Abstract

In an effort to make the nation's life more intelligent, one of the activities that KKN students need to carry out is activities in the field of education. KKN students are expected to be able to develop various community service activity programs, one of which also touches on educational aspects. One of the locations chosen was Purbasari Village, Tapian Dolok District, Simalungun Regency as a KKN location. Judging from the type of information, the research approach used in this research is a qualitative approach. This research shows that the KKN-32 group plays a good and influential role for village communities and for educational institutions in the village in improving children's education in the village and empowering the community. In this case, the KKN-32 group in Purbasari Village, Tapian Dolok District, Simalungun Regency has a good role in helping the community and village educational institutions in improving education.

Abstract

Community service is a manifestation of the duties of lecturers and students in carrying out the third Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely Community Service. Through community service activities carried out in Lingga Cultural Village, Simpang Empat District, Karo Regency, there is a synergy between universities and the community as a form of mutual tolerance and socialization. The purpose of this service is to embrace the community in socializing and also uphold religious meaning in the life of Muslim minority communities. Community service is carried out through socialization activities with the village community, carrying out various kinds of competitions, mutual cooperation and teaching activities. The results of the service provide an illustration of increasing enthusiasm and increasing understanding of the community, especially teachers and parents about religious tolerance and also socializing with each other without distinguishing race, ethnicity, religion from one anither. Abstract

High levels of cholesterol in the blood can increase the risk of hypertension, coronary heart disease (CHD), stroke, peripheral artery disease (PAD), and type 2 diabetes. One potential plant for traditional medicine to lower cholesterol levels is Cassia alata L. Cassia alata L. is known to contain flavonoid compounds, suspected to act as cholesterol-lowering agents in the body. This study aimed to determine the anti-cholesterol activity of Cassia alata L. in reducing cholesterol levels in male white mice (Mus musculus L.). The research employed an experimental design, utilizing the maceration method with 96% ethanol as the solvent for extraction. Male white mice aged 3-4 months, weighing 20-30 grams, were used as test subjects. The first group served as the positive control using simvastatin suspension, the second group as the negative control using 0.5% Na CMC solution, the third group received Cassia alata L. extract at a concentration of F1 (10%), F2 (20%), F3 (30%). Data analysis was performed using One Way Anova. The results of the One-way Anova test obtained F count 31.192 > F table 3.48 and sig. value of 0.000 <0.05, so Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted which can be concluded that there is an effect of anticholesterol activity on Cassia alata L. extract. concentration of 10%, 20%, and 30%. Then in the Post Hoc Test using LSD, K (+) showed the same results as F3 (30%) with a significant value of 0.54 so that p>0.05 which showed no significant difference in anticholesterol effectiveness between K (+) and F3 (30%). The results revealed that Cassia alata L. extract at concentrations of 10%, 20%, and 30% exhibited activity in reducing cholesterol levels, which is F3 (30%) demonstrating the most significant cholesterol-lowering effect. This is attributed to the presence of flavonoid compounds in the Cassia alata L. extract.

