Abstract

This study evaluates the performance of a Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) system implementing Successive Interference Cancellation (SIC) over Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) channels, focusing on the effects of modulation schemes and power allocation on Bit Error Rate (BER). Three modulation schemes BPSK, QPSK, and 16QAM are studied in combination with different power allocation configurations (e.g., α = 0.1, 0.3) for two users in an OFDM-based NOMA downlink scenario. The signal superposition process is performed at the transmitter side, while SIC is applied at the receiver side to separate the user signals. The simulation results show that the BER performance is greatly affected by the modulation level and power allocation ratio. Lower-order modulations (such as BPSK and QPSK) provide better performance at low SNR, especially for users with poorer channel quality. On the other hand, improper power distribution can cause error propagation in the SIC process, degrading the demodulation accuracy. This study emphasizes the importance of selecting adaptive modulation schemes and power allocation strategies in NOMA system design. These findings provide important contributions to the development of future wireless communication systems, especially 5G and later generations, which demand high spectral efficiency and multi-user service reliability.

Abstract

Current technological advancements have led to teenagers spending more time sitting and playing with smartphones compared to engaging in physical activities. Physical exercise is a planned and organized activity aimed at improving physical condition. One of the benefits of physical exercise is its ability to reduce stress levels. Teenagers often engage in physical exercise as a strategy to manage stress. This study aims to explore the relationship between exercise habits and stress levels among students at SMAN 1 Giri Taruna Bangsa, Banyuwangi, in 2024. This research utilized a correlational study with a cross-sectional approach. A total of 66 grade XI students were selected through cluster random sampling. The instruments used were the Exercise Habit Questionnaire and the Academic Stress Scale (ASS) questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed using the Spearman Rank correlation in IBM SPSS Statistics v.25. Most respondents reported irregular exercise habits, with 40 respondents (61%) falling into this category. The majority of respondents experienced moderate stress, with 30 respondents (45%) reporting this level. The Sig. 2-tailed value of 0.000 (p < 0.05) indicates a significant relationship between exercise habits and stress levels. Regular exercise provides optimal benefits for the respondents, such as reducing stress. Regular physical activity can be incorporated into daily schedules to achieve these benefits.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of digital literacy and social media promotion on the marketing performance of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Cirebon, with digital readiness as a moderating variable. The research adopts a quantitative approach using a survey method involving 325 SME owners registered at Rumah UMKM Cirebon. Data were collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with the Partial Least Squares approach. The findings reveal that digital literacy and social media promotion have a positive effect on the marketing performance of SMEs, which is reflected in increased sales growth and wider market reach. The research model is able to explain more than half of the variation in SME marketing performance. However, digital readiness has not demonstrated a significant moderating role in strengthening the relationship between digital literacy, social media promotion, and marketing performance. This study has several limitations, particularly its focus on a specific region and type of business. Therefore, future research is recommended to expand the scope of the study to different regions and include additional strategic variables that may influence SME marketing performance.
