Abstract

Integrating Social Studies (IPS) into the school curriculum aims to develop students into good citizens. This goal can be achieved if the learning conducted in schools leads to meaningful learning, allowing students to connect the material to real-life behavior. To achieve this, teachers need to design lessons that begin with facts, concepts, and generalizations. Generalization is a cognitive process that allows individuals to draw conclusions from limited experiences and apply them to new situations. Generalization is essential in every subject, aiming to draw conclusions that link the material to the contextual conditions in students' daily lives. Emphasizing generalization in Social Studies aims to connect the material to actions that need to be taken in social life. The importance of generalization in Social Studies learning is closely related to the goal of Social Studies, which is to make students good citizens.

Abstract

The lack of awareness of the younger generation in traffic is something that needs to be a concern for all of us, this can be seen from the data on the high rate of traffic violations and the high number of road accidents. Based on data sources from the Republic of Indonesia police in 2021, there have been 5,350.00 accidents and for traffic violators data in 2021 as many as 29,615.00. Case. This indicates that the public's awareness of traffic ethics is low so that it is not only dangerous for themselves but can also harm others as other road users. This article examines Pancasila as the basic foundation for shaping character in traffic ethics through social studies subjects. Social studies learning emphasizes how to shape the character of students who are implanted in the educational process at school. Through these social studies subjects, students are instilled values and norms that must be a reference in behavior, so that they will form good ethics. Ethics in life includes ethics in traffic, so social studies learning is instilled in how to form good character based on Pancasila. Pancasila is the basic foundation in shaping behavior in accordance with the values that become a reference in life, both in the form of divine values, human values, values of unity, populist values and social values. These values are used as benchmarks and references in behavior, so that they are in line with the goal of social studies learning, which is to make students good citizens.

Abstract

Baby crab consumption has become a growing trend in snack markets across Asia, with rising popularity in at least five countries. Cirebon, situated on the coast of West Java, is a region experiencing particularly high demand for baby crab commodities, notably the locally known "kroyo" crab. However, without adequate information on this species, its future stock sustainability may be compromised. Indonesian regulations governing high-value Crustacea commodities, outlined in Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Regulation Number 16 of 2022, include lobster (Panulirus spp.), mangrove crab (Scylla spp.), and blue swimming crab (Portunus spp.). This study employs both morphological and molecular analyses, utilizing DNA barcoding techniques. Male (AMJ) and female (AMB) crabs were collected in February 2023 from Gebang Waters, Cirebon, Indonesia. Morphological identification followed guidelines established by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) for crabs, while molecular identification utilized the Cytochrome Oxidase I (COI) gene. Morphological features such as carapace characteristics, front-orbital border, and cheliped spine morphology categorize the specimens under the genus Charybdis. Specifically, the presence of two spines in the cheliped indicates classification as Charybdis anisodon, a conclusion supported by molecular analysis revealing a 98.9298.96% similarity with C. anisodon. Further analysis of the stock of this crab species is necessary to enhance awareness of its exploitation and inform sustainable management practices. Keywords:Baby crabDNA barcodingFisheries managementIdentificationMorphological

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to explores parents' and teachers' perceptions of curriculum modifications, the factors influencing their acceptance, and the challenges in implementation. This study employed a systematic literature review method adapted from PRISMA framework guidelines relying on literature sources from Scopus and the Watase Uake tool. Thematic analysis was utilized as the interpretive lens within an integrative review framework involving (1) systematic data extraction, (2) thematic coding, and (3) synthesis. The findings of this study indicate that parents focus more on the impact of modifications on their children's social and emotional development, while teachers emphasize academic effectiveness and technical challenges in implementation. Factors influencing their acceptance include school policy support, involvement in decision-making, and professional training for teachers. The main challenges in implementing an inclusive curriculum include ineffective communication between schools and parents, limited resources, and a lack of teacher training. This study recommends increasing parental involvement in curriculum development, strengthening teacher training, and formulating clearer policies. Closer collaboration between schools, teachers, and parents is key to ensuring the successful modification of the curriculum in inclusive schools. Further studies using an empirical approach are suggested to gain a deeper understanding of the effectiveness of curriculum modifications and their impact on students with special needs.
