Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study the Guided Question method to improve students' literacy skills in SMP Negeri 6 Banda Aceh. This study uses quantitative, experimental research methods that are of the type of Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Data collection consists of pretest and posttest data on scientific literacy on the application of the Guided Inquiry method. Analysis of literacy data is calculated by using the Independent Sample T-test and the Mann-Withney U test. Data obtained from the test of two different parametric means by paired t-test (Independent Sample T-test) class posttest Research Method Inquiry with the Conventional Method class with grade significance of 0.00 considers differences in posttest perception Guided Inquiry Method with Conventional Method classes and two mean difference test with non-parametric test (Mann-Whithney test) n-gain score of research with n-gain control support significance of 0.04 with a significance level of 0 , 05 shows a difference of two on average because it is less than 0.05 or there is an increase in students' literacy skills in the material structure and function of planting with learning using the Guided Inquiry method and increasing learning competence in learning using Conventional methods. The experimental class with initial ability 27.34 and 51.70 final ability while the control class with initial ability 30.80 and 39.17 final ability with an increase in experimental class by 45% and control class 16%. Conclusions agreed that the application of the Inquiry Learning method could significantly increase literacy in SMP Negeri 6 Banda Aceh.Keywords: Guided Inquiry Method, Science Literacy Pelaksanaan penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui metode Guided Inquiry dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains siswa di SMP Negeri 6 Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan Experimental sebagai metode penelitiannya yang berjenis Pretes-Posttest Control Group Design. Pengumpulan data berupa data pretes dan posttest literasi sains terhadap penerapan metode Guided Inquiry. Analisis data literasi sains dihitung dengan uji Independent Sample T-test dan uji Mann-Withney U. Data yang didapat dari uji perbedaan dua rerata parametrik dengan uji-t berpasangan (Independent Sample T-test) posttes kelas Metode Guided Inquiry dengan kelas Metode Konvensional dengan taraf signifikansi 0,00 bermaksudkan bahwa adanya perbedaan posttest Metode Guided Inquiry dengan kelas Metode Konvensional dan uji perbedaan dua rerata dengan uji non-parametrik (uji Mann-Whithney) skor n-gain eksperimen dengan n-gain kontrol memiliki signifikansi 0,04 dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05 menunjukkan adanya perbedaan dua rata-rata karena kurang dari 0,05 atau adanya peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains siswa pada materi struktur dan fungsi tumbuhan dengan pembelajaran menggunakan metode Guided inquiry dan memiliki perbedaan nyata peningkatan pada kelas pembelajaran menggunakan metode Konvensional. Kelas eksperimen secara berurutan kemampuan awal 27,34 dan 51,70 kemampuan akhir sedangkan kelas kontrol memiliki kemampuan awal 30,80 dan 39,17 kemampuan akhir dengan peningkatan kelas eksperimen sebesar 45% dan kelas kontrol 16%. Kesimpulan menyatakan penerapan metode Pembelajaran Guided Inquiry dapat meningkatkan literasi sains secara signifikan di SMP Negeri 6 Banda Aceh.Kata Kunci: Metode Guided Inquiry, Literasi Sains

