Abstract

AbstractThis research is a pre-experimental design of one group pretest posttest design to determine the effect of remediation using REACT learning strategies to remediating student’s misconceptions about the Heat. This was done by collecting quantitative data with two instruments, pretest to determine student misconception before remediation and posttest to determine student misconceptions after remediation. Data was collected by using the diagnostic test in the form of multiple-choice comprised of nine questions by representing three concepts related to Heat arrengged using Modified Certainty of Response Index (Modified CRI). The test was administered to 36 grade 7th students. It is found that the REACT learning strategies can affect student’s misconceptions about the Heat. The average percentage of the decreasing of number of student’s misconceptions each concept is 61% and the effect size of this study is 0,74. This research showed the REACT learning strategies can be used as an alternative remediation activities to reduce student’s misconceptions.Keyword : Remediation, Misconception, REACT Learning Strategies

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penyediaan bacaan berbentuk refutation text untuk meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi pesawat sederhana di kelas V SD Negeri 10 Selintah Kabupaten Sekadau. Dengan rancangan percobaan yaitu Pre-Experimental Design dengan bentuk One-Group Pre-Test Post-Test Design. Sebanyak 13 siswa kelas V yang berpartisipasi pada penelitian ini. Tes diagnostik bentuk pilihan ganda disertai alasan, digunakan untuk mengetahui rata-rata persentase miskonsepsi siswa. Dari hasil analisis data, rata-rata persentase miskonsepsi siswa pada pretest sebesar 85,38% dan rata-rata persentase miskonsepsi siswa pada posttest sebesar 69,23%. Hal ini berarti terjadi perubahan rata-rata persentase miskonsepsi siswa sebesar 17,75%. Setelah dilakukan perhitungan menggunakan uji McNemar pada setiap indikator, jumlah keseluruhan tidak terjadi perubahan konsepsi siswa yang signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah remediasi. Nilai efektifitas dengan bahan bacaan berbentuk refutation text untuk meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi pesawat sederhana di kelas V SD Negeri 10 Selintah Kabupaten Sekadau adalah 0,25 tergolong rendah. With the experimental design Pre-Experimental Design with form-Group One Pre-Test Post-Test Design. A total of 13 fifth grade students who participated in this study. Diagnostic test multiple choice with reasons, is used to determine the average percentage of student misconceptions. of the results of the data analysis, the average percentage of students on the pretest misconception by 85.38% and the average percentage of students on the posttest misconception of 69.23%. This means a change in the average percentage of 17.75% student misconceptions. After calculation using the McNemar test on each indicator, the number of overall did not change significantly between students' conceptions before and after remediation. Effectiveness with literature values ??shaped Refutation text to remediate student misconceptions in a simple aircraft materials in class V Elementary School District 10 Selintah Sekadau is relatively low 0,25. Abstract

                         AbstractThis study aimed to determine the effect of skill process of science laboratory based approach towards the student’s learning outcomes in Usaha (Work) material in SMP Negeri 11 Pontianak.this research was conducted through a pre-experimental design with one pretest and posttest group. The sample of this study was the students of class VIII F (N = 34) who were selected with intac group technique. In collecting the data, the researcher used measurement and observation technique. The instrument for collecting data were measurement test and observation checklist. The analysis shows that the average score of students is increased into 79,91 with the percentage of completeness is 85,3% after applying the skill process of science laboratory based approach. The data analysis was obtained by simple linear regression test that shows tcount 5,987 > ttable 2,037. Based on calculation, it shows that the effect size of this study was 2.9 which is classified as high criteria. This research is expected to be carried out to improve students learning outcomes. Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine influence of physics educational technology (PhET) simulation media toward student learning achievement about electrical circuits in class IX SMP Negeri 24 Pontianak. The purposive samplinf technique for this study class IX A and IX C SMP Negeri 24 Pontianak. The Quasy Experimental method with nonequivalent controlgroup design was conducted on this study. Instrumen for measuring achievement about electrical circuit was peper pencil test this with 15 item essay the realiability index of this test was 0.895 and this realiability very high. Based on posttest data analysis using the t test, the value of Asyim was obtained. Sig (2-tailed) of 0.027. Those value indicate that student achievement about electrical circuit differences in learning outcomes between students who use PhET Simulation media and students who do not use PhET Simulation media. Learning using media Physics Educational Tenology Simulation (PhET) about electrical circuits in SMP Negeri 24 Pontianak has an effect of 37.08% on the improvement of student learning outcomes.Keywords: Electrical Circuits, Learning Outcomes, Physic Educational Tecnology (PhET)

Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to measure the effectiveness of integrated remediation by using the Elicit Confront Identify Resolve Reinforce (ECIRR) learning model in minimizing the number of student misconceptions in momentum material in impulses. Pre-experimental design with One Group Pretest-Posttest was used in this research. The population in this study was all students of class XI of State Senior High School 10 Pontianak. The Researcher took the intact Group research sample so that it could be obtained in the XI IPA 3 class which consisted of 29 students. The instrument of this study utilized a diagnostic test with 15 item in the from of multiple choice with open reasons. The magnitude of the percentage showed a decrease in the number of students who experience misconceptions with the ECIRR model on momentum and impulse material is 44%. The research also conducted the McNemar test with a significance level of 5% which showed that there had been a significant change in the conception of students after being given an integrative remediation activity using the ECIRR model. The ECIRR model was considered very effective in remediating student misconceptions in momentum material in impulses with an effectivity value of 0,429 with high category according to Hattie barometer. In conclusion, the ECIRR model was effective in reducingthe number of student misconceptions. Kata kunci: ECIRR, Integrasi, Miskonsepsi, Remediasi

