Abstract

Saat ini kecenderungan selera konsumsi masyarakat cenderung kepada produk impor berbasis terigu. Disisi lain pangan lokal seringkali dianggap sebagai makanan yang inferior dan terigu dianggap sebagai makanan superior. Peningkatan kebebasan masyarakat untuk memilih bahan pangan yang dikonsumsinya memungkinkan untuk dilakukan subtitusi pangan berbasis tepung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui atribut-atribut yang mempengaruhi pemilihan produk brownies Cokro Tela berbahan baku mocaf dan mengetahui sikap konsumen terhadap brownies Cokro Tela berbahan baku mocaf. Responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 80 orang yang diambil secara Purposive sampling dimana responden diambil berdasarkan kriteria tertentu yaitu responden yang sudah pernah membeli dan mencoba brownies Cokro Tela. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode survei. Model analisis yang digunakan yaitu Model Fishbein. Model tersebut digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi sikap konsumen terhadap atribut brownies Cokro Tela berbahan baku mocaf yang meliputi atribut campuran mocaf dan terigu, harga, varian brownies, rasa dan tekstur. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa atribut yang paling mempengaruhi dalam pemilihan produk brownies Cokro Tela berbahan mocaf adalah atribut rasa (18,17) dan tekstur (17,03). Sikap konsumen terhadap keseluruhan atribut brownies Cokro Tela dianggap baik.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the income, income risk and the factors that affecting the income risk of citrus farming in Sambas district. The data used in this study is the cross sectional from 106 farmers in Sambas district. Analysis of the data using the formula of farm income, coefficient of variation and residual squared of income function model. The result showed that the value of average income of citrus farming per hectare per year is Rp 18,492,410 million. Variability of the average value at income risk of citrus farmers is 0.809 or 80.9%. The variable that decreases the income risk is managerial capabilities while the variables which increases the income risk of citrus farming are size farm and the price of NPK fertilizer.   Keywords: Risk, Income, Citrus Farming

Abstract

Coconut sugar industry as a part of agroindustry has given significances in regional agriculture development, however  it has not yet met the businessman needs because of the lack significant industrial development and marketing efficiency. Therefore, this study aims at identifying both the external and internal factors influencing the marketing development and formulating the alternative marketing strategies for coconut sugar products especially in Jeruklegi and Kawunganten Dirstrict of Cilacap Regency. This area is chosen based on certain considerations and this study involves 47 respondents. The methods used in this study are instrument test analysis, descriptive analysis to identify the internal and external factors, and SWOT analysis to formulate the alternative strategies for coconut sugar industry development. The result showes that generally there is still lack of quality of human resources, based on validity and reliability tests there are eight internal and ten externals factors influencing the coconut sugar marketing in Cilacap Regency. The industrial position is in cell IV which means in a stable phase, meanwhile, the main alternative strategy that can be applied in coconut sugar marketing development in Cilacap Regency is quadrant 1 namely the SO (Strengths Opportunities) strategy, it includes optimizing the production capacity, expanding the sale area, and increasing the promotional activities. Other supporting alternative strategies that consist of ST strategies (Strength Threats), WO (Weaknesses Opportunities), and WT (Threats Weaknesses) are increasing the use of production equipment technology, increasing marketing efficiency, increasing the market price knowledge, maintaining product quality, choosing managers to form beneficiary group, cooperating among villages, improving the production cleanliness, looking for funds from cooperatives in other areas for business capital, and establishing the information service center.

