Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the values contained in the Aimere culture's bere tere oka pale marriage traditions and their implications for family guidance and counseling education. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The research subjects were traditional leaders, community leaders, married couples, and couples who were about to get married who had an understanding of the bere tere oka pale marriage tradition in the Pali village. The techniques used for data collection are interviews, observation and documentation studies. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data display and data verification. The results of the research show that the bere tere oka pale marriage tradition contains six life values, namely religion, responsibility, unity, loyalty, morals and kinship. Based on the results of this research, the researcher provided suggestions to several parties, namely a) traditional leaders to inherit the bere tere oka pale marriage tradition to the next generation. b) the Pali village community to understand, live and inherit the life values of the bere tere oka pale marriage tradition. c) counselor, researchers suggest that in the process of family guidance and counseling carried out, the values of the bere tere oka pale marriage tradition can help families prevent and resolve problemsABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam tradisi perkawinan bere tere oka pale budaya Aimere dan implikasinya bagi pendidikan bimbingan dan konseling keluarga. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah para tokoh adat, tokoh masyarakat, pasangan yang sudah menikah, dan pasangan yang akan menikah yang mempunyai pemahaman akan tradisi perkawinan bere tere oka pale di kampung Pali. Teknik yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan reduksi data, display data dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tradisi perkawinan bere tere oka pale mengandung enam nilai kehidupan yakni religius, tanggung jawab, persatuan, kesetiaan, moral, dan kekeluargaan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, peneliti memberikan saran kepada beberapa pihak, yakni a) tokoh-tokoh adat untuk mewarisi tradisi perkawinan bere tere oka pale kepada generasi penerus. b) masyarakat kampung Pali untuk memahami, menghidupi dan mewarisi nilai- nilai kehidupan tradisi perkawinan bere tere oka pale. c) konselor, peneliti menyarankan agar dalam proses bimbingan dan konseling keluarga yang dilaksanakan, nilai-nilai tradisi perkawinan bere tere oka pale dapat membantu keluarga mencegah dan menyelesaikan masalah.

Abstract

This community service program was conducted at SMP Negeri 10 Kupang which was attended by 26 students, the purpose of this service was to provide an important picture of self-regulated learning for students. Some of the main problems that are obstacles for students at SMP Negeri 10 Kupang are not being able to manage their study time well, preferring to play, not understanding the importance of independent learning. The implementation process goes through several stages, namely, delivering material, showing short film clips related to self-efficiency, training negative thoughts to positive ones in learning with worksheets, playing illustration games. The results of the Community Service activities show that after being given self-regulated learning training, it can help students in learning and understanding the importance of self-regulated learning.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of online game usage on students' learning motivation. The research sample consisted of 108 students from grades VII D-G at UPTD SMP Negeri 11 Kota Kupang. The method used in this study is quantitative. The variables studied include the independent variable (X), which is the use of online games, and the dependent variable (Y), which is students' learning motivation. Data were collected using a questionnaire as a data collection instrument. Data analysis was performed using simple linear regression techniques with SPSS for Windows version 26. The regression analysis results showed that the t-calculated value (5.101) was greater than the t-table value (1.891), with a significance value of 0.000, which was less than 0.05. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the use of online games and students' learning motivation.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh penggunaan game online terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 108 siswa yang berasal dari kelas VII D-G di UPTD SMP Negeri 11 Kota Kupang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif. Variabel yang diteliti meliputi variabel bebas (X), yaitu penggunaan game online, dan variabel terikat (Y), yaitu motivasi belajar siswa. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan angket sebagai instrumen pengumpulan data. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik regresi linier sederhana menggunakan aplikasi SPSS for Windows versi 26. Hasil analisis regresi menunjukkan bahwa nilai t-hitung (5,101) lebih besar dibandingkan dengan t-tabel (1,891), dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 yang lebih kecil dari 0,05. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara penggunaan game online dengan motivasi belajar siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of self-concept on career planning among eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 16 Kota Kupang in the 2024/2025 academic year. A quantitative descriptive approach was used in this study. The independent variable (X) is self-concept, while career planning serves as the dependent variable (Y). The population and sample consisted of 89 students from classes VIII A, B, and C at SMP Negeri 16 Kota Kupang in the 2024/2025 academic year. Data collection methods included interviews, observations, and questionnaires. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression and processed with SPSS version 26 for Windows. The regression analysis results showed a t-value of 4.511, which exceeded the critical t-value of 1.291, and a significance level of 0.000, below the threshold of 0.05 (0.000 0.05). Therefore, it can be concluded that self-concept has a significant influence on career planning among eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 16 Kota Kupang in the 2024/2025 academic year.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh konsep diri terhadap perencanaan karier di kalangan siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 16 Kota Kupang pada tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Variabel independen (X) adalah konsep diri, sedangkan perencanaan karier berfungsi sebagai variabel dependen (Y). Populasi dan sampel terdiri dari 89 siswa dari kelas VIII A, B, dan C di SMP Negeri 16 Kota Kupang pada tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Metode pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara, observasi, dan kuesioner. Data dianalisis menggunakan regresi linier sederhana dan diproses dengan SPSS versi 26 untuk Windows. Hasil analisis regresi menunjukkan nilai t sebesar 4.511, yang melebihi nilai t kritis sebesar 1.291, dan tingkat signifikansi sebesar 0.000, di bawah ambang batas 0.05 (0.000 0.05). Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa konsep diri memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap perencanaan karier siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 16 Kota Kupang pada tahun ajaran 2024/2025.

Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of group guidance services in improving self-disclosure of grade XI students of SMAK Sint Carolus Penfui Kupang. The research design used a one-group pre-test and post-test with 10 respondents. The instrument was a valid and reliable questionnaire (0.932). The results of the paired t-test showed a Sig. (2-tailed) value = 0.000 0.05, indicating a significant increase in student self-disclosure. Thus, group guidance services are proven to be effective as a psychopedagogical intervention.ABSTRACPenelitian ini bertujuan menguji efektivitas layanan bimbingan kelompok dalam meningkatkan self-disclosure siswa kelas XI SMAK Sint Carolus Penfui Kupang. Desain penelitian menggunakan one-group pre-test and post-test dengan 10 responden. Instrumen berupa angket valid dan reliabel (0,932). Hasil uji t berpasangan menunjukkan nilai Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,000 0,05, menandakan peningkatan signifikan pada self-disclosure siswa. Dengan demikian, layanan bimbingan kelompok terbukti efektif sebagai intervensi psikopedagogik.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between self-confidence and self-adjustment among seventh-grade students in class VII-G at UPTD SMP Negeri 11 Kota Kupang in the 2024/2025 academic year. This study uses a quantitative approach. The independent variable (X) is self-confidence, while the dependent variable (Y) is self-adjustment. The population and sample consist of 32 seventh-grade students in the 2024/2025 academic year. Data were collected using questionnaires, and analysis was performed using Pearson's product-moment correlation. The analysis produced a correlation coefficient in the range of 0.60–0.799 and a significance value of 0.000 0.05. These findings indicate a significant relationship between self-confidence and self-adjustment among seventh-grade students at UPTD SMP Negeri 11 Kota Kupang in the 2024/2025 academic year.ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji hubungan antara kepercayaan diri dan penyesuaian diri di kalangan siswa kelas VII-G di UPTD SMP Negeri 11 Kota Kupang pada tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Variabel independen (X) adalah kepercayaan diri, sedangkan variabel dependen (Y) adalah penyesuaian diri. Populasi dan sampel terdiri dari 32 siswa kelas VII-G pada tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner, dan analisis dilakukan melalui korelasi momen produk Pearson. Analisis menghasilkan koefisien korelasi dalam rentang 0,60–0,799 dan nilai signifikansi 0,000 0,05. Temuan ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara kepercayaan diri dan penyesuaian diri di kalangan siswa kelas VII di UPTD SMP Negeri 11 Kota Kupang pada tahun ajaran 2024/2025.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the learning style profiles of seventh-grade students at St. Theresia Catholic Junior High School in Kupang for the 2024/2025 academic year and to analyze the implications for learning information services. This study used a quantitative approach, with learning style as the variable. The research population consisted of 165 seventh-grade students, while the sample consisted of 42 students selected through proportional random sampling. Data were collected through interviews and the Non-Cognitive Diagnostic Assessment (Student Learning Styles) questionnaire and analyzed using the SI-BK Edition SMP 2.1 application. The results showed that most students preferred visual learning styles (57%), followed by kinesthetic (26%) and auditory (17%). These results highlight the important role of guidance and counseling teachers in planning and organizing learning information services at school. Thus, these services can be provided more effectively and in accordance with students' learning needs, thereby increasing their understanding and involvement in the learning process.ABSTRACTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi profil gaya belajar siswa kelas VII di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Katolik St. Theresia di Kupang untuk tahun ajaran 2024/2025 dan untuk menganalisis implikasinya terhadap layanan informasi pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan gaya belajar sebagai variabel. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari 165 siswa kelas VII, sedangkan sampel terdiri dari 42 siswa yang dipilih melalui sampling acak proporsional. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan kuesioner Penilaian Diagnostik Non-Kognitif (Gaya Belajar Siswa), dan dianalisis menggunakan aplikasi SI-BK Edisi SMP 2.1. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa lebih menyukai gaya belajar visual (57%), diikuti oleh kinestetik (26%) dan auditif (17%). Hasil ini menyoroti pentingnya peran guru bimbingan dan konseling dalam merencanakan dan menyelenggarakan layanan informasi pembelajaran di sekolah. Dengan demikian, layanan tersebut dapat disediakan secara lebih efektif dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan belajar siswa, sehingga meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterlibatan mereka dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