Abstract

Changes in Islamic elementary schools (as known as madrasah ibtidaiyah) are a response to the strong demands and pressures in the world of education today. The increasingly open competition encourages madrasah ibtidaiyah to change the direction of its learning and management model, which is no longer top-down, but more accommodating. This research was conducted at MIN Malang 1 and MIN 2 Druju Malang Regency. Research conducted between 2018-2019 involved many informants, including the head of the madrasa, deputy head of the madrasa, teachers, educational staff, and guardians of students. The data used as the basis for analysis are the results of observations, interviews, and documentation studies. From the data analysis, it was found that changes in madrasah ibtidaiyah occurred not only in the curriculum aspect, but also in institutional management in general. This allows madrasah ibtidaiyah to compete with other educational institutions because they have adopted an interactive-accommodative education system by juxtaposing two kinds of education; religion and general. This study confirms that the changes that occur in madrasah ibtidaiyah are not only aimed at increasing competence so that they are able to compete openly with various existing educational institutions, but also in order to show themselves as the main choice of students in obtaining knowledge that is not limited to religious knowledge. However, changes like this have the opportunity to forget the substance of the change itself, namely the presence of a new form of education that is more accommodating and responsive. Therefore, a madrasah ibtidaiyah management model is needed that is able to respond to scientific and social challenges comprehensively in the future.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is based on the problem of (a) How can the application of the discussion method in the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subject, the topic of discussion about Getting to Know Worship in the Month of Ramadan, improve student learning achievement in Class VI SDN Sumbersari 04 Odd Semester 2022/2023 Academic Year? Meanwhile, the aim of this research is to determine the application of the discussion method in the subject of Islamic Religious Education (PAI), the main topic of discussion about Getting to Know Worship in the Month of Ramadhan can improve student learning achievement in Class VI SDN Sumbersari 04 Odd Semester 2022/2023 Academic Year. Each round consists of four stages, namely: Planning, Action, observation and reflection. The target of this research is class VI students for the 2022-2023 academic year. The data obtained is in the form of formative test results, observation sheets of teaching and learning activities. From the results of the analysis, it was found that the low results of the Islamic Religious Education test at SDN Sumbersari 04 is a challenge for educators to improve the quality of education at SDN Sumbersari 04. Therefore, the author is interested in conducting research related to discussion methods in the subject of Islamic Religious Education ( PAI) which the author formulated in the title "Application of Active Learning with Discussion Methods to Improve Student Achievement in Islamic Religious Education Subjects. Discussion Points: Getting to Know the Worship of the Month of Ramadan in Class VI SDN Sumbersari 04 Odd Semester 2022/2023 Academic Year". Abstrak Penelitian ini berdasarkan permasalahan (a) Bagaimana penerapan metode diskusi pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) pokok pembahasan tentang Mengenal Ibadah pada Bulan Ramadhan dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa di Kelas VI SDN Sumbersari 04 Semester Ganjil Tahun Pelajaran 2022/2023? Sedangkan tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penerapan metode diskusi pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) pokok pembahasan tentang Mengenal Ibadah pada Bulan Ramadhan dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa di Kelas VI SDN Sumbersari 04 Semester Ganjil Tahun Pelajaran 2022/2023. Setiap putaran terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu : Perencanaan, Tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Sasaran penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VI Tahun pelajaran 2022-2023. Data yang diperoleh berupa hasil tes formatif, lembar observasi kegiatan belajar mengajar. Dari hasil analis didapatkan bahwa rendahnya hasil tes Pendidikan Agama Islam di SDN Sumbersari 04 merupakan tantangan bagi para pendidik untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di SDN Sumbersari 04. Maka dari itu, penulis tertarik untuk mengadakan penelitian yang berhubungan dengan metode diskusi pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) yang penulis formulasikan dalam judul “Penerapan Pembelajaran Aktif dengan Metode Diskusi untuk Meningkatkan Prestasi Siswa pada Mata Pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam Pokok Pembahasan Mengenal Ibadah Bulan Ramadhan di Kelas VI SDN Sumbersari 04 Semester Ganjil Tahun Pelajaran 2022/2023”.

Abstract

The curriculum is a crucial element in the implementation of learning in a school. The curriculum plays a role in determining the direction, purpose, or goals of national education. Without a curriculum, any education system will not be well-executed, and educational goals cannot be optimally achieved. So important is the curriculum to education that the government has made amendments to it ten times. Since 2020 until now, the Ministry of Education and Culture has issued a policy in the form of a curriculum change from the 2013 curriculum to the "Merdeka Belajar" curriculum. The main purpose of these curriculum amendments is to maximize and optimize students' learning outcomes or academic achievements at all levels, from elementary, junior high, senior high/vocational schools, to higher education. This is done by giving students the freedom to choose subjects according to their talents and interests. In light of this, the researcher is interested in conducting a study on the impact of the "Merdeka Belajar" curriculum on students' learning outcomes, to determine whether this curriculum change has a positive or negative effect on students' academic achievements. In this research, the researcher uses a quantitative approach with a correlational analysis method. Data collection instruments include questionnaire completion and data retrieval in the form of the GPA of third-semester students. The researcher's analysis of the questionnaire results and GPA data indicates that the "Merdeka Belajar" curriculum (MBKM) has a significant and positive influence on students' learning outcomes or academic achievements.