Abstract

Pining Forest Pining District is one of the Leuser ecosystem areas. High population activities such as illegal logging, forest conversion, and hunting of wild animals, and land clearing by burning forests in the Pining forest area Pining District will impact on bird diversity. Observing data was carried out in August 2019. The purpose of this study  was to determine the level of bird diversity in the Pining forest area of Gayo Lues Regency. The method used in this study is the direct observation method combined with line transect. The results of research conducted in the Pining Forest found 30 species of birds consisting of 21 families. Identification of bird spescies found in the Pining Forest of Gayo Lues Regency with the most species of bird families, namely from the families of Estrildidae and Rhipiduridae, each of which were 3 bird species. Bird Diversity in Pining Forest Gayo Lues District in the Leuser Ecosystem is classified as high (Ĥ = 3.0455) in primary forests, while (Ĥ = 2,434) in secondary forest habitat.Keywords: Species Diversity, Birds, Pining Forest. Hutan Pining Kecamatan Pining adalah salah satu kawasan ekosistem Leuser. Tingginya aktivitas penduduk seperti alih fungsi hutan, penebangan liar, dan perburuan satwa liar, dan  pembukaan lahan dengan cara membakar hutan di kawasan hutan Pining Kecamatan Pining akan berimbas terhadap keanekaragaman burung. Pengamatan data telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus 2019. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat keanekaragaman burung di kawasan Hutan Pining Kabupaten Gayo Lues. Metode yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode observasi langsung (direct observation) dikombinasikan dengan line transect. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan di Hutan Pining didapatkan 30 spesies burung yang terdiri dari 21 famili. Identifikasi jenis burung yang ditemukan di Hutan Pining Kabupaten Gayo Lues dengan famili spesies burung terbanyak yaitu dari famili Estrildidae dan Rhipiduridae yang masing-masing sebanyak 3 spesies burung.Keanekaragaman Burung di Hutan Pining Kabupaten Gayo Lues dalam Kawasan Ekosistem Leuser tergolong tinggi (Ĥ= 3.0455) pada hutan primer, sedang (Ĥ= 2,434) pada habitat hutan sekunder.Kata kunci: Keanekaragaman Spesies, Burung, Hutan Pining.

Abstract

Leachate is the liquid waste contaminated formed due to the influx of external water into the landfill, then rinsing and dissolving the materials on the landfill. Plankon is one of the bio-indicators that can be used to see the level of pollution a body of water. Plankton analysis has been done in laboratory from water that has been taken from leachate ponds at Gampong Jawa, Banda Aceh on August 2016. The aim of this research are to determine similarity index of Plankton. This research uses survey method and to take the sample using purposive random sampling method. Taking samples of plankton was done in three stations. The results were obtained seven species of phytoplankton that is Cymbella sp., Chroococcus sp., Denticula sp., Merismopedia sp., Mougeotia sp., Nitzschia sp., and Triceratium sp. Similarity index of plankton between 1st and 3rd station is 67%, 1st and 2nd station is 60% and 2 and and 3rd station is 60%. The similarity index value indicates that the degree of similarity in the leachate pond is high.Key Words: Similarity, Plankton, leachate ponds

Abstract

Growth is the process of increasing the volume and number of cells so that the size of the body of living things increases. Anodonta woodiana is a species of freshwater mussel as macrozoobenthos that lives in fresh waters and has a relatively sedentary nature. This study aims to determine (1) growth patterns and (2) Anadonta woodiana habitat characteristics based on substrates in the waters of the Aron Patah River, Panga District, Aceh Jaya Regency. This research was conducted in June to July 2019. The type of research used in this research is quantitative descriptive. The method used in this study is a survey method with purposive sampling technique. The location of this study was divided into 3 observation stations. Data were analyzed with the formula of growth patterns and environmental conditions analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the constant value of the estimation of growth pattern (b) ranged from 1.9602 to 2.3681. Habitat characteristics at station I have sand substrate while at station II and III have substrate sand, temperature ranges from 27ºC - 30ºC, with pH ranging from 7.2 - 7.8 and salinity ranges from 24‰ - 30‰. Macrobenthos found in this study were Melanoides torulosa, Paphila undulata, and Pila ampullacea. Vegetation found Hibiscus tiliaceus, Imperata cylindrica, Casuarina equisetifolia and Eichornia crassipes. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the growth pattern of A.woodiana in the Aron Patah River waters is negative allometric.Keywords: Growth patterns, Anadonta woodiana, Habitat, RiverPertumbuhan adalah proses pertambahan volume dan jumlah sel sehingga ukuran tubuh makhluk hidup bertambah besar. Anodonta woodiana adalah salah satu spesies kerang air tawar sebagai makrozoobenthos yang hidup di perairan tawar dan mempunyai sifat hidup yang relatif menetap. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) Pola pertumbuhayangn dan (2) Karakteristik habitat A. woodiana berdasarkan substrat di perairan Sungai Aron Patah Kecamatan Panga Kabupaten Aceh Jaya. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Juni sampai Juli 2019. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah  metode survey dengan teknik Purposive sampling. Lokasi penelitian ini dibagi kedalam 3 stasiun pengamatan. Data dianalisis dengan rumus pola pertumbuhan dan kondisi lingkungan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai konstanta penduga pola pertumbuhan (b) berkisar 1,9602-2,3681. Karakteristik habitat pada stasiun I bersubstrat pasir sedangkan pada stasiun II dan III bersubstrat lempung psasir, suhu berkisar antara 27ºC - 30ºC, dengan pH berkisar antara 7,2 - 7,8 dan salinitas berkisar antara 24‰ – 30‰. Makrobenthos yang temukan pada penelitian ini Melanoides torulosa, Paphila undulata, dan Pila ampullacea. Vegetasi yang temukan Hibiscus tiliaceus, Imperata cylindrica, Casuarina equisetifolia dan Eichornia crassipes. Berdasarkan dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pola pertumbuhan A.woodiana di perairan Sungai Aron Patah bersifat allometrik negatif.Kata kunci: pola pertumbuhan, Anadonta woodiana, habitat, sungai