Abstract

Robusta coffee in the Regency of Tanggamus has enormous development prospects in the field of farming and agroindustry as it has the potential to generate regional income. In order to realise this potential a single encompassing strategy is needed to achieve a final outcome that is more efficient and effective. The aim of this research is to (1) Knowing the strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats of robusta coffee farming and agroindustry(2) formulate strategy for robusta coffeefarming and agroindustry development in Tanggamus Regency. This research was conducted on coffee farmers and ground coffee processing in Tanggamus Regency. The sampling technique of coffee farmers use a simple random sampling method of 68 coffee farmers. The data is obtained from primary data and secondary data. Techniques of data gathering are structured interviews using questionnaires and direct observation. Farm analysis are used SWOT is used to determine the strategy. The strategy for developing robusta coffee in Tanggamus Regency is to minimizing weaknesses to achive  potential opportunities by: land extension, planting qualified seed and replanting unproductive coffee trees, diffusion of red bean harvesting technology, increasing ground coffee production capacity and procurement of machinery,complete legal registration number on the packaging and promotion of ground coffee.

Abstract

Compared to other goods, online trading on fresh agricultural products such as vegetables and fruit is still relatively new for the Indonesian people. What drives this growing interest in  purchasing  agricultural products online? This study aims to examine the factors influence consumers' intentions in purchasing vegetables and fruit online and further  analyzes the influence of purchase intentions on consumers’ decision to make the purchases online. The study was based on analysis of 146 users of online vetabales stores in various more than 10 online platfom accessible in Indonesia from July to August 2018. Users are aged from 15 to more than 54 years. Using seven exogenous latent variables predicted to influence purchase intentions, this study found four variables which proved to influence purchasing intentions, namely perceived usefulness, perceived price, income, and electronic word of mouth. Three variables were perceived ease of use, trust, and perceived risk prevention does not affect the purchase intention. The purchase intention as the first endogenous latent variable proved to influence consumer purchasing decisions as the second endogenous latent variable.

Abstract

Cattle farmers in Gunungkidul Regency face several cattle diseases such as Helminthiasis, Anthrax, Downer Cow Syndrome, and Intoxication in which these diseases mostly attack female cows. To prevent financial loss for the farmers, the government facilitates them with cattle insurance. This study aims to determine the reasons and the cattle farmers’ willingness-to-pay for the cattle insurance by conducting a survey addressed to 100 cattle farmers and identifying the factors related to it. This study used a Contingent Valuation Method in estimating the cattle farmer's WTP. The various factors that influence the farmer's WTP were analyzed by using natural logarithm regression models. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the willingness-to-pay for cattle farmers who did not participate in cattle insurance are 22,600 IDR and farmers who participate in cattle insurance are 36,320 IDR. Education, household income, and farmers’ interest in the insurance were positively effecting toward the farmers' willingness-to-pay. However, age and the number of families showed the negative ones toward the farmers’ willingness-to-pay.