Abstract

This study explores the integration of technology in Islamic education management and its impact on enhancing teacher professionalism, particularly techno-pedagogical competence, in the digital era. Objective: The research aims to examine innovative strategies for improving the management of Islamic education and fostering teacher professionalism to meet the challenges of the digital age. Methods: A literature review approach was employed, synthesizing findings from various academic sources to highlight key developments, challenges, and opportunities in Islamic education management and teacher development. Results: The findings reveal that effective integration of technology enhances educational efficiency, quality, and access to resources while fostering innovative teaching methods and collaborative environments. Teacher professionalism is critical for achieving educational goals and is supported by strategies such as training, digital literacy programs, and professional development initiatives tailored to align with Islamic principles. The role of school administrators and government in facilitating these advancements is also significant. Novelty: This study contributes to the discourse on Islamic education by emphasizing the dual role of technology in administrative management and pedagogical enhancement. It underscores the necessity for holistic strategies to prepare educators for a digitally driven educational landscape, ensuring that Islamic educational institutions remain relevant, innovative, and aligned with their religious and moral values.

Abstract

This article discusses the role of training in managing Human Resources (HR) in schools and its impact on the quality of administration. Through a qualitative research method with a literature study approach, this study identified four main outcomes: (1) improved administrative skills that support task effectiveness; (2) positive impact of training on the motivation and performance of administrative personnel; (3) effectiveness of data-based decision-making; and (4) improved team coordination and interdepartmental communication. The findings suggest that training improves technical skills and creates a more harmonious and productive work environment. This article is expected to provide insights for school managers and administrative staff in optimizing HR management to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

Educational services in educational institutions often face challenges related to the performance of administrative personnel, which has an impact on the quality of educational services. This study aims to analyze the strategies applied by administrative staff in improving the quality of education services. Using a qualitative research method with a literature study approach, this study reviewed several journals and reports related to education management. The results show that an effective strategy involves three main stages, namely strategy formulation, implementation and evaluation. Supporting factors for administrative staff performance include government policy support, adequate technology and continuous training, while inhibiting factors include lack of training, resistance to new technology and limited infrastructure in remote areas. This research confirms the importance of implementing comprehensive strategies to improve the quality of administrative services, which has a positive impact on student achievement and the overall effectiveness of the education process.

Abstract

Kelurahan pekajangan kabupaten pekalongan memiliki banyaknya penderita penyakit kolesterol terutama ibu-ibu, dibuktikan dengan survei dari posyandu lansia di kelurahan pekajangan dengan nilai 20% dari ibu-ibu usia 40-60 tahun menderita penyakit kolesterol. Penyakit kolesterol dapat diatasi dengan pengobatan alami yang dapat diperoleh dari berbagai tanaman, salah satu tanaman yang dapat digunakan untuk terapi kolesterol adalah tanaman secang. Perlunya pemanfaatan tanaman tersebut terutama sebagai terapi alami antikolesterol. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan yaitu berbentuk penyuluhan dan pelatihan pembuatan wedang secang dari tanaman secang kepada masyarakat. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat dapat mengetahui cara pembuatan wedang secang. Selain itu, terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan dari para peserta pengabdian kepada masyarakat berkaitan dengan pengelolaan tanaman obat berupa secang menjadi minuman wedang secang sebagai terapi alami antikolestrol.