Abstract

ABSTRACTPolymesoda one of the groups of shells that live in mangrove ecosystems, Polymesoda has a role for the environment in recycling organic matter, the mineralization process, maintaining the balance of the food chain and as a detritus eater. This study aims to analyze the distribution patterns of Polymesoda in the Mangrove Ecosystem in the Setia Bakti District Aceh Jaya District. The study was conducted in January 2020 and retrieved data using a survey method with a purposive sampling technique. The study was conducted in two areas with three locations, with each station made of three stations and five sampling plots for each station. Distribution patterns were analyzed using the Morisita Index formula. The results obtained are the distribution patterns ranging from 1.0 -1, 76. The conclusion was obtained that the distribution pattern in the Mangrove Ecosystem of the Setia Bakti District of Aceh Jaya Regency is at location I and location III namely Clustering and at location II that is random.Keywords: Morisita, Polymesoda, Setia BaktiABSTRAKPolymesoda salah satu kelompok kerang yang berhabitat di kawasan ekosistem  mangrove,  Polymesoda ini memiliki  peranan bagi lingkungan sebagai  pendaur ulang bahan organik, dalam proses mineralisasi dan menjaga keseimbangan rantai makanan dan sebagai pemakan detritus. Penelitian dilakukan pada dua kawasan dengan tiga lokasi yang masing-masing lokasi dibuat tiga stasiun dan pada setiap stasiun ditetapkan lima plot sampling. Pola  distribusi dianalisis dengan rumus Indeks Morisita,. Hasil yang didapatkan yaitu pola distribusi berkisar dari 1,0 -1, 76. Kesimpulan diperoleh bahwa Pola distribusi di Kawasan Ekosistem Mangrove Kecamatan Setia Bakti Kabupaten Aceh Jaya adalah pada lokasi I dan lokasi III yaitu Mengelompok dan Pada lokasi II yaitu acak .Kata Kunci : Morisita, Polymesoda, Setia Bakti

Abstract

Research on Identification of Diurnal Insect in Kampung Padang Plantation, Terangun Subdistrict, Gayo lues Regency was conducted in March to April 2019. This study aims (1) to find out the diurnal insect species found in Kampung Padang Plantation, Terangun Subdistrict, Gayo Lues Regency (2) to find out description of diurnal insect species found in the Kampung Padang Plantation, Terangun District, Gayo Lues Regency. (3) to determine the percentage of insect species present in the Kampung Padang Plantation, Terangun District, Gayo Lues Regency. This type of research is descriptive research. The research method used is exploring. The research location is divided into three observation stations. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results of the study (1) found 12 species of diurnal insects in the Padang village plantation Terangun sub-district Gayo Lues (2) insect species found originating from the order Lepidoptera (18 species), Coleoptera (35 species), Orthoptera (31 species), Hemiptera (25 species) species), Odoata (7 species), Diptera (18 species), and Hymenoptera (9 species) and (3) Insecta species with the highest level of attendance, originating from the Orthoptera and Coleoptera orders, while the least insect species originating from the Odonata order and Hymenoptera. The conclusion is that there are 12 species of diurnal insects consisting of 7 orders, and 12 families.