The Gawi Dance, a cultural heritage of the Ende Lio community in Wolojita Village, embodies profound values that can contribute to the development of students’ character. This study aims to explore the cultural values embedded in the Gawi Dance and their implications for guidance and counseling services. Using a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through semi-structured interviews and observations involving two traditional leaders and three community members. Data analysis employed reduction, display, and verification techniques. The findings reveal that the Gawi Dance reflects religious, moral, aesthetic, responsibility, and gender equality values. These values are relevant for integration into guidance and counseling services as resources to strengthen cultural identity, character formation, social skills, and collective harmony among students.ABSTRAKTarian Gawi merupakan warisan budaya masyarakat Ende Lio, Desa Wolojita yang sarat akan nilai-nilai luhur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap nilai-nilai budaya yang terkandung dalam tarian Gawi serta implikasinya terhadap layanan bimbingan dan konseling. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah dua tokoh adat dan tiga masyarakat Desa Wolojita. Teknik yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan data berupa wawancara semi terstruktur, dan observasi. Analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, display data, dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tarian Gawi mengandung nilai-nilai seperti nilai religius, moral, estetika, tanggung jawab, kesetaraan gender. Nilai-nilai tersebut dapat dijadikan sebagai sumber daya dalam pengembangan program bimbingan dan konseling. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah perlunya integrasi nilai-nilai budaya lokal dalam layanan bimbingan dan konseling untuk memperkuat identitas budaya dan karakter peserta didik. Berdasarkan analisis data penelitian diatas dapat disimpulkan bahwa nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam tarian Gawi yaitu nilai religius, moral, estetika, tanggung jawab dan kesetaraan gender. Nilai-nilai budaya dalam tarian Gawi perlu dilestarikan dan diintegrasikan dalam layanan bimbingan dan konseling sebagai upaya memperkuat karakter, kebersamaan, dan keterampilan sosial peserta didik.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine whether the use of inquiry learning method can increase students' learning activities in social studies learning in elementary schools. This research approach was qualitative, using classroom action research method. The research procedure refers to the Lewis method in the form of a cycle. Each cycle consists of four main activities, namely planning, implementing, evaluating, and improving plans. The results of the study showed that the application of the inquiry learning method in social studies learning can increase students' learning activities. So, it can be concluded that the inquiry learning method is a learning method that can develop student learning activities, which has an impact on increasing student learning outcomes. Therefore, the application of the inquiry learning method is highly recommended for use in social studies learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This research aims to understand the essence of local wisdom values in the oral tradition of Takanab traditional speech with a focus on efforts to shape children's character through guidance and counseling services. The method applied in this research is a qualitative descriptive method, with the research subjects being traditional elders who have a deep understanding of the Takanab traditional spoken language. The data collection approach includes semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation studies. Data analysis is carried out by data reduction, data display, and data verification. The research results show that the oral tradition of Takanab traditional speech includes moral, religious and cultural values that are significant in forming children's character. The research results concluded that in Takanab traditional speech there are values such as honesty, integrity, compassion, justice, responsibility, devotion, forgiveness, tolerance, courtesy, humility, respect, appreciation, hearing, recognition, empathy, sympathy, and discipline. These values can be the basis for forming children's character through information services, group guidance, group counseling and individual counseling in the implementation of guidance and counseling services. An oral tradition-based guidance and counseling approach emphasizes the importance of knowledge transmitted through stories, myths and oral experiences from generation to generation. Traditional narratives are used to provide views on life, values, and solutions to problems faced by individuals. This approach views oral traditions as a source of wisdom that can provide deep insight and help individuals understand the meaning of life in a cultural context and the values rooted in oral traditions are the basis for character formation.
