Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between arm muscle power, eye-hand coordination, and achievement motivation with the smash skills of U15 badminton athletes. The method used is quantitative with a correlational design. The sample consisted of 40 athletes from PB Jaya Raya Ragunan, which were taken using total sampling. Data were collected using a Chronojump Linear Encoder for explosive strength, a modified alternate hand wall toss test for coordination, an achievement motivation questionnaire, and a PBSI smash skill test. The results showed a positive and significant individual relationship between arm muscle explosive power (r=0.741), hand-eye coordination (r=0.735), and achievement motivation (r=0.455) with smash skills. Multiple regression analysis revealed a much stronger simultaneous relationship, with a multiple correlation coefficient (R) of 0.883. The three variables together explained 77.9% of the variance in smash skills (R²=0.779), indicating a strong synergistic effect when the three components were developed in an integrated manner. In conclusion, effective coaching of U15 athletes requires a holistic approach that systematically integrates explosive power training, coordination, and achievement motivation reinforcement to optimize smash skills as a competitive foundation at higher levels.

Abstract

Developing sports human resources in elementary schools is essential for nurturing athletic talent and strengthening physical education from an early age. This systematic literature review explores strategies to improve the skills and effectiveness of educators, coaches, and support staff in elementary school sports programs. The review focuses on studies published between 2014 and 2024, sourced from reputable databases such as Scopus and Google Scholar. Inclusion criteria prioritized peer-reviewed articles addressing human resource development in elementary school sports settings, specifically within regional and national contexts. A thematic analysis was conducted to synthesize findings across selected studies. Four key strategies emerged: (1) continuous professional development for teachers and coaches, (2) incorporation of innovative and age-appropriate sports curricula, (3) active community and parental engagement, and (4) integration of digital tools to support skill-building and performance tracking. The analysis also highlights persistent challenges, including limited funding, insufficient policy frameworks, and the lack of customized training models tailored to the developmental needs of young learners. Findings emphasize the necessity of collaborative efforts between schools, local governments, and sports organizations to address these challenges and optimize human resource utilization. This review offers practical recommendations for policymakers, educators, and community stakeholders aiming to strengthen sports education infrastructure and promote youth development at the foundational level.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to see the effect of the use of SE-TG (Sport Education Model-Traditional Games) used in physical education learning at SMK 45 Lembang on Self-Eficacy. The research methodology used is Experimental Designs with Random Assignment sampling. The population in this study were 10 grade XI students of SMK 45 Lembang, totaling 300 people. The sampling technique used was Simple Random Sampling technique, so that 60 students were randomly taken and divided into two groups, where 30 students studied with SE-TG and 30 students studied with the conventional model. The results showed that in the Experimental group, the t-value -4.271, P Value 0.000 and in the control group, the t-value -0.410, P Value 0.681. This means that there was an increase in Self-Eficacy in the experimental group and there was no increase in Self-Eficacy in the control group. The results of the difference test show that for the Self-Eficacy variable, the Z value is -3.190 with P Value 0.001. This means that SE-TG learning has a better influence on Self-Eficacy than the Conventional Model of students at SMK 45 Lembang. For further research, it is very interesting if the concept of the Sport Education Model in collaboration with Traditional Games (SE-TG) can be applied to other physical education materials such as athletics, small ball games, gymnastics and games in the concept of movement (locomotor, non-locomotor and manipulative) so that the research results from this concept become more complete.

Abstract

The low level of basic manipulative throwing and catching skills among elementary school students, especially those in grade 3, is a major problem in physical education learning. This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of a systematic and enjoyable game-based learning model for basic manipulative skills. The research method used was Research and Development (R&D) by adopting the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model. The research subjects consisted of 30 third-grade students at Tadika Puri Elementary School, East Jakarta. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with teachers, and skill tests using standardized instruments. Data analysis was performed using a paired sample t-test statistical test. The research results produced a final product in the form of 30 variations of learning models (15 for throwing and 15 for catching) that have been validated by experts. The effectiveness test showed a very significant increase in throwing skills (from an average of 27.77 to 31.07) and catching skills (from 27.50 to 30.73) with a significance value of p < 0.001. In conclusion, the game-based manipulative basic movement learning model developed has been proven to be statistically and practically effective in improving students' motor skills, so it can be used as an alternative innovative PJOK learning model in elementary schools.

Abstract

Passing is a crucial aspect in futsal because it is the main key in building attacks and maintaining ball possession. This study aims to develop a game-based futsal passing training model for children aged 10-12 years. This study uses the Research and Development (RnD) method which refers to the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model involving 4 people as validators and 30 children as samples. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations and tests. The results showed that 15 out of 23 were considered feasible and the model was able to improve futsal passing in children aged 10-12 years with a sig. value of 0.00 <0.05 which indicates a significant increase in the passing skills of children aged 10-12 years after being given the game-based passing training model treatment. The recommendations in this study are the importance of variation, active involvement, and contextualization in training.