Abstract

Pembangunan daerah dilakukan dengan memaksimalkan potensi sumber daya yang ada di suatu daerah. Karena sebagian besar penduduk Indonesia adalah petani, maka penting untuk mengetahui kontribusi sektor pertanian terhadap perekonomian suatu daerah. Makalah ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi sektor pertanian terhadap multiplier output, pengganda pendapatan, dan pengganda tenaga kerja. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Analisis Input Output yang diperoleh dari Badan Pusat Statistik Provinsi Jawa Timur Tahun 2010. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komoditas tebu berada pada kuadran II, Dari keseluruhan data di atas maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) Komoditas tebu dapat mendorong berkembangnya industri gula di Jawa Timur, (2) di sektor peternakan, subsektor yang dapat dikembangkan adalah pakan ternak, pemotongan hewan, sapi, kambing dan domba, serta ayam (3) di sektor pengolahan subsektor pengolahan es krim, beras, dan penggilingan padi serta rokok. ABSTRACTLocal development is held by maximizing potential resources in a particular region. In addition, most of Indonesian people are farmers so it’s important to identify the agriculural contribution in local economic. The aim of this study are to study the contribution of agriculture  in ouput multiplier, income multiplier, and employment multiplier. The method which was used in this research was input-output analysis based on Badan Pusat Statistik East Java Province’s data in 2010. From the analysis, we can conclude that the sugarcane was formed in the second quadrant, in which (1)sugarcane comodity promoted the sugar industry in East Java Province (2) in livestock subsector, the woof of livestock industry, animals truncation, sheeps, goats, and chicken husbandry (poultry) were potentially to be developed (3) in processing subsector which was based on agriculture product, ice cream and processing, rice milling and cigarette were potentially to be developed.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh atribut kemasan makanan dan karakteristik konsumen terhadap persepsi, pencarian informasi, pemilihan alternatif, dan perilaku setelah pembelian. Pengambilan data menggunakan teknik convenience sampling kepada 400 responden dan wawancara kepada asosiasi ritel dan industri makanan. Analisis data dengan menggunakan Interpretasi Skor Interval dan Seemingly Unrelated Regression. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa atribut kualitas dan fitur kemasan berpengaruh lebih besar terhadap semua tahapan keputusan pembelian. Secara simultan karakteristik responden berpengaruh signifikan terhadap persepsi, pemilihan alternatif, dan perilaku setelah pembelian. Intensitas belanja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap persepsi dan perilaku setelah pembelian; sedangkan umur, jenis kelamin, dan pendapatan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pemilihan alternatif dan perilaku setelah pembelian. Implikasinya, IKM makanan perlu memberikan perhatian lebih besar terhadap atribut kemasan yang berpengaruh lebih besar.THE EFFECT OF FOOD PACKAGING AND CONSUMER CHARACTERISTICS ON PURCHASE BEHAVIORABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the effect of snack package attributes and consumer characteristics on the perception, information search, alternative selection, and after purchase behaviour. The survey wasdone by the convenience sampling technique to 400 respondents and interviewingretail and food industries association. Data analysiswas Interval Score interpretation and Seemingly Unrelated Regression. The results show that the quality attributes and package features have greater effect on all purchasing decision stages. The respondent characteristics, simultaneously, significantly affect the perception, information search, alternative selection, and after purchase behaviour. The shopping intensity significantly affect the perception and after purchase behaviour; while, age, gender, and income significantly affect the alternative selection and after purchase behaviour. The implication is that food SMEs are required to give greater attention to the attributes greater affected.

Abstract

Selama ini sebagian besar analisis dalam bidang pertanian, khususnya agribisnisdan sosial ekonomi pertanian menggunakan pendekatan ekonometrika dengan mendasarkanpada asumsi “linieritas”. Pendekatan ini memberikan keunggulan dalam analisis ekonomi,seperti elastistas, return to scales, ataupun analisis fungsi permintaan dan penawaran dapatdiketahui dengan mudah. Meskipun demikian, saat ini disadari bahwa permasalahan dalambidang pertanian tidak sesederhana yang diasumsikan. Fungsi yang dianalisis mungkinmerupakan fungsi polynomial. Beberapa variabel mungkin tidak dapat didefinisikan denganjelas, khususnya variabel sosial. Oleh karena itu, penggunaan soft computing seperti model sarafbuatan (artificial neural network), genetic algorithm, fuzzy logic mulai banyak dipergunakanuntuk memecahkan berbagai persoalan yang bersifat non-linier, hazy dan subyektif. Berkaitandengan hal tersebut, tulisan ini memberikan ilustrasi penggunaan model saraf buatan dalambidang pertanian dengan mengambil kasus pada tanaman tebu. Perhitungan dilakukan denganmenggunakan multilayers networks sebanyak empat lapis dan proses belajar menggunakanalgoritma back propagation. Proses pembelajaran dilakukan sampai terjadi overtraining untukmemetakan pola hubungan faktor penentu penerimaan dan pendapatan petani tebu. Hasil yangdiperoleh menunjukkan bahwa biaya-biaya seperti sewa lahan, bibit, pestisida dan tenaga kerjamemiliki kontribusi yang besar dalam mempengaruhi penerimaan dan pendapatan petani. Biayasewa lahan yang tinggi dengan penggunaan biaya kerja yang rendah akan menekan pendapatanpetani sehingga usaha tani tebu harus diusahakan secara intensif. Selain itu, biaya modal sendiricenderu ng lebih menekan pendapatan dibandingkan dengan modal pinjaman.