Abstract

AbstractThis study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of fast feedback method assisted by powerpoint to reduce students misconception on light material in SMA Islam Bawari Pontianak.  This study was quasi  pre-experimental design with one group pre-test post-test design. Data collection tool form multiple choice questions with closed reasons and three alternative answers. The sample was 31 students of class XI IPA selected intact group. The average decrease of student misconceptions were 34,41% with significant conceptual change by Mc Nemar test ( ). There was significant conceptual change after remediation by apply fastfeddback method assisted by powerpoint to reduce students misconception on light material. Result reveal that the effectiveness level was 0,56 (medium). This research is expected to be used as an alternative remediation activities to reduce misconception in learning process on light material.Keywords:   Remediasi, Fast Feedback, Miskonsepsi.

Abstract

Abstractthis research aimed to remediated of student’s misconceptions used LKPD based crossword puzzles on liquid pressure in Junior High School 6 Pontianak. This research used experiment method with pre-experimental design form used one group pretest-posttest design. This research used intact group technique which the outcome is class of VIII C with 32 students. The instrument of this research is a diagnostic test consist of 9 multiple choice questions. Based on the data analysis, the mean percentage of student's misconception decreasing is 44,26%. Mc Nemar statistic test result with dk = 1 and α = 5%showed > , this result showed that there is a significant change of the students' conception. The effect size of LKPD based crossword puzzle in the remediation of misconception is 1,49 (high category). It is expected to be used as an alternative teaching physics remediation to student's misconceptions. Keywords: Remediation, Misconceptions, LKPD, Crossword Puzzles, Liquid Pressure

Abstract

AbstractThis research purposed to explain: The difference of mathematic communication ability between the students who get Problem Solving Learning Model with screencast powerpoint video and powerpoint; The relation between mathematic communication ability and student’s activity in Problem Solving Learning Model with screencast powerpoint; The learning achievement in Problem Solving Learning Model with screencast powerpoint. This research is equivalent material design and the population are all the ninth grade students of SMP N 1 Menyuke that consist of six classes. The sample are two classes taken randomly, one class is chosen as experiment class and the other classes are as control classes.The experiment classes are applied Problem Solving Learning Model with screencast powerpoint video and control class with Problem Solving Learning Model with powerpoint. The instrument of this research are student’s worksheet monitoring and mathematic communication ability test. The result of analysis data use independent sample t test, the correlation analysis and one sample t test show that: There is significant difference of the mathematic communication ability between experiment class and control classes; There is positive corelation (high category) between the mathematic communication ability and student’s activity in experiment classes; Students get good learning achievement and good mathematic communication ability. Keyword: Problem Solving Learning Model with screencast powerpoint video,                   mathematic communication ability, student’s activity

Abstract

AbstractAbstract: This research aims to know the influence of the use of the ROTEZI (Refutation Text on Prezi) for social interactions to the lower of the number of students who experienced the misconception on the heat and temperature materials in SMA Negeri 3 Pontianak. The type of research in pseudo experiment with nonequivalent control group design. The sample in this study was XI IPA 4 as many as 37 students as experiment class and XI IPA 3 as much as 33 students as a control class. An instrument that being used in the form of multiple choice tests with open-ended rationale amounted to 9 reserved. The average percentage decrease in the number of students who have experienced the misconception on the experimental class of 52.23% while the average percentage decrease in the amount of money students are having a misconception on the control class was 43.43%. Based on the test results chi squared with a 5% significance level showed that there is a difference between the usage of Refutation Text on Prezi (ROTEZI) in social interactions with learning of conventional methods in lowering student misconceptions on the heat and temperature materials in SMA Negeri 3 Pontianak.Keywords: Misconception, prezi, refutation text, remediation, heat and temperature.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan representasi matematis dan kemampuan penyelesaian masalah siswa melalui model pembelajaran NHT berstruktur antisipasi didaktis. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan bentuk One group pretest-Posttest design. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh hasil bahwa (1) Kemampuan Representasi dilihat dari kemampuan sebelum dan sesudah diterapkan model NHT terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan (2) Kemampuan penyelesaian masalah Kemampuan Representasi dilihat dari kemampuan sebelum dan sesudah diterapkan model NHT terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan (3) Tingkat sumbangan yang di berikan model pembelajaran NHT berstruktur antisipasi didaktis terhadap kemampuan representasi matematis dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah tergolong besar dengan 41 % kemampuan representasi dan 42 % untuk kemampuan penyelesaian masalah.   Kata Kunci: Numbered Head Together, Antisipasi Didaktis, Kemampuan Representasi Matematis, Kemampuan Penyelesaian Masalah Abstract: This study aims to improve the ability of mathematical representation and problem solving ability of students through Numbered Heads Together (NHT) structured anticipation didactic. model of this research is experiment with One group pretest-posttest design. Based on the analysis, the result are (1) the ability Representation views of ability before and after applied NHT there is a significant increase (2) The ability to problem-solving ability Representation views of ability before and after applied NHT there is a significant increase (3) the level of effect given structured learning model NHT didactic anticipation of the ability of mathematical representation and problem solving skills is relatively large with 41% and 42% representation capability for problem resolution capabilities.
