Abstract

Objective:  Interpersonal communication is very important for nurse students.  to do by doing self-awareness beforehand so they can understand other people and not cause misunderstandings and hinder further interpersonal relationships. Before communicating, students should carry out self-awareness first so they can understand other people, not misunderstand and hinder further interpersonal relationships. The ability to self awareness determines the success of interpersonal communication because someone who is sensitive to himself and his emotions will have high sensitivity when communicating. This study aims to determine the relationship between students' ability to do self-awareness with interpersonal communication. Methods: This research is a descriptive correlation research with a cross sectional research design. Samples were taken by simple random sampling of 46 respondents in semester 4 students of Bachelor of Nursing Study Program. The analysis test used the chi square test and a significance level of 5%. Results: Respondents who were not good at self awareness were 20 respondents (43.5%). Respondents who were not good at interpersonal communication were the same as the number of respondents who were good at interpersonal communication, namely 23 respondents (50%) each. The results of the chi-square test obtained a p value of 0.015, which means that Ho was rejected. Conclusion:  There is a relationship between self awareness and interpersonal communication in undergraduate nursing students. It is hoped that the institution will develop a curriculum on communication because communication is very important for the success of nursing care in hospitals

Abstract

Anemia among pregnant women is a significant factor contributing to maternal and infant mortality, preterm birth, and stunting if not promptly addressed (Indonesian Health Profile, 2023). One preventive measure is meeting nutritional needs through the consumption of dates, which are rich in iron—approximately 13.7 mg per 100 grams (Satuhu, 2010). The role of midwives in managing anemia, as stated in Midwifery Care Standard No. 6, includes prevention, detection, treatment, and referral of anemia cases in pregnant women. An educational outreach on the benefits of dates was conducted at the Permata Bunda Clinic to increase pregnant women’s knowledge about improving hemoglobin (Hb) levels through date consumption. Among the 39 participants, the average pre-test score was 63.62, which increased to 77.08 in the post-test, showing an average gain of 20.28 points. The standard deviation also decreased from 23.77 to 12.41, indicating that participants’ knowledge became more consistent after the session. These findings demonstrate that the educational intervention on date consumption effectively enhanced the understanding of expectant mothers regarding the need to sustain adequate hemoglobin levels throughout the gestational period, contributing to the prevention of anemia, stunting, and obstetric complications.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the integration of mathematics and science literacy in the context of digital technology-based education as an effort to answer the challenges of the 21st century. The method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by examining 45 relevant national and international articles published between 2016–2025. The results of the study show that the use of digital technology such as virtual labs, augmented reality, learning management systems, and interactive media is able to improve students' conceptual understanding, numeracy literacy, and science literacy. The integration of STEAM and Project Based Learning approaches has proven to be effective in developing students' critical, creative, collaborative, and communication skills. In addition, teachers' digital literacy has an important role in the successful implementation of technology-based learning. However, the main challenges still arise in the aspect of infrastructure readiness, the gap in technology access between regions, and the uneven digital competence of educators. This research recommends strengthening teachers' digital competencies, developing an integrative mathematics-science-ICT curriculum, and collaboration between policy stakeholders to create an adaptive and globally competitive learning ecosystem.

Abstract

The health monitoring coverage for children under five in Katingan Regency remains low at 45.6%, falling significantly below the national strategic target. This situation necessitates an epidemiological evaluation to identify the underlying determinants of this phenomenon. This study aimed to quantitatively analyze the factors associated with the utilization of Integrated Posyandu by mothers of under-five children within the catchment area of Tumbang Samba Public Health Center. An analytic observational study with a cross-sectional design was conducted among 108 mothers of children under five, selected through purposive and incidental sampling. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and Maternal and Child Health (MCH) handbooks, and bivariate analysis was performed using the nonparametric Chi-Square test (α = 0.05). Statistical results demonstrated that consistent utilization was significantly associated with maternal reproductive age (p = 0.037), a high level of knowledge (p < 0.001), and strong internal motivation (p < 0.001). Mothers aged 20–35 years, those with good knowledge (83.33% consistent attendance), and those with high motivation (80.00% consistent attendance) accounted for the majority of Posyandu utilization. Conversely, no significant association was found regarding formal educational level; although the population was dominated by those with basic education (89.81%), this factor did not significantly influence the probability of utilization (p = 0.398). In conclusion, the utilization of primary healthcare services in rural areas is primarily driven by cognitive understanding and psychological motivation rather than formal educational attainment. Therefore, policy interventions should transition toward behavioral engineering approaches, in which community health workers (CHWs) are actively empowered as health educators to enhance specific literacy and sustain motivation among the target population.

Abstract

This study analyzes the atmospheric drivers of extreme rainfall during the 27 April 2023 flood event in Cilacap, Indonesia, using satellite, reanalysis, and in situ data. Convective evolution was examined using rainfall records, Himawari-9 cloud-top temperatures, instability indices (CAPE, CIN, KI, TTI), and surface wind fields. Rainfall exceeded 135 mm from the afternoon to nighttime. Satellite observations showed rapid convective growth, with cloud-top temperatures dropping below −75 °C, indicating mature Cumulonimbus clouds. The 24-Hour Night Microphysics RGB imagery revealed convective initiation around 08:00 UTC and intensification during the evening. Atmospheric instability increased prior to the event, with CAPE exceeding 1600 J kg⁻¹ between 09:00 and 12:00 UTC, while CIN decreased below 80 J kg⁻¹. Surface wind analysis identified a strong low-level convergence zone formed by moist onshore flow from the Indian Ocean interacting with inland winds. This convergence provided dynamical lifting that released the stored instability, triggering deep convection that peaked around 15:00 UTC. The results show that the extreme rainfall was driven by the coupling of high thermodynamic instability and local moisture convergence, demonstrating the value of combining NWP products and satellite RGB imagery for diagnosing coastal extreme rainfall.
