Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of environmental factors, wage systems, coordination, and worker productivity on the completion time performance of government building construction projects in Pangkalpinang City. Using descriptive quantitative methods and multiple linear regression analysis, the results of the study indicate that these four variables simultaneously contribute 85.4% to project completion. The wage factor is the dominant factor with a contribution of 72.59%, indicating that an effective wage system can improve the efficiency of project completion. Possible solutions include providing wages based on skills, work duration, performance, type of work, and incentives to increase worker productivity. This study provides recommendations for project managers to optimize workforce management strategies to ensure projects are completed on time with optimal quality.

Abstract

This research examines red mud as a partial cement substitute in concrete, comparing normal concrete with 25% red-mud concrete (RM25) based on compressive strength, economic feasibility, waste absorption, and LCA environmental impact. Compressive strength tests were conducted at KAN-accredited Wika Beton Laboratory, and economic feasibility was evaluated using NPV, BCR, and IRR for paving-block production. The waste absorption capacity was calculated based on an annual production volume of 5,000 m². The LCA assessment was carried out in accordance with ISO 14040:2006, covering goal and scope definition, life cycle inventory (LCI), life cycle impact assessment (LCIA), and interpretation. The results showed that RM25 achieved a compressive strength of 36.93 MPa at 30 days, higher than normal concrete with 34.15 MPa. Economically, RM25 recorded a production cost of IDR 1,480,085/m³, with a positive NPV, an IRR of 43.9%, and BCR > 1. In addition, RM25 enabled the absorption of approximately 41.8 tons of red mud waste per year in paving-block production. The LCA results also indicated a reduction in environmental impacts, particularly in the global warming potential category, due to reduced cement consumption. Overall, the 25% red-mud formulation is considered feasible for practical implementation as it meets both technical and economic requirements while providing environmental benefits through emission reduction and enhanced industrial waste utilization.

Abstract

The global maritime sector contributes around 2.5% of total CO2 emissions, the majority of which originate from shipping and port operations. Shorebase is a port that plays an essential role in the oil and gas sector, but its logistical activities add significantly to overall port emissions. The implementation of green ports at shorebase is a method and resolve to emphasize the importance of a safe environment. This study analyzes the influence of management, technical, and digitalization factors on cost performance in a green shorebase project using Value Engineering (VE) and Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA). Results show the technical aspect has the most significant impact at 58%, followed by management (20.6%) and digitalization (20%). Green shorebase performance contributes 97% to cost performance. VE implementation generated operational cost savings of IDR 1,135,948,542 or 7% of initial costs, exceeding efficiency benchmarks (Ekanayake et al., 2018). LCCA results indicate the project is feasible, with a Benefit Cost Ratio of 3.33, NPV of IDR 25,989,577,423, IRR of 49% (above the 20% discount factor), and a payback period of 3.93 years. These findings confirm that VE and LCCA are effective in optimizing costs and improving project feasibility. This research serves as a reference for applying green and smart port concepts in Indonesian shorebase projects.

Abstract

The Global Warming phenomenon caused by the greenhouse gas effect that raises the need for sustainable energy management, especially in the Data Center Industry which is known to contribute 2% of emissions, because 35% of energy use is for cooling. This study aims to analyze the influence of government policy factors, agency commitments, and finances on investment costs based on Value Engineering in the Green Data Center project, find the dominant factor among the factors assessed, calculate Value engineering on the investment costs of the Green Data Center to calculate the life cycle Cost Analysis. The research method uses a combination of quantitative & Qualitative methods with data collection techniques through Primary Data and Secondary Data, Secondary data is obtained based on project information such as Bill of Quantity, Technical Specifications and project reports. Primary data is obtained through questionnaires to stakeholders of the Data Center project, as well as multiple linear regression analysis to test the relationship between variables. The results of the study indicate that the factors assessed have a significant effect on the investment costs of environmentally friendly projects. The application of a renewable energy system through the Value Engineering stages has proven effective in optimizing investment costs through identifying the use of an energy-efficient Liquid cooling cooling system for medium-scale Data Centers which results in savings of around 15.34% and increases Energy Use Efficiency (PUE). While Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA) shows long-term operational savings and a return on investment that is considered fast > than 3 years, the Green Data Center project is feasible to implement. The most dominant factor is the financial support aspect, followed by government policy and agency commitment. This study reinforces the importance of implementing environmentally friendly concepts to support energy efficiency in supporting climate change control and providing long-term economic benefits.

Abstract

This community engagement initiative aims to enhance the understanding of micro-enterprises in Indonesia regarding the dangers of fraudulent investments, which are increasingly prevalent and often target small business groups with promises of high returns. The target audience includes micro-entrepreneurs in the [insert location], who typically have limited access to financial literacy and reliable investment information. The implementation methods involved face-to-face and online sessions, including awareness campaigns, interactive discussions, and simulations to identify characteristics of illegal investments. The results indicate a significant improvement in participants’ understanding of fraudulent investment schemes, the importance of investment institution legality, and preventive steps to avoid financial scams. This program also produced a simple educational module that can be independently used by micro-entrepreneurs. The activity underscores the importance of collaboration between academics, local governments, and financial institutions in strengthening the financial literacy resilience of the public, particularly within the vulnerable micro-enterprise sector.

Abstract

The toll road project is a construction project where each stage is quite complex and there is a potential for delays in implementation. In the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, the use of digital construction technology is highly emphasized, one of which is the implementation of BIM. BIM is becoming an important digital asset for decision-making and data. The analysis was carried out to find the influence of BIM on the quality of engineering products and the performance of implementation time using the linear regression analysis method. The results of the analysis found that there was a 73.80% influence of BIM implementation on the quality of engineering products and there was a 77.10% influence of engineering product quality on the performance of implementation time.

Abstract

Low safety literacy rates in students are a serious problem, in addition, the threat of fire also looms over school environments and residential areas. Tadika Pertiwi High School, located at Jl. H. Jaeran No. 1, Cinere, Depok, needs to improve students’ ability to address these two risks. This initiative aims to enhance students’ understanding of traffic safety and fire safety, as well as to strengthen international partnerships with UTHM in Malaysia. The method used for traffic safety and fire safety awareness activities involved conveying traffic safety and fire safety messages to students. The outcomes of these activities include students gaining knowledge and adopting safe driving behaviors, as well as learning about driving safety, the importance of obeying speed limits and traffic regulations, and procedures for fire mitigation. The results of the activity showed that students' understanding of traffic safety increased 52% and fire safety increased 51%.
