student responses "Very Interesting" with percentages of 92.27%, 93.93% and 92.12%, respectively, on the use of anroid-based learning media in thermochemical material; (3) The learning outcomes of students who are taught using android-based chemistry learning media are not the same as the KKM value, where , tcount (2.126) > ttable (2.032), means that it has a positive effect on KKM

Abstract

This study aims to determine the highest levels of bioethanol produced through the fermentation process, by looking at the effect of variations in the amount of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, immobilization, and fermentation time, as well as the effect of the amount of Saccharomyces cerevisiae and fermentation time on the ethanol content produced. The highest ethanol content was 39.5 percent in the bioethanol test, with the amount of Saccharomyces cerevisiae 8 grams and fermentation time of 9 days. The treatment given to the number of immobilized Saccharomyces cerevisiae cells and the length of time of fermentation had a major effect on the ethanol content produced, as shown by Anova.

Abstract

Psikomotorik merupakan hasil belajar berupa keterampilan yang harus ditumbuh kembangkan karena sangat diperlukan dalam pemecahan masalah khususnya dibidang kimia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan sumber belajar inovatif berbasis proyek pada pokok bahasan analisis anion untuk membangun kemampuan psikomotorik mahasiswa sehingga kompetensi dapat tercapai dengan baik, serta dapat memfasilitasi mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran jarak jauh. Inovasi yang dilakukan adalah pengintegrasian paket mini proyek, e-modul intraktif, serta pengemasannya melalui video pembelajaran. Pembelajaran dilakukan secara daring menggunakan e-learning dan video pembelajaran. Pembelajaran daring dilakukan secara mandiri sedangkan kegiatan proyek dilakukan secara berkelompok, dimana kegiatan ini bersifat kontekstual. Setiap mahasiswa harus merencanakan susunan kegiatan proyek yang akan dilakukan dengan pemilihan sampel, alat dan bahan, serta metode yang tepat dan mengacu pada dasar teori yang relevan. Kemampuan psikomotorik dapat dinilai melalui kegiatan dan laporan proyek, dimana penilaian subjektif untuk kelas eksperimen (M = 82,29 ± 6,54) dengan kategori ‘sangat baik’ dan kelas kontrol (M = 77,77 ± 4,64) dengan kategori ‘baik’. Mahasiswa yang menerapkan sumber belajar inovatif berbasis proyek memberikan respon yang sangat baik (M = 3,3 ± 0,49) saat pembelajaran. Terdapat korelasi yang sangat baik antara respon dengan peningkatan kemampuan psikomotorik mahasiswa (Sig. 0,05). Sumber belajar inovatif berbasis proyek layak untuk diterapkan pada pembelajaran analisis anion dalam mencapai kompetensi kimia analitik.

Abstract

Students' motivation in learning activities carried out in the laboratory really needs to be improved in order to improve Higher Order Thinking Skills in Teaching Acid-Base Titrations. This study aims to see the innovation of project-based learning resources in improving student learning outcomes in acid-base titration learning. This research is a development research with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implement, Evaluation. The subjects of this study were students of class PSPK D 2019 with purposive sampling technique. Research data were collected through innovative observation sheets of project implementation. The questionnaire refers to the eligibility criteria BSNP, and interviews.To find out the laboratory-assisted project- based learning innovation on students' learning motivation was analyzed using an independent sample t-test with the help of SPSS 25. Keyword: Innovative, Higher Order Thinking ability, and Project-Based Learning.

Abstract

The education system is expected to be able to prepare a learning system that is in accordance with the development of students' career needs. The system can be developed based on skills and competencies that students will also need in the future, especially in science process skills. This study aims to analyze the need for a practicum guide as a support for science process skills-based learning. The type of research conducted is descriptive qualitative research with the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model. The research variables include an analysis of teaching needs and an analysis of the suitability of Core Competencies (KI) and Basic Competencies (KD) to determine competency indicators (GPA) which will be a reference in developing practical instructions based on science process skills. Research shows that the practicum guides currently used are limited to students' ability to follow procedures and do not provide opportunities for students to design predetermined experiments. Based on the results of these studies, it can be concluded that it is necessary to develop a practical guide based on science process skills as a support for the success of chemistry learning both in product, process, and performance skills. Abstract

This study aims to determine the expert team's assessment of acid-base titration e-module based on blended learning with the kvisoft flipbook maker application by BSNP (Badan Standar Nasional Pendidikan). The research type used is research and development modified from development ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. This research is only used until product validation. The data sources in this research were 2 expert validators. The results showed that the expert team's assessment of the acid-base titration e-module based blended learning with the kvisoft flipbook maker application by BSNP on the aspect content feasibility had an average percentage value of 86%, language feasibility of 88%, and presentation feasibility analysis of 85% and concluded that the media was very feasible to use and didn’t need to be revised.