Abstract

Research about the Spinners Gardens Spiders (orb-weaver spider) nest location  Shaped circle in coffee plantations Umah Besi Village Kecamatan Gajah Putih  Kabupaten Bener Meriah, has been carried out in November 2015. This study aimed to determine the location of the nest of orb-weaver spider species in coffee plantations Kampung Umah Besi Kecamatan  Gajah Putih Kabupaten Bener Meriah. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach and data used in accordance with the existing data in the field. The study was conducted by using purposive sampling method, set the fifth station is the station first coffee plantations adjacent to the river, the second station II coffee plantations adjacent to the road, the station to III coffee plantations adjacent to crops, station IV coffee plantations adjacent to chocolate garden, and coffee plantations V station to the adjacent houses. At the fifth station assigned each observation area, the area is one hectare. Observations were made at four observation points each station is an observation point neighborhood coffee trees, banana trees neighborhood observation point, observation point petai tree area and observation point region jackfruit tree. The results of the study of spiders nesting sites of average height nest formation of ground level ranges as between 50-230 cm. It is located at the tip of the stem, in the middle of the rod, and among the branches of the tree. The conclusions of this study spiderweb most predominantly found at a height of 50 cm to 170 cm from ground level, and the lowest at a height of 171 cm to 230 cm. Abstract

Mangrove crabs are soft shell crab molting phase Bakau (molting). Molting process in nature occurs varies with different methods that need to be done penelitian.Tujuan this research is to know the effect of cutting the foot of the street (popey) and the binding of the eyeball (ablation) to long time Bakau molting crab (Scylla serrata) male in Gampong Cot Lamkuweh Meuraxa district of Banda Aceh. The work was undertaken in April-November 2016. The method used in the cultivation process is the soft shell crab Mangrove foot path method (popey), the binding of the eyeball (ablation) and natural implemented in Gampong Cot Lamkuweh Meuraxa district of Banda Aceh. Processing data using Variant Analysis (ANOVA). The degree of survival for all treatments ranged between 60% -75%. The growth rate of the highest daily weight contained in the binding of the eyeball treatment (ablation) that is equal to 48.91%. While the number of crab molting within 40 days of the highest in the treatment of leg amputation (popey) of mangrove crab molting on day 21 until day 3. Crab molting against time ranged WiBB 20:00 - 22:00 WiBB and only a few crabs molting in the morning and afternoon. The conclusion states that the soft shell mud crab no significant effect on the degree of survival and the growth rate of daily weight (P 0.05) but significant effect on the day and time of molting mud crab. Key Words: Effect of Molting, Popey, Ablation, Mud Crab

Abstract

Gastropoda merupakan salah satu Kelas dari Filum Mollusca, dan merupakan salah satu jenis komunitas fauna bentik yang hidup di dasar perairan. Komunitas fauna bentik ini banyak ditemukan di ekosistem mangrove Sungai Reuleung Leupung, namun hingga saat ini data tentang bioekologinya masih sangat kurang sehingga perlu dilakukan penelitian. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pola persebaran Gastropoda di ekosistem mangrove Sungai Reuleung Leupung Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survey dan penentuan stasiun pengamatan menggunakan teknik purposive random sampling. Analisis pola persebaran dilakukan dengan menggunakan indeks morisita. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola persebaran Gastropoda di ekosistem mangrove Sungai Reuleung Leupung Kabupaten Aceh Besar berkisar antara 0,83 sampai 3,00. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah pola persebaran Gastropoda di ekosistem mangrove Sungai Reuleung Leupung Kabupaten Aceh Besar secara acak, berkelompok, dan beraturan.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to find out the effect of the development of learning tools through a web-based SQ3R strategy to the improvement of students’ learning motivation in the concept of defense system of the body at class XI of MAS Jeumala Amal of Pidie Jaya (a private Senior High School). The data were collected from April 4th to May 11th, 2016 in the even semester of the school year 2015-2016. A quasi-experimental method is implemented with qualitative and quantitative approach. This study was conducted in four classes. Two classes were chosen for experimental class which consisted of 30 male students of IPA 3 and 30 female students of IPA 6. Meanwhile, two other classes were chosen as control class, they were 30 male students of IPA 1 and 30 female students of IPA 4. The instrument used was learners’ motivation questionnaire. The data were analyzed by using Kruskal-Wallis test with SPSS 17.0 for Windows at significant level of 0.05. The Chi-test results showed that the P-value < critical limit in which learning motivation was 0.000
